Oh the Timothy Dalton version of Jane Eyre is beyond fabulous! I first watched it in school, and he became my hero. Glad you enjoyed it.

Totally get it. Some decks feel almost alive with insight. Some feel kinda just like paper and ink. And SOME just say nope, I don't wanna work with you lol. Decks and connection to them are really personal. :)

I had no interest in this deck, whatsoever. Just wanted to say thank you for your unequivocal, blunt honesty. Its refreshing. I have bought decks based on your recommendations , murder of crows, tarot of the abyss, alice in wonderland oracle, never regretted the purchase. So, having said that , IF this one was on my radar, per your review alone, i would have taken a hard pass. You spoke of if the deck feels right for someone, go for it. As well as the love of her decks overall. Very well said. Seeing both sides, i didnt see your review as biased at all. Kudos, Raecine. Again , appreciate your honesty!

As someone who loves Alana's decks, I fully agree with this review so far (still watching). Sacred Rebels and Mother Mary are the decks by her that I turn to over and over again.

I was on the fence about purchasing the deck. Really glad you reviewed the deck after trying to work with it. I too am a Taurus and we Taurus think and expect alike. I removed “Medicine Heart Oracle” from my Christmas list. Don’t need to add to the pile of deck purchases that did not serve me. Thank you for your honest follow-up review and for saving me money. I’ll spend the funds on a much more worthy deck.
    Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh I am glad to hear your verdict on this one. I probably won't purchase since I have a good amount of Alana's decks. But it looks gorgeous.
I too have and love her isis, sacred Rebs, divine circus & white light. Hence why I waited for your review for this one, as your pretty spot on with these decks. I may take the plunge with the kali deck though .

As someone who’s brand new to Alana Fairchild (I’ve just started working with her Kali Oracle), I am finding her writing to be just as you describe it to be for the Medicine Heart Oracle. I find myself having to reread each card info, then research online for each Kali representation that is mentioned, then going back to the booklet and sifting through to find a takeaway. I love the bright colours used in the artwork, while I wasn’t a fan of the artistic style the brightness and contrasts have one me over. And have been so excited to finally do your Kali-Ma week, which I think is the main reason I am able to work with it so far as the spread questions are fantastic. I am just having a hard time connecting with Alana’s way of writing, too many descriptions without actually saying anything clearly that I can take work with. Thanks for your honest review ❤
[edit: having said all that, I’ve been drawn to connecting with Kali for many months now, and while I don’t think this author is going to guide me closer, I’ll continue to use this deck until I find or am drawn to a deck that may be more conducive in my journey.]

I looked at this and passed, I think it needed keywords or something to make it more user friendly/ readable The artwork is lovely, but I didn’t think I’d use it❤ thanks for sharing your thoughts. Frame the artwork. I’ve had decks that were just works of art.

Thank you for your review. I recently finished to read the guidebook of the white light oracle (I like to do that before using a deck) And my overall feeling was that a lot of cards meaning feels a little bit repetitive if not almost the same. I plan to use it for december so I will see. (but i did'nt read the healing process to keep a little surprise so maybe for this it will be worth it, but I love the art work so It's ok) And the medecine heart was on my wish list, but I'm not sure anymore, but thanks for your honesty, It is so important to have people that we can trust. and you can change your mind and it is ok too. :)

This deck was 'shamanism lite' for me. I love the artwork, but it sits on my shelf and looks pretty, and so far that's it :(

That's too bad. I was just thinking that we need a review on this deck. I do have this, the Kali, Isis, Divine Circus and White Light ones. Haven't used this one yet. Good to hear your opinion. Do you have the Foxfire Kitsune one? If so, would like to hear your review. (Funny names of your makeup, LoL)

I was super excited for this when I first saw this deck, and hearing this is a little disappointing.
I have the Earth Warrior and I fell in love with it because of the human justice work I do, especially on the plant medicines (psychedelic space) end, ensuring accessibility to all and reciprocity with the land and the cultures/indigenous people they are in relationship with etc. I am also on my path to my Medicine Woman journey. I was going to school to be a psychedelic therapist, incorporating spiritual and indigenous practices. However, it seems like the Universe has been pushing me in other ways of learning, and meeting the (indigenous) people who are more in alignment with what I want to do. With that said, knowing what I'm trying to do in this lifetime, would you say that this would be a good fit for me? If not, what recommendations would you make for a Plant Medicine (Aya and Psilocybin) Woman?

