Thank you for the review! Just 2 suggestions: the intro audio seems too loud (or you too quiet) and the bag is visibly out of focus most of the talking time which is a little distracting.
Very valid points! thanks for sharing! I'll try to increase my aperture so that both my face and the bag can be in focus at the same time. and on the audio, I probably got a little lazy in editing and didn't catch it. I'll try to do better on future videos!
I love peak but your totally right on the everyday backpack I got the manfrotto Chicago instead. Thinking about grabbing the 6L v2 or the 3L v2 for out and about with the kid and around town.
They are great for those day trips! My main thing is to have enough room for a water bottle. Always needed when you're out and about! thanks for watching!
@@JamesDBuzzard I haven't found the side access to be an important feature to me. But so many people love it! What are you using now? The hunt for the perfect bag never stops!
@@KendrickDischCreative right now I am not really using backpacks too much I have a manfrotto h55 and skb 4213-12 that get the most use. If I am just bringing a single camera I usually use the PGYTech OneGo backpack or the peak design everyday sling 6L that I just got. Really digging the 6L for when I just need an ipad and a camera so mostly meetings and stuff. I still use the manfrotto Chicago bag because I like the look of it but I'm not a huge fan of the side pockets. Favorite bag I ever have had is the Manfrotto Manhattan backpack. Idk why I sold it. If I buy another bag it will probably be the manfrotto manhattan for the back opening slot and removable insert.
Would you feel more comfortable carrying the iPad in this bag without a camera? I’m considering it for carrying my iPad Pro 11 inch with magic keyboard plus a small notebook, wallet and some pens.
Hey there, thanks for watching! Yes, I just tried it with nothing but my 11" Ipad Air + magic keyboard and it's a pretty good fit. The only issue is the iPad is a bit of a pain to get in and out due to how for forward the zippers are vs where the iPad slides in. But it's a good fit and without the pressure from being full, I don't see any problem.
Thanks for the great video! I have the same camera and two similar lenses and would set the bag up exactly as you have. I've been wondering if I could fit a small water bottle in the 6L, so your video has answered all my questions.
I might have been too dumb to figure it out, but I did try to switch it up a few ways and couldn’t make it wear like I wanted. Happy to be wrong on this point!
@@KendrickDischCreative I wear mine the way you want to, and the end result is that the slide lock mechanism will be on your back. But it doesn't matter since you won't need to adjust it more than once for this mode to work. I would try simply wearing it on your left side first, before doing all the work to swap the strap around. That worked for me, and I ended up preferring to have my right hand free anyway. To switch the strap sides, you push/pull them completely off (the same way you adjust the length of the ends that get tucked away). Then quite literally switch them. At that point it's just a matter of adjusting how much strap is left on each end, the sliding the lock to set the right height you want it at. I think I'm about your size, at least width wise, and I leave 4 inches on each side so it ends up sitting slightly forward on my hip, like pseudo fanny pack that I can rest my arm on. To make it sit exactly on your side, like a messenger bag, the front would need to have less leftover strap at the end. So like 2" front, 4" back would do the trick for that. Good luck, have fun.
Love the videos! I must admit, I like bags too :) I just picked up the peak design v2 every day backpack 20L from B&H in person. If you've not been in person...don't go lol. It's unbelievable. Keep up the videos! I am now a subscriber. I will prob buy another bag (Peak, sling) soon. Would love more of what the differences are! Maybe a long term review? Those bags are expensive but the V1s are nearly half price right now. I agree with you tho, the shoulder strap is an issue bc I too would prefer to use it on my side a bit.
Also wanted to mention that I have been to the B&H several times and always try to go when I'm in NYC! One of those trips made it onto my vlog a few years ago... a wonderful tech nerd paradise! Cheers!
Great review. Finally found someone that talked about putting an iPad in the 6L. Really good insight.
Thanks for the note and glad I could help!

Adjust the left side shorter and right side longer at the end of the strap
I tried that and it won’t work. Not enough length.
Love Peak design. V2 looks sweet.
Yeah it’s got a nicer design. I like the opening in the previous one better tho!

What do you think of the manfrotto Chicago?
@@KendrickDischCreative ehhh I decided I don't like bags that open from the side. Same reason I don't like the peak design daily carry backpack 🎒

thank you for showing us the ~16oz water bottle! That was a deciding factor for me
Thanks for watching!
What size is your Hero Clip? Great demonstration of the 6L!
Hey there, sorry for the delay, my hero clip is the Medium size. Holds up to 60lbs. Thanks for watching and I hope that helps! Cheers!

Hi I have the Nikon coolpix p950, should i buy the 3L or the 6L?
it really depends on how much other stuff you want to carry too!
Thanks for the review, I appreciate it!

My question is are PD straps removable? It doesn't appear to be and perhaps if you could change out straps that might help.
Yes the strap can be totally removed on this bag. It really is limitation based more on the length of the strap and placement of the shoulder pad.
New sub - very much appreciate the time you took to make this video, very helpful!
Thanks for the sub and thanks for commenting!
I think I saw someone from Peak Design say that you could switch sides on the strap. Would that make a difference?

Thanks for taking the time to write this! I’ll give it a shot, but I do think I would like the adjustment mechanism on the front.
Does a 11 inch iPad fit in there? Thanks.
I ended up selling so I can't test for you.
I'm left-handed, can the shoulder strap be put on the other way round?.
s
yes it can! pretty easy to do it too...
Thanks it looks ideal for street shooting.

I like version 1 better.
I think I fall into that camp as well! I sold my V2 but kept the V1! Thanks for chiming in!
Not ykk
You’re right! Not sure why I got my facts wrong on that. Thanks for pointing it out! @8:51.
