  • In a world obsessed with sexual attraction, what does it mean to be asexual? How does asexuality relate to gender roles, romance, and consent? What is the role of sexuality in causing conflicts within ourselves and in society? Is it okay to have an open relationship over not meeting each other's needs? The author of this book wants to enable readers to realize, reveal, and embrace who they are regardless of their sexual orientation. To get a deeper understanding of sexuality, desire, society, and meaning of sex, be sure to watch the full video.

Ikr, but having an asexual partner makes me feel like I'm not worth it, yeah I know I'm wrong but without sex it doesn't feel like I'm really loved by my partner.
Extreme love without sex is still incomplete imo.
It's an art which needs two individuals to paint it.
And here i am feeling single in a relationship.

    Love your open talks.
Problem in India is most boys grow up craving sex influenced by media and porn. 80 to 90% of his requirement from a woman is sex. He is more happy with his male friends (less drama) when it comes to other requirements. The need for sex and the lack of easy access to it (like in other countries) is one of the most important reason men even feel there is a need to get married. Girls grow up with the mindset of sex is dirty, bad, perverted etc instead of looking at it as a biological requirement (unless you are an exception).
Ultimately they get married and he is upset if he doesn't get sex as often as he wants. She is upset if she has to provide that frequently.
Also as suggested by you if one partner is asexual or doesn't need as much, s/he cannot talk to their partner on getting it outside. It just is not possible in India with our conservative mindset. S/he would be expected to be content with whatever one is getting because it is sufficient for one of the partners. It's like one person is content with 2 meals a day while the other is expected to be ok with it too even if they need 3 meals a day. Learn to control your hunger or hide your outside meals is more common today. So many are doing this without their partner knowing for fear of (1) being judged negatively (2) leading to divorce etc etc
It is better people talk in advance before getting married on their sexual compatibility, be open discussing it or live in relationship to understand each others compatibility on sex and others. But both these are not possible in India. So better option is people don't get married and live separate lives than live empty fake lives of being happy to the outside world.

True, there's also the case of women not getting orgasm during their time with their male partners after marriage, since there are still some who thinks the sex ends when he is satisfied.
Also if you're in a relationship with a asexual person, better option is to divorce under false terms so as to not affect their remarriage status (in india), but if its not on the table, then open up the relationship under strict clearly spoken rules (aka have an open relationship), tho i don't recommend this one cause it's not easy to form rule satisfying both parties and also making sure it doesn't affect their relationship/family connections. Then there's also polygamy, idk if its a thing in india yet.

I admire your work . I would like to share my understanding Ananthi akka . You mentioned a guy who asked how you manage your sexual needs or desire after a breakup or whatever. I think sexual need is a very personal and private thing , ofcourse we can talk and share our views ,but there is no need for a person to ask a fellow person as to how they fulfill their desire of sexual need. I am sharing this because what happens generally is that we ourselves have a scant understanding of sexual desire till we actually encounter experience. These days many teenage girls are targeted with this question in Instagram and other platforms where adult guys ask minor girls about this, and this generally ends up wrong . When a person with a prior experience asks someone having no such experience ( not desire) it leads to a wrong understanding. Desire is not equal to understanding of sexual experience. The guy you mentioned must have been probably a pervert . We need to be careful when we discuss about these things because it differs from person to person when it comes to intentions behind the question. Girls generally get affected and by the time they realize what has happened ,they land up in bad experience or even unknown harassment. I have seen this happening with my college students and my own cousin. And this could also happen with boys .

Sometimes I feel like go somewhere without any notice or shave my head or change myself like Monk(though am an atheist, to escape from family pressure).. Can't able to attend any function normally like others,, they will ask about my marriage to my siblings and parents instead of asking me... Think that if a girl has no choice to deny marriage because of their parents and siblings Societical status, what she will do.. It's true that it's everyone's choice to decide if we want to marry or not but people(parents) from the previous generation consider us as their sin if we tried to take such a stand on our sexuality. What they have gone through is what they think we have to go through too. I hope they get to watch your videos and learn these basic needs and rights🫶🏼🫶🏼

Question for Chat day show :-
How to develop an interest to live the moment, I am almost in the verge of giving up everything like if I put extra effort that effort goes for waste.
Eg I gave my blood and sweat for a project eventually the company dropped the project and we were all fired.
Took up a new job totally irrelevant but by the time I could get a hold I was again sent out due to covid cases.
Now with all this how can I ever get into a relationship anyways I am pretty old.. How to find the purpose of my existence?? Trust you will read this question 🙏🙏🙏

Life always opens up other things or opportunities when it shuts a door. to be able to receive it, one needs to be happy. who knows maybe you might become a youtuber or something else. first stop worrying and start living. things will sort out by itself very soon. be happy, do things that make you happy, small small things and start being grateful. slowly things will get uplifted and change and shift. all the very best. age is only a number. one can feel young at 96 and another can feel very old at 36. hope this helps even thought i am not Anandhi. 🙂

Opening up about the problem one faces is the initial step toward a solution, but it is very limited in our society's structure. Also, our society evaluates/accepts a person by comparison to others, rather than understanding each individual is unique.

It's their mistake that they don't speak their mind on what relationship they want... Marriage is a relationship where they share their life with their partner. Marriage pandrathuku munadi sex vena nu neraya Peru solluvanga for many reasons... Only when they make it clear what type relationship they want.. the other can understand. Marriage ku munadiyum vena marriage ku approm uh vena nah ena artham without giving the crt reason.
I have frnd who got married.. love marriage. After marriage, the boy was not at all interested in sex... This thing affected her whole life. If he had told this before marriage clearly... She wouldn't have took that decision of marriage or else she would have accepted that way.

It's nice to explore sex in a different angle by keeping porn and movies away.
My suggestion is you can also educate school students on this topic.

  • @nomoskarramin637

Also people (especially women) don't immediately come to a conclusion you're asexual, in india most adult content is driven towards men (just like porn industry, only lately there's rise in porn for women), not every women is as comfortabe with it since sex is still seen as a taboo, and women liking sex is seen in bad light. So it's not your fault if you dont like adult flims, or jokes. There's also a factor that lack of sex education made men not know how to satisfy a women (not saying all, but its more). Maybe wait until you got properly diagnosed or have a good "encounter".

If I am an asexual, I would never marry a heterosexual girl. It's cheating.
It's great that you accept your husband out of love. But Imagine if it's opposite, say, a guy founds out her wife as an asexual, he would either divorce or maintain a sexual relationship outside.

Hi sister whatever it is we need sex in every three days if partner accepts or not accepts. If partner not accepts say please then have sex with partner. Neenga sollara madiri partner no solla mudiaadhu. Otherwise unnecessary problems in the family. Generally we need to support partner whenever we need sex. Both are support each other then no problem will raised. Important will love100% each other. Then partner never said no. It’s my past 13 years of experience.😊

Hi Ananthi, now the biggest problem for you to make this content to reach the Asexual people. Immediately after seeing the title, they may think, this is also another video talking about sex and skip this. Even, if I forward to my asexual friend, she may think this is a other nasty content. Anyway, it helps us to understand their feelings and act accordingly. Thank you so much
