Talk about a perfect day and conditions (for ocklawaha) that was it. Congratulations!! that river and reservoir is so beautiful but just as equally sketchy. Can’t believe you went by yourself out there! What about a ride during the draw down? It’s on my bucket list. If I can catch the draw down dates! Usually winter months every 3 or 4 years from what I have heard.

I am pretty used to doing big rides or rides that have some risk solo... whether I did them on a motorcycle, a bike, or in the mountains hiking and climbing... I find it adds a bit of the unknown to the task at hand. now that being said, I always plan and prepare for these type of trips... Would a jet ski be the right vessel during a draw down? I know it would be epic...!!!! chances are we would lose our hulls! hahahahhahaha Thanks for watching and commenting! Bob

What a beautiful ride, such flat water and so quiet, and a beautiful area. Those stumps that just come out of the surface are dangerous, if you sail over them fast, even GatorGlide doesn't help. Bob, I would like to thank you for the tip about the Relive app. I have done two test rides and will soon provide the UA-cam video of the upcoming classic car ride with it for the club. Thanks again.

Thats a beautiful ride, I like riding early in the morning when the sun has just come up kinda like you did in the 4:25 minutes section just a relaxing calm ride on smooth water. Being out on the water by yourself is a good time to think about your worries in life and just let all the worries float away while in a peaceful place. 🤙

Yes I enjoy being out on the water as the sun rises... best time for making videos as well...not the best time to invite your friends to join you however.... :-) Thanks for watching! Bob

The day looked just perfect to finally make it through. Nice weather, glass / mirror like water, no boat traffic, no stump collisions. Hard to believe somebody would go through the planning and expense of building the lock just to abort it. We've had some large building projects go the same way up here where land was purchased and cleared for big buildings then just never finished. Thanks for sharing!

Enjoy your trip home! If you watch this series of videos in order you get some of the history of the "Cross Florida Barge Canal" a project abandoned in the late 1960's. It did leave us with a cross Florida Greenway for hiking and recreation however! ua-cam.com/play/PL8VYlIGPd2OS7G7prIAFZz8-8EBDzesng.html

Were you out there yesterday with 5-6 others on the side of dam? It's so aggravating for people on boats trying to fish with the back and forth without discard of others. Why not just go out to st.johns river when going 60pmh or high speed. Also, the manatees with babies out feeding. Rodman is known for world record fishing that you screw all of us with these stupid high speeding rides. Thanks for the beautiful peacefulness that we try having on our days off work!!
