I have the 14 Pro because the sharp edges don’t bother me as much as the pro max. That’s why I’m keeping this phone. Will probably get the 16 Pro if they make changes to iOS and hardware 👍🏽 if not, I’m not getting rid of my 14 Pro.

How is the battery?
Pressing the action button once should launch whatever function you assign. Pressing and holding it should toggle ringer. Really lame that they didn’t set it up that way from the start.
Yeah, massive missed opportunity from Apple. Action button should have 3 actions - 1 press, 2 presses, and hold. I'm sure it will come out in an update soon enough.
IMO maybe they want people to "get used" to the action button for a year before making it more complicated (if you can call adding more press functions complicated).
I disagree. Accidental presses in your pocket is why. If you make it that the display has to be on, then kids will press it and unwanted people that take hold of your phone. If you make it that your phone has to be unlocked, then you can’t use it for the most convenient options. Such as silent switch, instant and reliable camera access for when something requires it… also, pressing a button multiple times and giving it more functionality seems more productive, but isn’t. Its less reliable. I dont know how many times you double press a shallow button on a small device but double clicking buttons like that is a huge hit or miss. Finally, remembering how many taps for what has to be recalled each time as for some reason its not natural for us to remember. Recalling it constantly distracts our thought and takes attention away from whats going on, defeating the purpose of a physical button. If you dont think that’s a big deal, then try using the torch button on the lock-screen vs physical button. You’ll see the difference in legitimate stress. I have the airpod pro maxs and hate double or triple pressing the crown button so much. It’s super unreliable. And that button is one of the nicest feeling buttons i’ve pressed.

afaik the screen is the exact same size. the reduction in the borders goes with a smaller overall body

Believe it or not, I accidentally bought 13 Pro Max on my birthday 2 years ago. I wanted a gold colour but I didn't pay much attention to the size of the box when the sales person took out the and put it on the counter. My husband was at the counter and he asked me, I saw the colour and nodded yes. So he went ahead and paid, I only realised the size of the phone when we got home. LOL! So it's time to change to 15 pro. This time around I'll make sure to check the size properly.
Great video but at 1:09 you made a mistake of saying iPhone 14 Pro instead of 15 Pro internal being bonded with aluminium frame and titanium shell.

Huge difference my ass , people can`t tell if I`m having my 12 pro or 14 pro , from 12 to 15 , often asking me if its the 15 pro, they`re all the same. The only difference is the c-port and its 2k23 like woah , apple purposefully kept the obsolete lighting port for years , in my mind its not an upgrade , just a simple change.
The ONE and ONLY thing I did not like about my iPhone 14 Pro when I purchased it was the very distinct & sharp edges. I wanted them SO badly to be rounded. Which I just knew was going to be in the next iteration. Lo and behold, the iPhone 15 Pro. Ugh. It’s more ergonomically comfortable, and with that(and withOUT a case) it slides in and out of your pockets must pop more easily.

Is it worth it to upgrade to the iPhone 15 pro from a 12 pro max? Or even a 14 pro. I’m not hearing good things about the 15 pros.

im genuinely scared of the 15 pros having problems similar to the note 7 so naaah im waiting longer, ooooooor get a 14 pro which is what i wanted last year but i might upgrade this year so the 14 pro would be fine for me, also cuz of convenience and esthetic reasons (i don’t like the new titanium finish, its scratches easily, looks cheap and ugly, and feels weird, like matte but slippery idk how to describe it but it doesn’t feel pleasant for my hand…. only thing is that ergonomically feels good)
The action button can do literally almost anything on the iPhone 15 Pro’s and Pro Max with the shortcut app, aside the basic stuffs Apple released with it.
Sure, but my point was about Apple assigning different button press configurations to the Action Button as standard functionality built into iOS.

@@Testimony201 My theory is that Apple will hold off on introducing a double tap/hold function for another 12 months so users can "get used" to the new Action Button.
The overwhelming majority of iPhone users don't even know how to change their passcode let alone adapt to a new button, so I guess I can see where Apple is coming from.

