Im 70 yrs old. Ex USCG. Have just now discovered Drachinifel. Im addicted. Fascinating subjects with hysterical tibits of humor. The Tshushima Battle and detailed cruise of the Russian fleet was a thing of beauty. The crowning gem of that docum was the misfortunes of the Kamchatka. This is must see stuff here and I cant stop watching. Kudos Drachenifel. Keep it up.

It's funny when you finally get to see someone you've been listening to for so long. Normally they don't look anything like they sound, but in this case he does. He puts an enormous amount of effort into his channel and the series is well worth watching for the breadth of knowledge.

The reason why I like both the Chieftain and Drachinfel is that they don't just talk about the "what" but the "why" of a tank or a ship. You can't understand history if you don't know the reason nations make decisions!

To explain about C&Rsenal not knowing about "free time," C&Rsenal make videos about historical guns that explore the history and development process of those guns in great detail. Their videos can go up to almost two hours in length and are rarely under one hour.
Love how Drach _under_ estimates the length of his videos all the time lol. "About 5 minutes or maybe even up to around 7 or 8 minutes on the weekend." Meanwhile pumping out 15-40 minute videos all the time lol.
Yeah nothing more true but well let's be honest... we are ALL so thrilled when we see 5 minutes... and youtube is writting : 48 minutes video! We grab something to eat, to drink, say to everyone in the house : Not available for one hour, got a work call! and seat to watch another jewel of UA-cam!
I love this guy! I’ve seen a whole bunch of his videos. His videos combined with the Battle of Midway from the Japanese Perspective (now there is an American Perspective as well) have really gotten me interested in Naval history. I love this guy.

This man is a brilliant HISTORIAN, and he hits my sweet spot of naval history so I have become addicted to his videos. I'm 71 and well read on his subjects and have yet to even question or debate his content. I'm half way through his talk on the Battle of Jutland which is done in magnificent detail. Well done Drach!!

My 2 fav military history utubers, spent far to long being educated n entertained by both and thoroughly enjoyed it, each knows their stuff, explains it beautifully in their own quirky ways and puts up plenty of photo's n vid's to show us. I love getting to see around the tanks n other military vehicles and naval stuff, it's all such a treat. Just very grateful that these guys do what they do and I get to enjoy it. Wasn't that long ago that none of this was possible but now generations will get to see n hear from these guys which makes me smile.

I've started watching Drachinifel's channel a few months ago. Excellent is an understatement. Since then I've visited the USS New Jersey about 5 times and the USS Olympia twice. Much respect coming from an old tanker

I remember the first Drachinifel video I watched, one of the "5 minute guide to war ships of WW1/WW2." It was a 34 minute video about the change from sail to steam.
Drachinifel is a genius. He knows so much about naval history I really wonder why he was not made university professor immediately. But he probably gets more recognition and makes more money with the UA-cam Channel.

Taiwan has an Aegis-capable LST with a Mk41 VLS and a Missile launcher on the stern. Might be an interesting oddball ship.
