I watched because I learned to ride on my friend's '04 Rebel. I've never owned a Rebel, and I never will. But it holds a place in my heart. Just not as big a place as my 1100 Shadow.
Where Honda cut corners on this bike, I understand why they did. I also understand where they choose to come with the goods and give the bike some guts and swagger. I think the new Rebel is ultimately redeemed by the blank slate approach Honda took. Anyone keen to mod or tweak the Rebel's style or performance will find a veritable motorcycle hobby kit of easy options to make the bike their own in ride and curb appeal. And at the price point, I think Honda nailed it. This is, after all, the company that brought us the Cub.
I just recently bought a Rebel 500 and I have to say the number of aftermarket parts is pretty limited for it. Especially seeing that they market this as blank canvas. Overall enjoy the bike and it’s look

Had the 500 for almost 2 years now, absolutely adore the thing. My second bike after a cbr 250, it's awesome. Mostly do city and freeway riding but have also used it a bunch for small touring trips for camping in Australia. Starts to hurt after a little while but it'll get you there quickly having a blast. Honestly will probably be my forever bike (or at least another 10 + years)

I thought this was a harsh review for the Rebel. To be honest, I think Americans are too use to their Harley Davidsons which in my opinion don’t handle or corner well. They’re just big heavy lumps of decorated iron on 2 wheels built for going in a straight line down Route 66. Japanese bikes in my opinion are far more reliable as well. Only my opinion, don’t kill me.
These were made to compete against Harley's sporsters bikes. Japanese cruisers are not going to be any more reliable than Harley Davidson's evolution engine found in their sportsters.

Don't like the bike though,,,,,,pointless really, even for beginners.

I tried to buy a rebel 500 when they first came out. But my credit wasn’t where it should’ve been I was just getting started in life. Three years later I’m still wanting this bike so I’m going to pay cash for it next week. Really looking forward to riding it. This review was awesome it just makes me even more excited to finally get my bike. I’m getting the 500
I really appreciate these reviews. Funny and enjoyable, yet gets down to the serious points that need to be made. I’ve been interested in the Indian scout for quite some time and I’ve seen many many reviews on it but the only high quality ones that I’ve seen, I feel that the people behind the review seem a little bit payed off. If I were to see a single review from FortNine; however, then I would have no doubts on whether or not it would be a worthy bike to start on. I would also like to know if it would be worthy to keep further into my experience.
I have been watching Fort Nine videos for a while, and the warriors reference in this one got me to subscribe. Good job guys. Elegant production to get me that classic warriors feel. Made my morning, and yeah I can dig it.

I hope that over the last five years your career has continued to develop in a way that reflects what I’ve just said. Bless you & your team 🙏
As other's have mentioned in pretty much all of your videos: just outstanding production quality, well thought and honest analysis, great narrator and presenter. A joy to watch and listen. This is without a doubt the best motorcycle channel on youtube. I am so SICK of some dude strapping a go-pro to his helmet and "going for ride while I give you guys my thoughts". It's so sad that some of those videos, which took literally the time duration of the ride to make, have more views than Fortnine.

chris ordanez I thought I was the only one to get that.
3/4 of the people here had no clue what the clinging bottles meant...LOL))))
So it wasn't just me?!
Warrrrrriiiiooorrrsss come out and plllaaayyyeeeaaaaa!!!!
One of my fav movies
swear to God, more videos like this in a week and I'll stop watching TV forever, except, of course for live sports :-), this has gone beyond simple reviews now, it's the art of storytelling, it's curatorial, the graphics are topnotch, the cinematics rival hollywood, not many would attempt a bike review in the night and that too in natural light, AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Don't like the bike though,,,,,,pointless really, even for beginners.

