She says her constituents are raising lazy kids who join gangs instead of working full-time at age 9 like her."

Wait a minute… she got a “free ride” to work? What happened to the hard work of walking your ass to work?
Yeah I just hope people are least call her trifling ass out and she's the same nutjob talking about liter boxes in schools. Like I am amazed nobody decided to curse her out for her ridiculous spewing garbage .
The Republican Party is truly the most insane spectacle. She’s clearly furious and embittered by her experience and wants to ruin other kids childhoods in revenge because she’s such a hateful person.
Our parents worked so we would have a better life. She's crazy
The fact that she definitely had no friends in high school totally tracks
Sounds like shes repeated those lies about herself so often that she actually believes it.
Now her job is to complain and accept bribes
Facts. 😂
Politics as usual.
Corporate greed is ruining this world 😢
A kid got killed in Alabama working at a chicken company.
Can we fact check that she actually started working at the age of 9?
I’m sure she didn’t. However, as TYT pointed out, this has nothing to do with 9 year olds and is geared at 14 year olds for specific jobs.
She’s a liar 🤥
I wish we could fact-check all of these Republicans that say really stupid thing
Their own parents and grandparents were saying the EXACT SAME THING ABOUT THEM.
Why are they so stupid?
Being told you don't have a good work ethic when the other person spends only half the time working, and acting like bickering children is very frustrating and ironic.
Just because you were abused as a kid doesn’t mean we should be abused too
The abused become the abusers.
work isn't abuse.
@@brentharrington9235 go to hell 🤡
lol...Yea I'm sure in your world work feels like abuse.
@@brentharrington9235 the children yearn for the mines and textile mills apendages and health be damned
She is such a liar.
They want the poor kids to work. Their rich kids will not be working at a meat packing plant
Hopefully, we can import enough foreigners that none of us have to work in meat packing plants. That's the plan.... right? Lol.
It is quite astonishing to me how people who don't have to worry about their kids in public schools or their kids getting viciously bullied, or maybe shot get to throw their insufferable opinion about other people's kids. These Republicans are such goons in sheep's clothing
so poor kids should have to stay poor
@@lowboyyy they shouldn't be put in unsafe work environments. While the rich kids are focusing on their studies. The legal age limit I believe is 16 years old to work after school. But these people are talking about babies.
@Ilovemesomemj1 if they can handle the job they can handle the job, this just takes money away from kids growing up poor, doesn't effect the rich kids one way or the other
Wow. As a parent, my kids are NOT lazy. Facts
"I suffered so everyone else should have to" is a mindset I'll never be able to understand.
Exactly! They think it made them great. It made them cruel and lacking empathy. They also have no idea what life is REALLY all about! I've worked with these people. They never wanted to retire because that's all they were. When they did retire they were dead in a year. I worked to live, not the other way around. Struggle is NOT commendable! It's SUPPOSED to be a necessity not meant for our young and elderly.
It is a selfish mindset.
Did her kids have the jobs she's talking about when they were 9-14 years old? Do her grandchildren have jobs? Guarantee the answer to that is NO
Lol if your biggest concern as a teen was car insurance, you're leap years ahead of what today's kids are up against.
I dare her to go work in the same conditions kids were forced to work in before child labor laws existed! I dare her! She won't last 5 minutes.
Exactly!
my grandmother and mother both worked in sweat shops in NYC
they told me how awful the conditions were
I'd rather have kids pretending to be dogs and cats than phony self-righteous individuals pretending to be politicians.
@bradhayes8294
Well said!
Its meant for poor people's kids, not their kids.
Wow, that is so sick. They constantly fear Monger about people coming for their kids, when in actuality, they are the ones coming for the children.
This is a horrible idea, but it makes sense when you realize they're about destroying public education, and once they do that, kids won't have much choice if they can't afford the private school vouchers Republicans are so fond of. I can hear it already: "since you can't go to school, you may as well go to work, kids!" Amiright? Of course the privileged kids will still go to school, but the rest...? They're screwed. Depressing.
You're quite correct as, they literally want 18th Century SERFS, PEASANTS, ENDENTURED SERVITUDE, & SLAVES.
Her fear is clear. When you show children how little you value their lives don’t be surprised when they grow up and show you what they learned.
This lady needs therapy
Remember, this is the party that "cares" about the children.
Of course they do, if the poor start aborting the children they can't sustain where would they get the cheap labor force?
The bill relates to 14-15-year-olds.
Nothing wrong with them working a limited amount of hours.
