There's something about the CMX I'm coming round to liking.
This dude has no idea what he's talking about. My CB1100 EX pulls really well in 5th and 6th gear especially when it was run in. I also got mine new for £9000 from a Honda dealer
The wire wheels on the cheaper 1100 look better than the ones on the more expensive bike..
Honda Rebel CMX500 is a great sensible motorbike especially for the shorter rider.
And of course Honda reliability and quality.
36k miles in under 2 1/2 years, it still feels new.
U pay for quality, honda bikes are reliable, engines and transmissions are smooth and bullet proof, Had a cbr1000 and looking forward to get t cb 1100, drive a honda , u wont drive another bike after that
agreed. I own a Kawasaki Vulcan S and ride it in a milage 40, 000km. Japanese bikes are all reliable and precision made for smooth ride and performance.
Like the tester. More stuff from him please :)
Great, funny review without being corny. Review could have been three times the length, considering you are reviewing three bikes. I love the looks of the CB1100 and have seen it in real life on the street. Very handsome. In the end, the price put me off and I plumped with the XSR900 which, produces more hp.
Me too. Really wanted to love the new XJR1300 but they ruined it with the small tank and styling. And I'm not old enough for a BMW...
I once had a trifle where the sponge was in the custard very rebellious.
Sounds painful hope you got it out
I own a cb1100Rs for a year now, and this review is not accurate at all in my opinion. The cb1100 engine pulls strongly in ANY gear, includind the very tall 6th speed. It s got only 90hp but it has plenty of torque. And the ride and radial brakes are sublime for it s size.
I feel you brother.... What are they comparing the bike to... 🥸
Anybody know what model Arai it is that Simon's wearing?
1100 RS ALL THE WAY. Why did they BOTCHED the cam timing ? Typical Honda B.S reasons, messing with perfection, for the sake of messing. Excellent review, very relaxed, very laid back presentation and script.
If you're 60 and you ride a motorcycle, yeah, you a rebel.
I'm seventy one years old and ride aSuzuki SV650. I think I can handle a Rebel
@@clivew8546 74 if you're still around.
What helmet and gloves are those? Awesome colors
VVoltz the gloves look like a (older?) variation of the Alpinestars GPX or Celer. Both are great gloves.
"...assuming you care...", hahaha, pricking, Si.
Just so ya know, the Honda Rebel is THE choice of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation in the US. You rarely see them on the street.
Maybe that’ll change with the increased cc... but I think it’s legacy as a beginner bike will end up hindering it.
I want to like the cb1100...it looks nice. But for the price and much better competition - how on earth could you fathom buying one?
Have noticed them already priced $2K less than msrp, putting it between street twin and T120 price. For me, I would consider this if I really want a big air cooled engine, and want premium dual disc brakes up front. Triumph has done single discs unless you get the T120. This bike can be had for less than the T120 and is true air cooled. Personally, I would be looking for a 2013 or 2014 CB1100 with ABS instead, because it's really similar and could be had for 40% off msrp.
I agree, a cool bike but for that kind of money there are more tempting offerings.
But if you were in India with the rebel and it was up against their offerings it would possibly shine, whether you are cynical or not I guess. It is just too small.
Iski price Kay ha
It's not the first time the Rebel has been available in the UK whatsoever. Do more research.
Next time stop the lame music when gunning the engine so we can hear it.
The guy doesn't understand the Heritage and objective of the rebels over the decades.
Thank you for taking the hit for-us by trying the new 1100, so-we don't have to. What a disappointment even if you're just looking for a sensible comfy fun bike. I'll take the original thanks.
Oh Honda...the new Harley...even Harley dropped the 1100..Someone should tell Honda Harley is failing....they also have no market to capitalize on... You broke the 500cc a piston rule...also pumped a bunch of tech...that really doesn't like bumps and syht....Honda cheap reliable repairable...the peoples bike...Now this shyt..No one can afford to ride as it is and the younger generation has no interest...I guess plenty of rich riders....fukuhondadavidson..yeah
Rebel? Give me a break. How about Mr Softy.
Crap review!
No need for presentation
These are made by Honda ....
Horrible review
