Top Secret is awesome. They have Team work. The whole idea is to be 1 Drum 1 sound. Best drum corp. if they can compete with the HRM Royal Marines they can beat anybody. That was an awesome video too. Cheers.
To Osukmunkyo. These people are extremely talented. Regarding the roll, if you listen carefully, they stopped the roll just before becoming closed, then opened it out again and slowed down. This is difficult enough for a solo drummer, let alone a large team like this. Just enjoy, and dont criticise. I have been playing the snare for over 50 years and would give anything to be included in this team for one performance. Take care. Brian NZ
In my opinion, I like the location. You can see all of it and see what they're doing, where as other videos I have seen it zooms in/out a lot and you miss a lot of the cool stuff they do.
I agree, for sound, not the best venue.I don't know about everybody else, but one of the main reasons i watch is for the visual effect and not necessarily the sound.
It was fun, nice to be close to the performance so yes, you can see the cool stick work. But, in terms of sound, not the best venue. Ceiling was very low so everything was very loud, including the audience. It was also very crowded. Good pints, good friends.
Funny how when one person hates on the video that a lot of other people like every body decides hey lets all go take the worlds largest dump on that person. And I agree with the hater haters on this one this is fucking amazing
They are not flawless, they make mistakes, yes. Their goal is to perform to entertain, and that's all I care about. I enjoy the militaristic style and precision drumming with a little humor thrown in and Top Secret provides that.
@Misterate dude you can judge how they play as an indvidual because of what they sound like as a line. also with the way the drums are tuned this is as clean as its going to get and as you can see they are not getting any boos from the crowd. also its not like they were trying to impress a judge or anything.
what is the big deal about the part at 3:32 ?? i can tell exactly what they are doing just by looking/listening to it. my line plays a bunch of segments of this in a cadence.
They are only humans, they are not flawless. It did not affect their performance at all... anyway, in my opinion it is pretty awesome that they plat this well, and they are not even professionals. They are common folk, bankers, shopkeepers, artisans, normal people like us, and yet they do this well. I wish I lived near them so I could join their ranks..
if top secret is ranked second in the world who is ranked first??...i would love to see and who can but these guys into second place...they are the tops for me
Maybe it's cause they are playing too fast for your puny mind to realize? These guys are accepted as the best drumline in the world. They are the best.
Cadevaliers is short for Cadets, Devils, and Cavaliers. I will admit that the people that put these guys up as the best are worthy of ridicule, but sometimes that spills over into criticism of a fine drumming ensemble. For their purpose (entertainment) I think TS is an excellent group. I am pretty sure if these guys did rudimental drumming for a career they would be astounding.
@Misterate are u serious. u really are going to dis on this. This is like one of the greatest lines every. the snares are very good. the basses have great splits, this was awesome, and u shouldn't dis
@b42baritone dude blue devils doesnt even do stuff like this. these guys could drum circles around blue devils. especially with those crappy drums the devils are using now. also this is as clean as this show is going to get because of the tuning of the drums. they are not as tight thus giving more of a traditional snare sound
I cannot understand why people bag on these cats for not being as precise as the Cadevaliers. Of course they are not. These guys have lives outside of drumming. They are not practicing the same 8 minutes of actual drumming 12 hours a day for an entire summer. Given the amount of time they rehearse, and the book they are playing, TS is very good. Believe it or not rudimental drumming actually exists outside the US.
TOP SECRET has to be the world's best drum lines ever. Stunning performances.
I love these guys -- the perfect blend of old and new.
These guys are unbelievably amazing! Enjoyed watching the clip many times!
THIS IS LIKE TOTALY AWESOME!!!!!
these gys are so talented they jus give me goose bumps. i love it
Thats one of my favorite compositions of the top secret drum crops ❤

Im a bass player and I love these guys :)
It was in Scotland, Lord Todd Bar, Drumming for Drinks. TSDC was performing at the Edinburgh Tattoo, special guests of D for D organizers.
Top Secret is awesome. They have Team work. The whole idea is to be 1 Drum 1 sound. Best drum corp. if they can compete with the HRM Royal Marines they can beat anybody. That was an awesome video too. Cheers.
Regardless of location on the globe, how can you not like that? XLNT
i ve seen so many bands mills.

