I've always enjoyed John's music from Bombs Away Dream Babies. This song, "Lost Her in the Sun," "Runaway Fool of Love," and my own favorite "Midnight Wind" showed he had the rock chops to take us on a musical odyssey that can't be recaptured no matter how hard we try to go back.

DJDCV2, once again I'm reminded as to why I'm staying tuned to you. John Stewart's "Gold", w/the gilded talents of Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham was a record labels dream. The period in which the this came out was ripe for it, however, that said, it's sad to consider the unfriendly scape of "radio" for that to be encouraged today let alone be broadly accepted. This is why so many of us appreciate the times in which we had the luxury of growing up, tho now we have DJDCV2 to share and encourage our memories of the richness therein. Thank you.😆

John's follow up album (without Lindsey and Stevie who were probably immersed in Tusk) is also excellent. Either way, a great track on an excellent record!

It's my understanding that John's guitar is leaning against the door to Stevie's house on the back album cover (you can see it in this montage). Story is that RSO wanted John to write a top 40 song to head up this album...so he wrote GOLD on the way back from the studio, heading to Lindsey's house. LOTS of great John Stewart songs to explore.

Lindsay Buckingham also played on Rob Grills (the grass roots) album Uprooted the single was Rock Sugar it is a great song, never really got airplay though. Although it is huge in Greece. You should all check it out. Background vocals of are Annie mcloone many think she sounds like Stevie. Nicks. She sang back up for Stevie on some projects.
