Kenny and the Planotones are really great performers! They are the best in person, and to hear their harmony and see what fun they have doing all these old songs we love is wonderful! Long live Kenny and the Planotones! Never stop singing, Kenny! Continue to keep this music alive!

I do like this version...No! I love this version. I'm not taking anything away from Jimmy & the crew. Their version is top notch & I love it. But this is how I would sing it. I love the way he made it his own, just by slowing down the tempo. Great song....superb performance.
Kenny! I bought the DVD, "Looking For An Echo" because of your great UA-cam performances and your legacy with Jay and the Americans! Absolutely loved the movie! I hail from Pittsburgh and have always been a fan of the Skyliners. R.I.P Janet Vogel! Being a long time veteran of the music biz as well, hope to see you at The Palace in Greensburg on May 5th. ~ Best of the Best!
Good stuff! Your fans really appreciate you as they should. Looking For An Echo is a perfect movie, it's one of my all time favorites. I've had a hankering to see it again and just thought maybe there's some vids on youtube. Viola....just had to get a dose of this great harmony . Thanks.
I would love to hear them do My Hero by Vito and The Salutations. I dont know if Vito Balsamo did the Falsetto on that lead but its to me one of the most beautiful acapella songs i have heard... I know he sang doing Gloria and their hit Unchained Melody.... and others... A great Acapella group bar none!!!
Grew up listening to the doo wop shop with norman knight. Cbs radio needs to get back to its roots. We,re all being cheated when this music is not played and performed. Let's keep it alive please.
Man do i miss Brooklyn. Bensonhurst, Bay Parkway and 86street. Catch the D train to go to Manhattan Beach.. I worked for OTB when it first opened in the early 70's... Kings Highway Ocean Ave... What great times...The thing was to go to the city Studio 54 The Monestary so many great places to dance...But Doo Wap was my favorite music in 1962. Doing the lead and threes guys backing me up...Drinking a little Gypsy Rose under the street lamp on Utica Ave And Eastern Parkway. That was East New York in Brooklyn.... Prospect park... Dam i miss those times places people specially the food!!!!

Lord, I hope we have Doo Wop in Heaven!
Too bad Kenny doesn't tour that much in the NYC area anymore.
I like this version better than the original.
Oh, yeah.
Tune :)
nice but skyliners own it
nice kenny but..the GREAT....Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners...are the owners of this fine song....one of my favorites..
I'm so totally torn between Kenny Vance and the Skyliners original with Jimmy Beaumont & Janet Vogel. I love both; wonderful!!!.
To say this is anywhere close to Jimmy Beaumont and Janet Vogel is absurd. They absolutely own that song for eternity.
Good ....but not great , the Skyliners did it wonderfully and fantastico .
Doo wop
