Lol. High hats.....? We don't need no stinking high hats, we are the Yamaha Mounted Police. Throw down your drumsticks we mean you no harm. Steve is the man!
Equipment geeks love this. It's always nice to have good equipment, it doesn't replace talent, dedication or ability. It also helps that you're Mr. Gadd.
Thanks 🙏 STEVO just for making the world a better place they call you the goat the boss I just call you one great human being for sharing your love through music 🎵 😊👍🏾🇳🇿kiwi fan
why does it seem that every great drum fill, one that you stand up and take notice, is played, probably quite spontaneously, by Steve Gadd? The man's a treasure.
Got my Yamaha's from Robbie's Music Barn in Mahwah, NJ in 1986 (still have them) because Tommy Aldridge, Anton Fig, Omar Hakim and the GOAT, Steve Gadd played them.
@@thecowboyinc That is so cool! You one up'd me with the original heads, pinstripes with the Yamaha logo on them, if I'm not mistaken? Maybe I'm wrong. Still have the original bottoms of course.
@ right! Only non stock is the front of the kick because I had one made with the band name. I have changed heads. I have a set of ambassadors and emperors to get some different flavors. But I always revert back to the stock heads for that dead sound. But you probably have a Yamaha snare, which I didn’t get when I ordered mine. I have a 60’s Ludwig super sensitive so I thought, why pay an extra 3-400$ for another snare.
You'd think someone on this accoun would show the actual hi-hat stand, or at least have a link. I mean there are drums and hardware in the video, everything but the actual hi-hat stand! Is this peek-a boo?
Look when he he said "I've been playing it for years", it goes with the background piano.. nice
woahhh
He's listening to that piano. He's Steve Gadd 🙏
Would have been nice to see the new stand

Still Steve "Godd" to me. Loved the little glimpse of him playing. He still keeps his felt nice and high on his kick pedal. A perfect punch.
