When applying your serum you should apply it on your fingers, not palms. The serum will easier absorb in the pals than the fingers so when you apply it on your face you get less product which we don’t want!❤️
Actually, pushing serums, & creams into the face with the palms of the hands can, & will prevent pilling/balling up of certain products allowing the product to absorb better than what the fingertips can provide alone.

I made the mistake of applying to much and not dampening my face before application. Now my nose and mouth areas are really dry, itchy, red and peeling, probably since that’s where most of the excess product managed to layer up. Still the rest of my face looks amazing after using it

Hey Cathy. I use the Paula’s choice BHA and it has worked wonders for my skin like you said. But I’ve been suffering dehydration for a long time and have just not been able to stop it (I have oily skin and suffer from dehydration, it’s the worst 😩). So what I want to know is do I use the serum directly after cleansing then use the Paula’s choice BHA after. Or the BHA directly after cleansing then use the serum after? Which would be the best in your opinion. My skin produces a lot of oil cause of the dehydration but I also suffer from acne, which I’m pretty sure is hormonal as it’s around my chin and stuff. And I also get blackheads and my pores are visible which is what I use the BHA for and omg I just have all the skin issues. I have genetic dark circles too 😂. Still looking for some good inexpensive products for all of that stuff though I know I can’t get rid of the dark circles completely. So if you’ve got any recommendations that would be great to. But mostly I just wanna know which product I should use first after cleansing.

I am assuming you have sensitive skin and so do I! So yes you don’t have to use a lot of products in the morning. I also don’t cleanse in the morning :) however, I recommend using a moisturizer with your sunscreen.
I have sensitive oily skin too. I use a gentle cleanser and only a sunscreen, one which doesn’t contain ethanol ( my skin can’t really tolerate it) and doubles as my moisturiser. When I add a moisturiser my face is a greasy mess ! Make your own skincare rules and don’t follow others’. Listen to ur skin

Nighttime routine you can copy for daytime but avoid no actives that make your skin sensitive to the sun (exfoliators like bha, retinoids, etc but you should be careful with those anyway if you get redness and sensitivity). Pay attention to your skin and less is more! Do your own thing that works for you!!! 👍👍👍
Tbh these are just small optimizations. Any of these are more preferences. I like to press to make sure I get it all in there but dabbing, spreading all works! Just… no slapping haha 🙃

First i have really oily skin and its a acne prone skin , and for that i use cereva benzoyl peroxide face wash. So what, i have decided to add some ordinary products in my routine: At evening 1. Cereva benzoyl peroxide facewash 2. Tonner 3. Retional idk which i percentage should i use 0.2 0r 0.5 4. Layering with hydrochloric acid 5. And then niacinamide serum. And some fluners where sayin we shouldn't be using retional right after washing our face, we should apply hyaluronic acid then put the retional but in other yt channels they sayin its okai to put retional first and then do the layering. And benzoyl peroxide and retional doenst go well together also. Please help. And my morning routine is: 1. Wash my face with same face wash. 2. Tonner. 3. Hydroloncic acid 4. Niacinamide 5. Sun cream and apply makeup. Is it okai to apply makeup after using all the serum and closing up with sunscrean

I know I’m not Cathy but sensitive skin is a skin concern. Basically it just means your skin absorbs products a lot quicker than normal which is why it stings. Some products of course sting more cause they’re supposed to absorb quickly. Your skin type is how much oil your skin naturally produces. You said you have combination skin which means in some areas like your T-zone produce a lot or some oil whereas other places on your face your pores don’t produce a whole lot. Cathy has a lot of other videos to recommend products for different skin types and so does Hyram. But yes. It is possible to have combination and sensitive skin. Just like you can have oily skin and dehydrated skin. I personally have oily skin which a lot of skin concerns including sensitive and dehydration. Be grateful you dont, it’s the worst 😂

Yes, that should be fine. HA helps brings moisture to the skin surface after cleansing. After using your serum, a moisturizer would be great to ensure your skin wouldn't dry out. Often times you can find HA already in the serum or moisturizer, in which case you wouldn't need to double down on the HA.

Yes, that should be fine. HA helps brings moisture to the skin surface after cleansing. After using your serum, a moisturizer would be great to ensure your skin wouldn't dry out. Often times you can find HA already in the serum or moisturizer, in which case you wouldn't need to double down on the HA.