@@brentharrington9235 there are already vehicles within the law allowing them part time work in certain industries just not as janitorial for a meat packing facilities its almost like there should be regulations in place to keep children from getting maimed
I started working early, my mom was already working two jobs and my father left us. I was able to help her until she was able to pull herself up. My whole family did this. We struggled, but my mother was a strong, Black woman that expected it. Most families in our neighborhood were similar. We all went to school, played football and basketball and worked a bit. We took public transportation where we needed to go. I realized when I got into college my work within was better. The kids that never worked, still didn’t, but always complained about school. They partied, went to very few classes and still managed to get a degree. I graduated top of my class and moved I to the world. I’m doing far better than my friends that didn’t have responsibilities growing up, and those that took it for granted. I worked and went to college. My mother instilled in us that hard work pays off. She had us do chores, maintain our studies, and help one another. I look back fondly at how she prepared me and my brothers and sisters. Every one of us complained growing up, and now we are all successful. The world still smacked me pretty hard, I was just expecting it, rolled with it, and punched back. I’m so glad I didn’t get hit and quit fighting.
Only until your born then to heck with you.
Whenever a politician who works less than 40 hours a week for only several months out of the year tells others they don't work hard enough, my eyes roll so far, I can see the inside of my skull.
It's also a wage suppression tactic.
Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. Beyond ignorance!
My first job at 16 was an Arby's back in the 90s. They expected me to work til 1am even on weekdays sometimes. Should've been 10pm cutoff.
I quit after 1 week. I drove by the area last year and noticed another business was in it's place. It could've been several other factors but I was smiling. LOL
Cheap labour is the last thing that they can do in late stage capitalism
Then most of the world is capitalist, because the US pays more than nearly every country.
I've been working and driving heavy equipment since age 7 on a familydairy farm, yeah it's a real bad idea. My body is ruined at age 43, my near death experiences are many, lol. Let kids be kids if you want functional adults 🤷
This is just a progression towards their ultimate goal, which is the relegalization of slavery here in the US.
As much as I'd like to (and historically would) dismiss what you say as conspiracy BS..... Considering the aftermath of overturning Roe v Wade, how deeply entrenched corporate lobbying / campaign finance is in our political process (at all levels), and the state of ever increasing socioeconomic divide... I can't help but think you might be right.
"Trickle down economics" turned out to be a very insightful and accurate description... unfortunately it's at the end of a still boiling off the working class
@@ritualmassacre
The obvious sign of their intent for bringing back slavery is their cheap labor overseas. Lincoln abolished slavery here because the country can't profit off of slavery. these tycoons had him assassinated because to them, owning other people like they're property is a tradition. And they want that back.
I would like to know why she thinks what she calls "kids" should be doing anything except being kids. Kids are supposed to be playing video games, supposed to enjoy their time as a child, and are supposed to focus on becoming a responsible, educated adult. Working is the parents responsibility. If a teen wants a job while maintaining their grades, that's already allowed. So what age group are we trying to send to work, hmmmm???
damn 9 year olds sitting home playing video games all day when they should be married to some old man by now
Wow, that is amazing to hear a grown adult speak like this about kids. America has always prided itself on our child labor protection laws and education opportunities for youth. How can you call yourself American and call for kids to work in dangerous occupations with no protections in the same breath? These are the same disgusting excuses of humans who don't ensure safe labor overseas where American manufacturing takes place.
Politics is not a retirement program! Term Limits!
People who play video games are too busy to commit crimes, and I wouldn't characterize people who hang out for games to be "gangs."
Ok Biden is old, but why would I ever vote for anything Republican?
Once you get a job you will probably work for the rest of you life. Even if your a stay at home parent, then the entire house and childcare becomes your job. Can we please let these babies enjoy the only 16 years of no responsibility they'll have? Jeez
Who the hell votes for these people?
Same question I wanted to ask.
Rich bullies and poor fools.
Yeah... I call bull on cat litter lady. No way her grades were good with the lack of critical thinking demonstrated by her social media.
Wow! Why do they want to parent everyone’s children?
Us Representatives need to look in the mirror for their the laziest people in the world
She joined a gang called GOP
This guy is a disgrace to Americans vote blue America for our freedom and womens rights
A few years ago I was driving back from shopping when I saw, up on a hillside a 6 foot long 3 foot tall sign advertising "Dominoes Pizza". It was next to a roadside in the winter. The wind was blowing and there was 2 Kids around 6 to 10 years old holding UP the sign. They were using the sign to hide from the wind, but the wind was changing. When I got home I called our Local Dominoes and asked for the Manager. When I complained to him about the sign, he said "Oh don't worry about it. Those are my Kids. They wanted to make some money". I asked him if he has good health insurance to help his Kids when they get sick, out in 20 degree weather?
Then I called the Arnold, Mo. police. Those Kids were not out there the next day. I guess you can't fix stupid or Greed.
johnmcfall9250
Great job I hope CPS GOT involved too. Thank You for getting involved
If she was working since the age of 9 she should of been able to afford her own car and car insurance
Any U.S. Congressman that thinks they work harder in Washington D.C. than any of those kids is a delusional clown. Those kids deserve the perks they have more than they do.
