- Donnie Sutherland on Sounds and After Dark:
Donnie talking to Steve Kilbey and manager Ken(?) of The Church on the 20th of December, 1980. This might have been the first television interview that Steve Kilbey ever did. Please identify the name of the manager?

I loved Sounds and Donnie ❤
I Loved "SOUNDS". Donnie Was Great. He Had A Wide Range Of Bands And Artist. Loved After Dark Too. We Need A Show Like This Again.
After dark was fantastic also. I remember when Sounds took over from sound unlimited. Saw some incredible interviews even though I didn’t get a lot of the music until later. Very supportive of new Aussie bands. Once in a lifetime show and great theme tunes.
I don't see how the name The Church was a strange name, anyhow. The Church from 1980 to 1984 in particular were so FABULOUS. She Never Said is my FAVOURITE track ever from The Church, I am still annoyed no video was made for the track BUT The Church did perform She Never Said on Countdown, so pheeew. That is the video clip now for it.
According the The Church biography, "No Certainty Attached", they took the name from a lyric in the David Bowie song "Moonage Daydream", which mentioned "The Church of Man", and that was originally going to be their name, but they ultimately decided on just "The Church". In another interview I read somewhere a few years ago, Steve said that "It seemed naughty at the time".
Fantastic!
I miss Donnie plzzz come back
Mate, as a mega churchie since '81, this is moon dust. Thanks!
Awesome! You’re getting more videos from 1980
