Thank you Mariam, I'm so happy to hear that🥰 Itz actually really frustrating for me to film in natural light as the room I can film in gets sun all day long! This completely turns me yellow and washes everything out. I find that if I block out all this sunlight and just use LED lights at daylight setting I can get true to colour
That blush i am definitely gonna look for. And u looked absolutely beautiful .yes der is a lot on youtube but anyone showing up here taking der time off der day to follow what they like i think we should all appreciate that.so hats of to u.and keep going 👍🏼
You are absolutely right! Thanks so much Rajdeep. That blush is so beautiful. If you can't get a hold of it, colourpop has a shade called quarters which is similar
that lip combo looks absolutely divine! it made me so happy to see a lot of my favorites in this video. the shiseido blush and patrick ta lip liner are going in my cart next 😋 really love this look on you! super pretty 😍 ah, would you have any thoughts on the laura mercier tinted moisturizer vs the nars one?
Thank you Jan! So happy to hear we have similar favourites!! Yay! You will love the shiseido blush and Patrick ta lip liner, both are fab! I hvnt tried the Laura mercier tinted moisturiser, I'm normally really into foundations and not tinted moisturisers. Nars is the first one I've tried. What about you?
@@RashiRamalho strayed away from foundations since wearing a mask became a requirement 😭 tinted moisturizers have just been so forgiving and easy to wear. i'm thinking about picking up the nars one too after seeing how pretty it is on you 🥺
@@myskz325 that makes perfect sense. So far I'm enjoying the Nars, itz so hasle free and easy to use. I also really like that it has spf 30. I will do a proper review video on it soon🤗
Omg! I started off with a similar story at bobbi brown and it caked up so badly too! Only i was too new and didnt know muxh abt makeup! Forward 12 years and i realise it was my dry undereyes which dont take powder too well!
As a WoC, I've def had that inexperienced CS. I grew-up in a very Caucasian area, so anytime I would try to get my makeup done it would always look strange. Going thru puberty, I legit thought I was just too ugly to wear makeup well. It was only when I found the confidence to look for stuff myself that I realized the issue was the white-oriented CS.
Oh no! I think many brown skintones would have had the same issues when living in Caucasian dominated areas or to be fair even when living in brown dominated areas that are driven by Caucasian marketing. Having youtube really helps with that otherwise the recommendations I used to get were just terrible for my skintone! Waste of money and like you said, look strange in the process🙄
I love all your video's! I had almost the same experience with Bobbi Brown years ago, and last December I rediscovered them with the corrector peach. I really love it! How is the Nars tinted moisturizer compared to the fenty. Which one do you prefer? I totally love the blush and the lips... My wallet is not going to like this 😅 also I would really love more tutorials if you are into it. Do you think this blush will work with dry skin?
Oh gosh can't believe we have had such similar BB experience and ended up getting peach! Thanks so much btw for your comment. You are so sweet🤗 I will do more tutorials:) in terms of shiseido blush I don't see why it would be a problem for dry skin but just in case look up some reviews hopefully from someone with dry skin so you can double check. Fenty has more coverage than Nars but nars is a better colour match for me. Fenty can get cakey on me so I have to make sure to use it a certain way whereas nars is just super easy to use. No fuss with nars so I have been enjoying using it so far. I still have to try it a few more times and then il do a proper review video on it. Fenty is also more longer lasting than nars I think but so far I prefer the look and feel of nars.
@@RashiRamalho thank you for your thorough reply. Crazy right about BB! I feel as though they weren't familiar with our skintones back then 🤷🏽♀️ I ended up ordering the shisheido blush I think with a good a Skin routine I can't go wrong. And I was going back and forth with regards to the tinted moisturizer but I will think about it some more. I think I will be giving Nars a try!
@@sabinebansidhar381 I cosign for Nars if you’re still considering. Also important to note the difference in finish. Nars has a radiant glow whereas the Fenty has a natural matte.
Sorry Pallavi I don't live in India so don't know what brands are available there. For this look you can easily just add moisturiser to your foundation to sheer it out and you'll get the same 'tinted moisturiser' look🥰
Yay that's awesome!! I get CT from either Cult Beauty or Beautylish. I get quicker shipping with Beautylish but sometimes Cult Beauty can be slightly cheaper due to conversion rates etc
@@RashiRamalho ooh I’ll wait for your video before buying then! If you were to pick a shade for the smash box foundation, which one would you choose? :)
Seconding this! I tried this early morning at the Shiseido counter and spent th whole day at the mall (in 2019), walking around the sun, etc. It was still on my cheeks after an hour long bus ride home. 😊YMMV though
Your Bobby Brown story reminds me of the horror story of when my mom took us to one of their counters to get matched with a foundation. It was obvious that the employees had never worked on dark skin (my sister and I are darker than you). They for some reason matched to our foreheads?!?!?! Thus making our faces like 4 shades darker than our necks and chest. It looked awful and they knew it too. The person working on me then tried to fix it with the worst eyeshadow and the most heinous color of bright pink lipstick. It was traumatizing and I've never been back to a Bobbi Brown counter.
Omg!!! I swear every brown girl must have had an experience similar to this. I have stopped getting my makeup done by people anymore because of multiple bad experiences. Argh itz so frustrating. I wish companies would actually spend some money on properly training their staff and getting them into makeup application courses for various skintypes. How can they possibly sell us anything if they don't even know what they are doing.

Wow now thatz a compliment haha Thanks sooo much!! I film more tutorials🥰
I LOVE watching your content! As a brown girl, I can't thank you enough for putting out content on makeup that works on our skin tone.