They were in their prime back in '09.
FANTASTIC !!! :-)))
Perfect and Precise like a swiss clockwork!
All have to say is... AMAZING!!!
These guys are not even professionals. Bankers and craftsmen is what they are in real life. Totally amazing.
sometimes they just sound like a train passing by it's amazing
salute for the man who dropped his stick but continued on!!!
omfg these guys are awesome
probably the best ive seen.
individually the music might not necesaily be crazy hard...but its the fact that they can all do it precicley together that makes them fantastic.
These guys were on fire! Great job.
(Yeah, I had to go there, someone had to, lol.)
When they set their drumsticks on fire I went to tears
if these fellas drink like they play...it's my shout boyos!!!!

he's the man
Drumming for Drinks 2009, Lord Todd Bar, Strathclyde Uni, Glasgow
Amazing
I agree, for sound, not the best venue.I don't know about everybody else, but one of the main reasons i watch is for the visual effect and not necessarily the sound.
Unreal !
Yes.

2:16 pure epicness
great
@ceimo856 Yeah but my comment was directed in reference to the precision that they executed the solo more than the actual piece itself
Funny how when one person hates on the video that a lot of other people like every body decides hey lets all go take the worlds largest dump on that person. And I agree with the hater haters on this one this is fucking amazing
Génial .....

brilliant :)
when u cant tell which hands belong to who... u know ur a good snare line!!!!
WOW !
i saw this live :o i was afraid they were going to burn down the bar :p
lol 4:33 when they do a round of triplets and the last guy on the screen does it but the one u can't see does one and its
like o.O whaaat
so FUCKING RAW!
I've watched this countless times but I still wonder how many drinks they got...
Go boys BURN DOWN THAT BAR!!!! :D
someone should transcribe this!
Sounds like one drum- way to go!
I play bass guitar... and I'm the center snare at my high school...
everytime i see them drumming with the flaming sticks all i can think it "i wanna see that drum head so bad! lol
i'm surprised i never saw a metal drummer set his sticks on fire before starting a show-off drum solo!!
@dryfish1 Its fun for being Europe based, but compared to American Drum Corps lines, not even close. But they are fun to watch.
@Misterate dude you can judge how they play as an indvidual because of what they sound like as a line. also with the way the drums are tuned this is as clean as its going to get and as you can see they are not getting any boos from the crowd. also its not like they were trying to impress a judge or anything.
@abcernusa Especially since they are Swiss!
what is the big deal about the part at 3:32 ?? i can tell exactly what they are doing just by looking/listening to it. my line plays a bunch of segments of this in a cadence.

grandioos
Wanna hear the cleanest roll you'll ever experience in your entire percussive career? 1:21
if top secret is ranked second in the world who is ranked first??...i would love to see and who can but these guys into second place...they are the tops for me
Its fun for being Europe based, but compared to American to American Drum Corps lines, not even close. But they are fun to watch.
what drumming skills hi aish i could do that!!!!!!
We should have something like this to rep the US . *** But with tenners ****
Alcohol + flaming drum sticks = one awesome fire hazard.
Bankers and craftsman? What is this, the 13th century?
@Misterate Honestly. I wanna see you and your line play like this.....if you hate, prove your better...
Maybe it's cause they are playing too fast for your puny mind to realize? These guys are accepted as the best drumline in the world. They are the best.
Bring em to America and lets see if they re the best, the honda battle of the bands would be a good test!!!!!!
Hát igen ez a tudás ! Ezt már nem lehet überelni.

In retrospect, they play in such cavernous places it's hard to sound like anything...
@poopmcdoopdoop Will?
3:50 JIM KILPATRICK! :o
2:23, who dared to drop their stick during a performance my high school band director would have had the their heads
At 2:22, one of them drops their stick and immediately pulls out another and stays on cadence. Pros.
I like how the dude on the left is absolutely still, but the others are all keeping time by fake stepping.
@b42baritone dude blue devils doesnt even do stuff like this. these guys could drum circles around blue devils. especially with those crappy drums the devils are using now. also this is as clean as this show is going to get because of the tuning of the drums. they are not as tight thus giving more of a traditional snare sound

0:57
Thats even cleaner than i can play singles!!!!!
@Mirage63 just like normal Swedish hahaha
They have stick pouches I wish I did I drop 2 during my first parade
Nice accl. at 1:47
un orologio ha perso una lancetta.
wana learn the part at 3:32
@dryfish1 Sorry, any line I've played in doesn't play like garbage.
Love the drumming! HATE the stick fighting!!!!!
ok i have watch many top secret vids and i love them but the guy who drop the drum stick must be new bc he wasnt moving his legs either....
they sound great when they're not moving...
but watch them at the Edinburgh tattoo
they have always more than one pair of sticks with them. Its hidden in a pocket on the side of the drum. I know this Group!
Its in plain view...... Its called a stick bag......
some of them are marking time and some of them aren't... taking steps
Two guys you can't see. They are twelve in the front line.
we I get married I like them there just to play
the bagpipes in the background make the part at 1:24 even more bad ass
@@tyshia0426 ?
Five dislikes? Huh...must be bass guitar players! :)