The politics of envy
_"I suffered so you should too"_
This is not the 1800's... She's out of touch.. old people
If kids today are so bad, whose fault is it? Do kids raise themselves?
It's the lawmakers fault for making it illegal to spank your child we're no longer free to raise our children how we find fit. If your 8 year old goes to the park you can be arrested for child neglect nowadays it's crazy
If they want kids to work, let them vote too, so they can vote on this
I wouldn't call them lazy, I would call them accustomed to a high standard of living. We should all want to maintain that high standard of living.
Isn't the laziness of the kids a reflection of the parents?
Daaaaammmnnn 🎉
Rich kids will not work. Only the kids whose parents need extra money for the home.
That is a State Representative not a US Representative. State Representatives are often insane like this
State legislators represent smaller districts than congressmen. Which means you often get districts with fewer constituencies and hence those who represent the district tend to be more ideological.
Like MQG.
This is totally coming from corporate America.
Isn't she the same lady that was saying kids were using litter boxes at schools? And I think she was born into some money, and didn't work like many of us had to growing up. I bet she wasn't working when she was a 16 yr old kid. She doesn't have a clue what it's like, or ever will, to work a shitty min wage job just to buy yourself some school supplies and clothes on that money let alone have ever worked in a fast food place or retail shop. Coming from a founding family, and spouting off like she ever had to work in fast food or retail🙄
She literally said she was working at 9. 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, many American families will jump at these opportunities. In the worst cases, struggling parents will pressure/force their kids; in the best cases, honorable kids will volunteer to work to help their parents provide.
Sadly, this will seem like an okay solution for families who are desperate. They didn't have rubber to wait to the minimum wage to go up or for college tuition to be free; ppl need more money now! Putting a 14yo to work will seem viable to too many Americans
Her campaign slogan is “GET OFF MY LAWN!”
Cheri Toalson Reisch is the reason we in America are failing at pretty much everything whether schools, pay, housing, food to eat, ect... she epitomizes a lack of understanding on pretty much anything in life
This is rediculas, I'm 64 and yes I started babysitting for money at 7 y.o., but the little money was my own. And we were poor, but it was mine, to buy treats or sometimes food, small presents ect. School was more important to my family, and having friends and play/exercise while you were still a kid. Same with my kids, in HS. The older ones had part time jobs, so long as it didn't interfer with school. And they kicked in a small amount of gas money for being dropped off and picked up from work (until they got DL and their own cars). I realize that the GQP are into helping out their buissines donors by increasing low wage workers for them. That's why they're making all the new rules/laws, forced birth, getting rid of birth control, lowering work age, changing /defunding schools, ect. If it works the way they want it will lead to many poorly educated large families where everyone must work to have food and shelter.
I can't like this, I can only agree with it
😢
I got news for this woman. Some kids see their parents struggling to make ends meet working a legal job. And after they pay their bills have nothing left. Then they see the gangsters rolling in cash and driving new cars and barely doing any work ( legal or otherwise).
Until you Congress people find a way to change that picture kids ain’t gonna be rushing to get a legal job anywhere.
It was hard to keep my kids on track, but every child doesn’t have a mother and father that care.
Another thing all the jobs that teenagers were doing back then, have been taken over by adults.
How do you think lids see their peer police officers that are blue line gang members covered in tattoos beating people up for dim license plate bulbs or a burned out signal light " for officer safety " .
"Nobody wants to be exploited any more! 🧐"
Her basic argument is "I did it, and it didn't do me harm". Um... I'll present her with refuting evidence #1 - A mirror.
And she would see a strong woman kids are weak and lazy today they're spoiled rotten we do need to change our child labor laws kids need to go to work I can understand not put them in a factory I've been working ever since I was a kid probably 7 I did construction/ tree removal/ farming in middle school and high school bought my first house at 22 I now have three hard work pays off
@@justinbradford6086 you're missing the point. Corporations WANT to pull back labor laws so that they can abuse the kids. Problem with your mentality is you won't or can't emphasize until you lose a limb or someone close to you (also young) loses their life on same job you are forced to do because there are no labor laws to prevent the endangerment of kids, or workers in general. I am assuming you had experienced a good work culture that looked out for you when you were a youth. Would you feel the same if you were forced to work in a non-air-conditioned sweat shop sewing products on dangerous industrial machines that can sew your hands in seconds? There are actual kids that lost their hand in countries with no such labor laws to prevent such. I'm sure when your parents let (made) you work, they had your safety in mind? If not, then I'm sorry you were brought up by horrible people.
@@9dayNME I said no factories I'm saying let the kids work none horrible conditions of course strawman argument to something I've never said
@@justinbradford6086 THAT is what they're trying to pass! They do not want to have to care about the welfare of the kid, nor a fair wage to pay the kid. 14 year olds can work now with current labor laws, only thing stopping are parents and work availability suitable for minors.
