thanks for doing the video -I followed the steps to a certain point but couldnt get the right things on the settings to finish it -can you tell me how to just undo everything i did with "build" and tethering and all that?
No like it doesn't detect any networks at all. Even if I do all of these it just doesn't show even after a Reset it still doesn't show. This is so frustrating!

Wow that actually worked. I had to hit the build option 8 times when I hit it the fifth time it was like a countdown stating that I was 3 clicks away to becoming the developer. Oh... and I didn't have the Wifi Direct option but it worked on a old phone that's only used for UA-cam for a young child. I am VERY HAPPY YAY..Ty so much!!!

Mine still doesn't work sadly. It's a Huawei phone. It detects all other wifi but not my own. It pops up once in a while then vanishes again. 😪

Check if your router is on 2.4ghz, if it's on 5ghz it won't detect it
@Cj try just reseting your wifi network.. i just watched this whole video for fuck all.. i only needed to reset my wifi setting and restarted my phone to be safe. all back to normal.

Thank you for the great video. So I followed all steps but got stuck when I reached the "Apps" step after reset I could not find any wifi after I searched. My phone just lost connection to my wifi and it won't connect to my router as well.
Don't type wifi, type WI-FI DIRECT
Same. I use huwaei and there is no such app as Wi-fi direct. It just appears under the wi-fi section and not under the apps.

Ya guys can try unplugging the Wifi router and plug it back in after 5 minutes and it should work because it worked in my case. If this still dosen't work then I'm sorry I don't know. Keep searching and yeah good luck!

Brother my mobile connects to wifi but no internet connection... This only happens when i connect to my house wifi. But it works when i connect to another person's wifi also works when i connect through Hotspot... There is no problem with my house wifi for sure because rest of the devices works just fine on that wifi.
Having the same issue with a Motorola. The only way it detects home WiFi is if i turn router security off.. But this is not a do-able option.
