Before viewing your video I watched 2 videos on installing Octoprint on an old mini PC and the results were disastrous..YOUR video is the ONLY one that allowed me to finally install Octoprint on that little computer. You Sir, are AMAZING! thank you!. Now I have to learn how to setup a camera and connect Cura to it...Thank you again and I subscribed to your channel. keep up the gret work Leo!
This is awesome. I'm on day 2 of my first 3D printer (Ender 3 v2 Neo) and all this time I mistakenly thought that I needed a Raspberry Pi to do what Octaprint does. Awesome! Thank you so much!
Great video. Seen others but this one is straight forward. Thank you. I do have a question. How do I find out my AXES for my Ender 5 Plus? I set mine like your for now until I find my settings or if you can help. Thank you again!
Thank you for your feedback! You can use the M503 command inside octoprint terminal to get the specs for your machine. Also, you can look at Ender communities in Facebook and ask for help there. Another option, you can take a look at the settings from the slicer profile for your printer. Hope this helps👍
Great tutorial, only problem is I got stuck right after the installation succeeded. Could not start the web interface. The Octoprint service was not running and I could find no way to start it. I gave up and used Printrun instead for what I needed to do.
@@LeoTechLab Oh, in Device manager instead of showing up in COM and LPT is shows up in Other devices as USB Serial and it has an exclamation mark next to it. And when it's like that it doesn't connect to octoprint
What is the reported problem by the USB serial device? It could be a driver issue, maybe... Is this the first time you're trying to connect your printer to this PC?
@@LeoTechLab also of note, I tried installing into C:\Program Files (x86) and could not get it work, uninstalling and reinstalling into the default c:/ rectified the issue and everything works now.
im from pakistan my printer brand name is xvico v3s model this printer is tft touch screen is broken i han"t idea so somone person ask me use octo print so i watch then i try but i no idea i success or notbut i try

My printer is connecting as USB Serial instead of a COM port, do you know how to fix this?
COM ports are serial interfaces. USB serial interfaces are also represented by COM ports in windows. I don't understand what the problem is...

the latest installer includes choosing your IP address so thats not longer manual.