@@justinbradford6086 I think it gets to as young as 12 in some states currently? Even then there are laws to ensure the youth is not exploited. Rolling back what we have now is giving permission for exploitation.
If conservatives say that people, including kids are made violent by video games, they really should be told about what working in slaughter houses land meat plants does to people.
They expect us to sacrifice our parents and our kids. If anything our child labor laws need to be expanded. These people are absolutely nuts.
What job does she have at age 9? Did she set up a little lemonade stand out in front of her house? What there is gonna tell her nine-year-old you have to go get her job. We’re tired I’m supporting you. Sounds like piss poor parents
Or a piss poor liar.
Missouri? They mispelled "misery"
I’m going to guess that her school curriculum was neither difficult or challenging. Or informative.
Funny my teenage son was a gamer and now he is an adult gamer. He missed the pipeline to gang membership.
And the working part also
What do they intend for 3 year olds to work in a factory?
Yes just like in the 1800's
So what I am hearing is that she thinks she suffered as a child and therefore she wants other children to suffer just as much or more.
First 30 seconds and I'm already rolling my eyes, sighing, and saying "sure thing boomer..."
She is soooooo ignorant
“Ignorant”?? Oh, you’re too kind.
And old, she’s so old when she divorced her first husband…she got the cave
As we all well know, there’s nothing more patriotic than lowering the standard of living and quality life for your fellow Americans. Whatta joke!
I paid for my own health insurance (thru a Union job) and car insurance since I was 18 1/2.
They dont need to have under-aged kids working most jobs, they need to be concentrating on their school work so they can get ahead in life.
Lady should just let us enjoy childhood in peace, just because her childhood is shit doesn't mean ours should suck too!
If the kids are lazy blame the parents 😊
Do you wanna know why they don’t have a work ethic because their kids. There’s supposed to be kids while their kids.
I worked all my teen years, first paper routes, then at a bicycle shop, then for "high school work study" in the most Dickensian factory you could imagine, with toxic chemicals, hazardous machinery (which injured me severely) and RATS! I learned all the wrong things. Low wages for dangerous work. There is a reason for child labor laws, what I had to endure no kid should suffer.
"GET A JOB" but she left out the part about "make her donor class more money so she can get more kickbacks.
Sounds like a bunch of angry old people...'you kids have it so easy....I used to walk 20 miles to school, uphill both ways, through 10 feet of snow.....'
Cheap Labor
Isn’t that what the people coming up from our southern border are covering for big business?
The kids playing video games aren’t the kids desperate enough to take these jobs.
My son did not get his first job until he was 18. He played video games... all day long.
He has had exactly 2 jobs, one for about a year and then another. He is now 31, and is still working that 2nd job.
Most kids are not "lazy", they just don't want to work jobs that pay garbage and part time. The whole "nobody wants to work anymore". Needs to have that sentence finished. "Nobody wants to work for bad employers anymore for poverty wages and terrible schedules".
So they are holding out. They want full time with benefits because they are tired of being blamed for everything.
They talk this way because it's not their kids
"Misery lawmaker" indeed. Missouri loves company.
I love how she’s mimicking the MTG patented no education speech pattern as well as the no education ideas she supports lmao
again, GOP saying how bad their life was and how everyone elses life should be..
What is so bad about working? I’m a proud, Black man and was taught to work by my mother. She expected all of us to take responsibility. I had a great childhood, worked hard, played hard, and am successful. I grew up in the projects and saw what happened to others that were allowed to do nothing. My mother was a strong, Black woman and wouldn’t let that happen. BTW, she was a democrat, so am I, and my children take responsibility too. I don’t want them ending up like privileged brats expecting something for nothing. Your comment would apply to more than one party, think before you post.

So her parents were losers
Hang on, she was working from age nine while her parents had a car, what's their priorities.
What kind of jobs will pay a child enough to buy a car and insurance?I know that was probably true back in the thirties when she was coming up
Same thing we heard in the 80’s gangs and video games. She’s half a century behind the times.
That's true. I turned 13 in 1980. I'm a conservative, but yea gangs were a big problem then. Video games were too boring then to be truly addictive.
Things just repeat over and over
Same thing people said about gangsters, alcohol and gambling back in the 20's. These problems have always existed? What is the real solution? Republicans just screech at stuff that doesn't harm the overwhelming majority of people all that much.

I wonder what child labor laws Matt Gaetz would enact. XD
Answer: They are Always yelling like that because they ARE the Dalek.
If they don't work then nevermind, they are children. It's these grown people you need to put to work.
Well she’s flat out lying saying she couldn’t get her license because her parents couldn’t afford to add her to their insurance… but her brother had his and paid for his own! It does not matter, the parents have to cover all licensed drivers EVEN if they have their own vehicle and insurance.
