Hey bud i basically have the same boat and have the horrific smell what i did was replace toilet gaskets duckbills pressure switch on the pump and added the vent filter. What did u do to have the smell go away
In the end the only thing that has semi worked is putting that stuff forgot what it’s called regularly in the tank and toilet combined with vacuuming out the vent hose to keep it clear from debris. I cannot reach the end of the vent from inside the engine room unfortunately
@@joeybuscemi7793 I did not replace any of the hoses since what I understand is that if the hoses were bad you’d always smell it. But we only have the bad smell when we flush hence the thought is a venting problem.
@eternitysshore yea same here only when I flush. I added the filter no change the smell is coming from engine compartment that leads to the cabin. I'm goin for replacing the hose this weekend
Not fun. I did my duckbills...and my friend advised...if you are going in to "hell"...you might as well do it all.....the bellows under the pump in the black bowl...can be cracked thus not emptying completely into the sealed tank. Also, your boat may have an inline filter that needs to be replaced. Good Luck!
Thanks Captain Jeff for doing all the grunt work for us!
There was definitely a lot of grunting going on!!
Wow!! That's a project!
Good job..
Cheers
Indeed. Unfortunately it didn’t solve the odor issue but at least we ruled it out.
You are a brave soul to be doing that! Much respect!
It’s kind of strange but after a while you get used to the smell which is not a good thing.
You could also try a Big Orange waste tank vent filter. We had the outhouse smell after each flush until we installed it.
Yes!! I saw that on another UA-cam channel and might do it. I wish I knew 100% that it was that versus the hose

I have replaced the duckbills twice but that didn’t help. I’ve not added a vent filter but considered it. What is the pressure switch on the pump?

The pressure switch is on top of the pump we're the wires are when u take the cap off . So u didn't replace the hose from pump to tank

Thanks for the tips. I know there is no inline filter.
I’ll also add that most of the smell is coming from the engine room which makes me think either hose or vent.
