Put the surf and rail adapter on the meepo flow or it also works with the hurricane. I find this combination with the dkp trucks makes super buttery carves and actually gets rid of oscillation so no more speed wobbles with dkp. Would be worth a video.
A dkp AND waterborne surf adapter?! That seems like a crazy combination

I dont have electronic skateboards but I do have both surfskate with surf simulator trucks such as YOW meraki system and also similar to Spice Skate AND I also have DKP trucks on a cruiser. I think that they are very different systems and it really depends on what your goal is. Surfskates with very responsive systems are for simulating surf manoeuvres on flat land, and I think DKP trucks are more for cruising or just simply carving slopes, but the surf movements are more limited.
Couldn’t agree more, this really wasn’t a scientific test haha but more just for fun! Surf adapters are way more snappy than dkp

hahaha awesome amigo xD!! WAH-PAHHHH!!! But the thing is, with esk8 you go way faster than normal surfskating. So I think the Flow performs better (more stable) at more 'normal' esk8 speeds, no? And with some orange caguama wheels on the Flow, it will be a super fun beast. Like I mentioned before, they JUST NEED TO REPLACE the stupid foam pad 😢 xD great video amigo !!!
Yeah, the rubber pad would definitely be better, easily replaceable on the consumer’s end though!
@@DrewElia true. But not for every consumer. For me yes. But when you buy a ready to run product, you expect not to do some DIY'ing. But for me not a big problem. But I just don't understand why they went that way. Surf pads are like $20-30 (it's their price raise for the Flow) 🤣. I'm just sceptical. But psyched finally some DKP from the 'china' brands coming out 🔥🔥

I saw a video on the Waterborne site where they installed the Waterborne adapter on what looks like the Evolve Stoke. Any chance of installing of Waterborne on the Meepo Flow and seeing a review?
I could try it out and see what it feels like, but the carve feel on the flow is already really nice and has a great movement already
If you are taking requests I'd also love to see a front light system worthy of a board that can do the speeds we do. I spend a $120 AUD plus on shredlights and really disappointed as they sit so low that cracks in the path block the light so I mounted one on top and one on bottom but the light spread is terrible. Got a Ali expess lightbar (off bondage) and it's great but can't find anyway to mount it that is nice and easy to put on and remove quickly. Night rides along the boulevard are so nice with hardly any people so I do it quite a bit. Just bummed out at light options. Thoughts anyone?
I mount my shred lights up top and have no issue with lighting. I’ve actually done a video on it on my channel showing the light spread from the drone top down check it out
I went back and watched it, I tried doing the same as you did but the board (short) has concave that sends the light too high as there is no vertical adjustment (also I am riding in a lot darker areas) So had to pack the back with heaps of washers and was just messy. Thanks for the reference though. I am awaiting a waterborne fin and adapter so will probably work something out. Cheers.
Its obvious waterborne is much better.
And Meepo needs to put 10" trucks on...
The 13" total width makes it turn like a 18 wheeler....WIDE

Nice man. Love a waterborne setup... WB has the advantage at speed and DKP has an advantage of not being as tall. WB is also amazingly fun on a non electric.
Agree!!! I actually want to take it off the electric board and slap it on my manual board to get some sweet slides on my skate wheels!
Is stuuupid, stupid carvy good? Would like to see each board compared with and without the Waterborne.
They would all perform the same as the waterborne adapter haha. You’re swapping the trucks out tot he new system so no matter what you put it on you’re going to get the same result in the waterborne.
@@DrewElia Thanks Drew. I've never had an esk8 but I do have the Waterborne system on one of my cruiser skateboards with a 22" axel to axel wheelbase. Is the Mini 5 with the Waterborne as stable as the stock Meepo Flow? Do you know the axle to axle wheelbase length on the Mini 5 with the Waterborne? I want to esk8 at slow speed and surf carve these days (I'm really old). I've had lots of longboards over the years, now I would like to build a great surf-esk8 and I'm not finding much info out there. Your insights would be helpful, thanks.