Apple should allow all hardware buttons on pro devices have programmable long press single press double press & triple press functions, both pro models should have received new 5x zoom and it should have been variable up to 10x, titanium phone should be more durable like watch ultra but it’s not “Bad Apple‼️”, with many reports of issues looks like Apple has quality control issues this year also unacceptable, hoping 15pro on order is good, 👍👍 video
For the same price i can get an iphone 14 pro max or an iphone 15 pro (not max) i don’t mind about battery since i came from an iPhone 14 pro (not max) which one is the best choice?
Add a bit of info, some UA-cam have test the battery life, 15 pro is a bit lower than 14 pro.
And my cent to this will depends on what you want to get from upgrade, do you need larger screen, or you are tired of lightning port, that's my understanding of your choice between 14pm and 15p, as they 15s are just one generation after the 14s, the performance difference may not be that significant, so if you don't mind, maybe next year can be a better time to upgrade? I'm a Samsung Guy but I bought my Wife the 13 Pro & it's been the best iPhone ever made, imo.
She's never took a picture or opened the camera app, she Only Watches Movies on her phone & it barely sees 65% to 70% battery life at the end of the day!
It does get Thermal 🔥 for no apparent reason often & so did my 8+ when I was with Apple. (Reason why I switched) if I pay over a $1000 for a product?
I expect it to work properly, zero excuses.
The bezels are smaller yes but the phone is smaller so not a bigger screen just a smaller phone. Slightly smaller

It’s probably so stupid but I wanna wait until Christmas to get iPhone 15 pro. But BUT I have a iPhone 14 pro max.. I know the comments are gonna think I’m dumb. But this phone at first feels high class good. Until you get the fingerprints and realize this phone is a lil heavy in your hand and pocket and the charging port gets easily dirty to the point it can not charge. So I gotta clean the crap outta it. A lot of people said “it’s your money” and some people said “it’s not worth it” but after watching so many vids idk if I should get it now but wait until Christmas bc software issues n stuff. But a week ago on my bday I went to the Apple Store and LOVED how the 15 felt and looked for it’s color. And I never felt this way towards a phone and plus my trade in deal is 650$ so I’m spending only 360$ or something like that on the iPhone 15 in total. But idk what’s ya guys thoughts?

Yes, that's the only case I use, UAG is great, I have one on my iPhone 14 pro, selling my phone to upgrade to the 15 pro 256gb and already purchased the UAG, phone case.

Changing the type C to lighnting cable is big issue rather stick on the old iphone rather than upgrade to 15

Hi for me it was totally worth it going form iPhone 14 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro coz I was an Android user for 10 years soo usb c was the reason why I Changed it out coz I already had usb c Airpods pro gen 2 for me it's totally worth it as coming from Android.
Coming from someone who has a 14pro.. it’s definitely not worth it to upgrade to the 15 unless you have an iPhone 11 or lower

Didn't notice any significant differences so didn't mention it. Also most of the battery tests being done are with iPhone 14 Pro models that have been used for 1 year already, so their capacity won't be the same as a brand new 15 Pro.

@@fist003 Do you know if the 14 he was using was bought recently or is it 1+ year old? Even though it may display at 100% battery health in iOS settings it's capacity may still have reduced slightly (which could account for 3-5% difference minimum). Also that iOS battery health rating is notoriously inaccurate. Not saying his test was inaccurate but all of these benchmark battery tests should be taken with a grain of salt!

Also, for the car, use Bluetooth connectivity / CarPlay.
Yes, the connector is USB-C, but the actual protocol is only USB 2.0... They are two different things...
And only some cars have wireless CarPlay. Most still require a cable.

I upgraded mine ONLY because of the deal that I got from AT&T. And while there are some noticeable differences I wouldn’t recommend upgrading.
If apple put 3500 mah battery still on pro will be light weight the exact weight to rest on your pinky finger without pain. I guess bcoz the pro max will be lose in terms of battery life thats why they didn't do it. In anyway if they do it they will have profit

It is possible to record 4k@60Hz ProRes Log video to the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max without external storage. With 164 GB of free space on my 256 GB. 15 Pro I can get 2 whole minutes with the on-board storage. So it is possible, just not advisable.
Iphone 16 Pro/Pro Max will be miles better than iPhone 15 Pro lineup
None of next gern iPhones will be “miles” better, because the business doesn’t work like that. The differences between prev and next iPhones will be always incremental.

I’m just gonna stick with my 14 pro max. USB C is useless for me since the charge speed is the same. Better weight+bezels+edges is all nice but not necessary and 100% useless if you go with a case. Action button isn’t necessary durability is actually worse. Just slightly better camera and battery life ain’t doing that for me. 95% of people should upgrade only if they have iPhone 12 or below