Live sports are ass
You fort nine guys make the greatest videos!
music, cinematography, dialog, everything!!
keep the good work up you wonderful canadians!
Some of the best video quality I've seen.
Im 15, own a Kawi kz550 with 60,000 miles that I bought for $250, have $562 in the bank account and have been watching every motorcycle review you guys have put out numerous amounts of times shortlisting bikes as if I could actually afford them lmfao, but I keep comjng back so great work I feel like I should have to pay to watch these reviews 👍👍👍
Loved the “the warriors” references
I love the clinking bottles reference to Warriors :)
"Come out, come out, wherever you are"
the warriors
And the font
Come out to plaaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeee!!
And the ending phrase!
This is the best reviewing channel in UA-cam.
THANK YOU for being a critical motorcycle channel. Too many channels jerk off to every bike they see when we actually need some criticism in the motorcycle industry so people know what is good and what needs improving
Absolutely loved The Warriors theme in this video
Excellent video Ryan! Absolutely loved the cinematics. Definitely stepped it up with this video.
Thanks we have a really good dedicated team here! ~TeamF9
"Can you dig it?"
Big Bang Duke that reference tho
I absolutely don't get it! Can you guys help me out? :D
"That's him he shot em, they shot Cyrus the warriors did it!" Bam elbow to the mouth.
@@TheOcco99 Watch a movie called, "The Warriors"
Geez, these guys make awesome review!! I can picture myself living with this bike and the way they personified the bike created emotional bonding with me.
it's amazing to see how the production value improved by leaps and bounds since this video, now matching and much more perfectly complementing the consistent quality in writing and delivery.
Great job!
When I was a kid, I really liked the Honda Rebel. It had the stripped down chopper/bobber style. Only problem is, I grew up to over 300lbs.
Ryan, what jacket are you wearing in this review? Looks good.
Also, you guys are the HardwareCanucks of motorcycles, the lighting and composition of this video was magical, kudos.
Gerald L gear is always in description
I hope your channel becomes the number 1 motorcycle channel on youtube.
you deserve it.
What a piece of art for a nice bike, well done.
The cinematography 🔥
Fortnine is the only motorcycle channel that is not a sellout
Knocked it out of the park.....again....
This is the most enjoyable review I have ever seen on anything. Great piece of work
The Warriors is one of my favorite movies of all time. Love this video. haha
It's not ONE OF my fave movies, it is literally my favourite movie. I watched it when it first came out and I still watch it occasionally even now, all my kids and grandkids have been MADE to watch it, though they were all grateful afterwards! Come out to play!
Good catch. Loved the beer bottles... The movie.. And the bike!
Watching a FortNine review doesn't really feel like a motorcycle review. If feels like art. Kudos to you guys!
Had my 300 for two years and dropping in the 500 motor was literally plug and play this year I’m going to taking it on my second cross country trip see y’all in a month or so
Love "The Warriors" throwback. Need to go watch that again haha. Great video!
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that.
Yup. I played that game on the ps2. 😁
I really appreciated the effort you guys put into making the video, great work, you are now my favorite bike person!
The music, the bottle sounds, the dj at the end, nailed the entire Warriors.
Watching this review so many years later and am still in awe. Makes me want to ride. Thanks so much
I tried to buy a rebel 500 when they first came out.
Hey Josef - we might be in luck! I've been trying to get my hands on a Scout for a while now, and it looks like it will happen this year :) ~RF9
Any plans to review the 2020 version? Some great upgrades and I love the style of your videos, would love your take on it
Or the 2021 1100....
What great upgrades ?
I had a rebel 500 for my first bike. Fantastic starter bike but that's about it. You end up wanting either more comfort, more power, or both.
I still watch old FortNine videos just for the heck of it, so nice to watch these lovely reviews :')
I have been watching Fort Nine videos for a while, and the warriors reference in this one got me to subscribe. Good job guys. Elegant production to get me that classic warriors feel. Made my morning, and yeah I can dig it.
I'd love to see you re-review this.
I dig the max payne art direction, but it was just a little too dark here and there to see what you were describing.
This was a homage to the "Warriors"
LOL Max Payne, nice try kid. Look up "The Warriors".
I thought I was watching a movie
(I’m watching this old video because I’m looking to buy a second-hand Rebel just now) I just want to say that this review isn’t just a good one, it’s a work of art. Beautifully produced throughout! I hope that over the last five years your career has continued to develop in a way that reflects what I’ve just said. Bless you & your team 🙏
friend of mine got a 2023 recently and loves it. he’s about 6’1 and so far only talked good about it
Great review. Love "The Warriors" references! I just watched the movie this past weekend for the first time!
I love "The Warriors" style editing. Keep it up! Your work is much appreciated!
great review. Just bought a 2018 rebel
Thanks for this video. I'm spending the transition from 2020 to 2021 in Viet Nam and pondering the Rebel 500. Your video and homage to The Warriors helped me make the decision.
Honda Rebel may not be a rebel, but its perfect for a beginner looking for a cause.
I do dig it but I think I'm really going to dig it even more when you review and feature the new Rebel 1100.
This video truly deserves my like and subscribe
Your bike review vids are by far the most artsy of all other bike review vids! Thanks for your creative vids.
The music in these is so good.
Still waiting... Will Ryan get around to reviewing a Honda Rebel 1100 sometime soon? It's 2022, and the bike has been out for the 2nd year since introduction in 2021.
I'll definitely be interested to see your review of the new Rebel 1100. My friend is thinking of buying one.
I love "The Warriors" twist. one of my fav movies
The thing i love ryans reviews for is that they all have such charakter its just fantastic
always loved the high-quality content of fortnine, one of the best motorcycle content creators on the internet