I was drawn to get this season: sacred rebels, divine circus, Rumi ans this one Medicine heart, but as per this review, maybe i will try and start to connect with Kali and Isis, as I'm trying to step out of my confort zone.

I watched an Edgar Allen Poe movie yesterday with Debra Paget as the female lead and you came to mind. She was one of the raven-haired beauties of the Hollywood golden days, even though she was never super famous. I was always a big fan of hers.

Thank you so much 🖤 you’ve saved me from buying this deck. I’ve already got Sacred Rebels.
I love the Kali decks too.
So far I’ve really connected quickly & deeply with the Alana decks I’ve bought so I’d be very disappointed & frustrated if I had one that really fell flat.
There’s a deck by someone else I’ve had my eye on that I will purchase instead (it had been pushed off my first place to buy next by this one) I’m so glad I held off on buying until your review

It was as I suspected when you first showed us the deck. Too bad! But thank you for being so real and honest about it
I’m really hoping for another Goddess specific deck from Alana next, she really channels them well and pair it with such stunning artwork. I revisited your Kali Ma workshop last week, and gosh are both your workshop and those decks gems?!

You sound sooooo frustrated. I'm sorry you didn't connect. I just purchased it, I hope it's love and not lust. LoL! Not every deck is for us and perhaps you are right, many months from now as you dust it off you may end up giving it another try. ❤️

Thanks for your honest review. I could sense your deep disappointment of not connecting to this Deck. So sorry that it does not work for you, at least not right now. I don't have any Alana Fairchild decks, but this deck would not be one I would be interested in. I would go with the Divine Circus.

I pre-ordered this deck many months ago, and have struggled and struggled and struggled with it.
I just found your review today, and I actually feel like hearing your honest opinion has helped me to give myself permission to give up on this deck. I wanted to love it so badly, but the guidebook is just awful. I feel like its just pages and pages and pages of nothing. I draw a card and read about it, and am left feeling nothing and learning nothing. Its just paragraphs and paragraphs without any substance. So disappointing.
Thank you for sharing your honest review.

Timothy Dalton Jane Eyre is everything, I adore it 🤌 I totally agree with you! I used this deck a few times and it was a resounding no for me. Sacred Rebels and her other decks does everything this deck does and more! Like you said, I think this deck is really great for someone who wants a very surface level intro but the length of the guidebook could be off putting for someone new. This felt like she was trying to put her spin on an explicitly Shamanic deck and wanted to include everything, which is really respect. But when you’re trying to include everything, it feels surface level and too general.

I love Alana Fairchild. I discovered her through your Channel only 2 months ago. You are pretty good for convincing people! I bough 5 deck from her based on your review ( wild kuan Yin, Medecine Heart, kali, Isis and Mother Mary). I did not used the medicine Heart yet but was so hoping you would love it. Just after this review, I draw a card (because your review put a doubt in my mind!) the message was perfect, on point. I guess since I do not have Sacred Rebel and Divine Circus, neither White light I will enjoy it more, because it will not feel a pale copy. Let’s see how it goes! Thank you so so much for tour work, you’re the best. By the way, Divine Circus and Sacred Rebel are in my basket on Amazon. Should I place the order?? I want them so much 😂. I feel I’m missing something fabulous!

I see what you mean. I also found this deck underwhelming. Unfortunately the guidebook is too wordy and confusing. I have to sit and write down relevant phrases as I read the card meaning because otherwise I can't make sense of what she means when I'm done reading. One thing that confused me was also how Alana chose to include a lot of Buddhist teachings (but the deck is marketed as shamanic), and again, I couldn't make sense of it... Really disappointed because the artwork is wow! It's not a bad deck in my opinion, It's just that she has done many others that are soo much better! I found myself missing the Sacred Rebels when I worked with it...
