Playing this game and going through the mines and desert cave really felt like Dark Cloud, running around the Divine Beast Cave at the beginning of the game.
I like that none of the themes in Stardew really repeat after one play. Sometimes as good as some themes in games are they become old after a while of constant play
My friend tried getting my to play this game with him and I never wanted to. I finally caved and just mined everyday, the music made it so much more enjoyable!
Star lumpy and Crystal bells invokes a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of the first time you went to the mines. Icicles and Cloth are the most sombre and beautiful songs played in the frigid depths from floor 40 and beyond putting you in an existential crisis. Magical shoes and Visitor to the unknown both capture the sense of finality when entering the lava levels of the mines. Lava dwellers, what an ironic name, considering it fits perfectly with the mood when spelunking your way through the forsaken depths of the skull caverns. That essence, that desert essence, that frantic and overwhelming beat just resembles the image of One going through those ancient floors, sealed in a curse to reanimate the living, not to mention the everlasting curse of iridium driving these monsters mad.
I would put this soundtrack on with my then newborn and listening now to "A Flicker in the Deep" could make me cry. It's so achingly beautiful and the pace reminds me of a perfect spring day, just like those first few months with my newborn.

It is so incredible that only one person made everything in this game including all the soundtrack. The soundtrack is just as great as the rest of the game

yeah, all the songs feel really nostalgic, probably because the years you spend playing in game kinda feel like real life years.
