@@ndyaarthurmartha8748 Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, and Burgas are best cityes (that's my opinion) so if you are interested you can check them third.
KoMyHuCT already said about Tarnovo, Gabrovo is just 51 kilometers away there's a building called ,,The home of the humor and satire'' so this is the city of the humor, and like only 20 away from the city in the Mountain is another building called ,,Shipka'' i am too lazy to type the story so you can learn it yourslef :) there's a big and beautiful view.
Burgas is to the see and it's a big city it's and more but all i know about this city is what i said it is :D. There's a lot of citys for explore just those three are my personal favourite and i I suggest you too go there if you like, when you can and enjoy your excursion when you can again!

Interesting video! It makes me happy how open minded you are. Those markets are not dangerous, I think people use the wrong word when they say dangerous.
Yes there are pickpocketers but this is the same in many big cities in Europe and other parts of the world outside US and Canada. It's nothing really dangerous just something annoying you have to be mindful about.
As a Bulgarian living in Canada, the low prices and variety of great food is one of the things we always talk about and look forward to when we go back home 😍😍
I wish I was there with you to translate so you can try more of each food you cannot understand in Cyrillic. The good thing is most young people speak English and the restaurants should have English menus.
Ps. You have to try: 'Banitsa' with fetta cheese and Ayran drink with it. They are everywhere in the small filo pastry bakeries!!

But no one know about it. I mean foreigners. Obviously the locals grow up with this. For them to have 2000 years old church next door is normal.

@@matollsen2523 100% true! But bulgarian politicians were always too stupid with just a few exclusions. What the soldiers are won - that the politicians are lost. Unlike italians...
If you want to learn somehow bulgarian history (recent country) you must learn the history of entire Balkans last 2000 years. Too many wars and fights between different tribes and nations and their unions. The religion and bulgarian alphabet (cyrillic is the name given from ottomans trying to smash the culture) are just consequence... + several former bulgarian countries in other places still remind the presence of bulgarian tribes - too many specific names of areas, rivers and peoples can be clarly recognized. Some culture traditions can be found in another nations and communitys with mostly bulgarian origin (like romanians and latest "macedonians"). And so on.. Many very interesting interactions with another nations, tribes, countries in Europe and Asia...
