Wanted Circle K Employee Caught For Car Fraud, Resists Arrest & Kicks Cops!

- On May 8th, 2023, officers in Ohio initiated an investigation into an improperly licensed blue Chevy Impala parked at a Circle K gas station. The license plate on the vehicle did not match the vehicle description, returning instead to a black 2014 Chevy Equinox. Additionally, the listed owner of the license plate had an active warrant. Upon further inspection, officers attempted to verify the vehicle identification number (VIN), which was partially obscured by paperwork inside the car. The female suspect inside the store, who initially identified herself as the owner of the disputed license plate, appeared concerned and was observed communicating via phone.
During the investigation, the woman, later correctly identified as Emya, reluctantly complied with the officers’ requests to verify the VIN. Checks revealed multiple active warrants for her arrest and an unregistered vehicle since 2021. As officers explained the situation, the suspect attempted to re-enter the store, disregarding multiple commands from the officers and hindering customers’ movement. Despite her resistance, including an attempt to bite an officer's arm, she was successfully detained and informed of her arrest for resisting arrest.
After several attempts to secure the suspect in the police vehicle, during which she resisted and obstructed the officers’ efforts, she was transported to jail. The female suspect was charged with Resisting Arrest, with additional charges pending for her outstanding warrants and vehicle-related offenses.

In this case, Emya, *HAD TO KNOW* that she had warrants and that the tags were on the wrong vehicle. I'm guessing an additional charge of resisting was added.
