A chance to really hear Raj Patel's ideas on the way forward, for all who know that to share the Earth's resources is the way. I particularly picked up on his words ' I am a pessimist of Intellect, and an optimist of Will' The long rut of intellect will inform us to carry on as before with what we know - whilst the power of united loving and determined Will to change that which is long overdue, is the instrument of power on that very path. For this we have waited.
Our world is in panic. Our populations are too high, our food supplies are too low - that is a problem that is becoming worse. Time will draw the food per person into a worse place as the population grows and food supplies dwindle. The Bible says there will be worldwide famine, and our efforts to fend off climate change on the whole will fail. Wisdom would tell us to do what the Bible says we should to personally avoid this future by going in the Rapture, and holding strong for others(no mark)
