Thank you ever so much for your hard work, your selfless dedication to thorough research. Your results: reflective + insulative batting and insect screen combo the best of all worlds and only after you've spent HOURS and HOURS doing different trials (zip from bottom up on screen makes the most sense, but who would have initially thought of that?). Wonderful...what positive contributors you two are.
I too used a thermal gun on my windows to determine the best insulation for my situation. I have reflectix between the window and my covers which are comprised of felt with air gap, but sewn together with heavy weight corduroy upholstery fabric
My favorite van people have comments ‘on’! You’re the BEST, thanks for what you do! For sewing tips and tricks, Sailrite is the way to go. I’m glad to see you agree. I subscribe to their channel also
When you mentioned proper installation of reflectix but didn't follow up on that, I went on my own tangent and still found confusion from different sources. I would love to see your video on proper installation since this one was VERY informative.
The usual great and informative video. Thank you. I've just realized that a $ 230 000 Ekko is delivered without standard window screens ! I must be wrong...
Because glass absorbs heat so it gets hot 🤔 ? Mind you it'll be even hotter with the screen fitted as it can't dissipate that heat to the cooler air inside the van, but then I guess that is the whole point of the screen, insulation
It rather refreshing to see somone who understands radiant heat and the need for an airgap 👍
Such a great R&D video!!! Thanks for sharing your findings with us.
James, when is Winnebago going to offer an Ekko with the Fit RV options.
Very clever! And far superior to what is commercially available. I hope you got a patent. Especially on your screen door that's not a screen door.
So jealous of your workspace!
You guys are the best!!

Brilliant overview! Thank you so much.

Absolutely ingenious mod, love it!!
You are “THE MAN”! Thanks for sharing
Great detail and explanation. I wished all RV windows had these options. Sewing is out of my league. My windows definitely need this mod.
Keep doing what you’re doing James & Steph. Many appreciate it as do I because I love learning things. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. 😊

Just watched your review on the View with cargo. I have to say your Echo just looks more homey and fully functional. Great shade analysis.
Thank you… that was really informative and great info… nicely done
Does the Sailrite sewing machine you displayed need any additional attachments, other than what it came with, to create the window coverings?
Wow. First time you have UA-cam comments on! 🎉❤
Very informative video! Thanks.

I wish you made custom window coverings that I could order for my Winnebago View!!! Great video and very helpful
great video

Where did you get that sewing machine and about how much do the run?
$1000+
Interesting.
Do you have another above the door to keep the cold and heat out as well???
woah
In very hot temps does the glue on the Velcro not give away?
Living in the desert southwest, we can confidently say it’s been holding great.
@@Thefitrv thanks
I love it. How can I support your design? I noticed you don’t have any in your store.
Woah, comments enabled. How is it 158° ?

@@Dirt-Diggler But it was in the shade too. 😂
👍🙏
157 Fahrenheit?? Where do you live, the sun??
The temperature accurately reflects the actual INSIDE of the RV window on a hot summer’s day.
