In today's video, I am going into detail about what a D1 pitcher looks like in high school plus what college coaches are looking for, and how to get noticed.
Most of these attributes don't just apply to D1 but to all the levels - D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO.
Are we going to talk about velocity? Of course, watch the video or listen to the podcast.
But it's not all about velocity.
Velocity or physical attributes do not guarantee success as a pitcher, a good pitcher typically has a great understanding of the game, good repeatable mechanics, mental toughness, and the ability to adapt.
In addition, coaches often look for pitchers who are aggressive, have a good work ethic, and are coachable.
