good video ! Thanks for the explanation so if I have a stock offset of 59 mm and try to put in a tire that has an offset 43 mm , would there be any significant fitment issues?
Platinum Wheels I’m thinking of wheels for my 03 Monte Carlo and I’m thinking of 17x7.5 with a 45 mm offset. I’m worried about rubbing issues because of the increase in wheel size. No suspension has been touched on the car yet.
Ok cool, gut feel for me says that will work just fine. Just FYI: Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 7.7mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 17.7mm more than before.
I've spent hours on various sites trying to understand something you just explained PERFECTLY in under a minute! Well done!
Great video
Others are justing beating around the bush and making the topic too complex.
He explained it very well in under a minute Kudos ! to that
Fast and to the point. Great vid!
WOW all these other videos lasted 2min or more and left me confused. YOURS was less than a min and now i understand what offset means! Thanks

By far the best explanation for offset.
These are the kind of videos I like.Informative and straight to it.👍
Short and absolutely clear! Nice one 👍🏻
Thanks a lot, the best explanation on offset I've seen yet 😊
clear and concise, well done
Great vid. I have a -12 offset on a truck with spacers. Came out looking good.
Yes sensei! Now we know what Johnny did after closing down Cobra Kai 🥋
Understood in 53 sec. Nice video
Awesome, thank you
My question is what number starts from the positive offset, do they start from lower numbers?
Question please, so if the new wheel I want to switch to is more negative offset it will be okay to use right?
Good explanation, thanks.
No problem, thanks for watching! What else would you like to know?

Are most oem wheels 0 - +20 ?
If the original wheel has 40mm offset, would a wheel set with only 38mm offset make any difference if all other specs are the same?
If I went from a 50 mm offset to a 40 mm offset, that would push the wheel out more, right?
Yes, as long as the wheel is the same width

How wide are the current wheels?
Platinum Wheels they’re 16x6.5
Ok cool, gut feel for me says that will work just fine.

But other than that why is it important as far as performance ?
Nice, you did well without the 5 minute ridiculous intro scenes and special effects. Thank you brother
Simple is key huh! thanks for watching
