I think every social media influencer should spread this awareness. Few months ago the same case happened with me about which Gaurav sir has explained that someone will video call you and all. They threaten me to spread that video on social media and was telling me to destroy my career. Perhaps I registered a cybercrime FIR and finally get out of that shit. But after that I deleted my social accounts. Thanks to Gaurav sir for spreading awareness hope all other youtubers share this news so that their audience will be aware of these stuffs.

Some lesson which I have learnt from my previous experiences 1- Almost every person who seems to be helping you is anyway helping himself. 2- nothing is as straight and simple as it is being presented. 3- And as gaurav sir said- without looking and verifying at a legal paperwork you should never believe anybodies words. 4- Our courts and authorities work in a proper and structured manner, nothing in the system of courts and policing happens so sudden and without giving you a proper opportunity to say your things.
Fear of law also gets many people to take wrong decisions...We should understand law is to help us not blame us..I agree with gaurav sir's suggestion of providing a basic law educastion in schools or colleges

Once I caught up in a small accident. The person whose car I hit, told me he was a police officer and started demanding money right away. He was asking me to pay 9000rs though the damage was just a scratch. I refused to give the money. He then called a man who came in a police van but was in casuals. He also started asking for the money. Then I asked them to take me to the police station and I'll do whatever is required but those guys were forcing me to close the matter then and there, by paying. I then started feeling nervous and wasn't able to figure out what to do. By God's grace there was an army man passing by. The army man looked at me and the other two guys. May be, he understood something was not right. He came towards us and asked about the whole matter. He then asked the two men to show their ID cards which they didn't had. He immediately caught them by there way of talking and their anwers, when he enquired them. He figured out that they were fake and took them to the real police. There they told that they intentionally indulged into these types of accidents to usurp money from people. Also, the police van was a fake one. That day I learnt a lesson that one should never ever belive anyone immediately without investigation. May God bless that army man🙏. Jai hind 🇮🇳

She contacted the person on social media, got influenced by that person and the greed to get free gifts led to such financial loss. Bottom line is that it is an expensive learning experience and tremendous loss to her.

This type of frauds are so common in matrimonial sites ... 1 of my close friend was dragged into it but thank God she just decided to go deep into it and then she went on asking him questions on his every way to convince her on getting her address so that he could send her gifts and then blackmail just same as in this case... She totally denied to give any more information to him and said if you're looking for a bride from India than you have to follow some rituals and come with your parents and ask her hand to her family rather than sending gifts ..

Before a month some fraudster in an authoritative tone called me and said he is from the Crime Investigation Authority (CID) of Delhi, he shared my Aadhar Number, Pan Number & my previous employment details and said there is a case against me by a Vendor in Delhi. I said them to forward me the Case Details, I will face it legally. The person immediately hung up the call. He gave me a tracking ID after 2 days I received a call from a lady she said she is speaking from Mumbai Airport. She told me to send 45k so that she can transfer me to my address which I never gave them 😒 I simply denied ki bhaad mai jao aur apne parcel ko bhi sath leke jao. Thank God I am saved 🤯

This is true, people on matrimonial sites are also following this approach, they will ask you to send them money so that they could book tickets and come to India. I came across similar incident (thankfully I did not entertain that person), they are like ready to invest 2-3 months to show their trust and they say they would like to come to India. And they will also say that they are some where deployed in US navy and posted at Syria etc. and they can not have access to their phones and bank account etc. Girls please act cautiously, do not fell for gifts etc.
A similar incident happened to me a couple of months back. I'm an artist by profession and somebody from UK asked for a custom made painting. All the communication was done via email only. The person told that he would send the money via cheque which will reach india in 24 hours. Next day I got a call from someone. The person claimed to be a airport authority and asked me to pay 8000/- custom charge. After that he emailed the bank details. The bank details that was being shared was someone's private account that too with branch name IIT Agartala. That's when I realised that it's definitely a fraud as no custom authority will take payments in someone's personal account. There is a possibility that the fraud was done by a student of IIT Agartala itself. In order to pay customs, The account name has to be genuine after the name of some authority. I was fortunate enough that I could save myself from being trapped in such a fraud. Please guys don't fall in such traps.

This scam is very common these days. Many of my friends got friend requests from foreigners and later on they said they will send the gifts. You have to get them through airport. They were smart enough to dodge that.

I asked if I could report this to cyber agency. But he wasn't convinced and he started avoiding us. Atlast, not having enough money actually saved him. What an irony!

And with the growing tech and freedom to use it without any monitoring leads to such issues. Growth of technology is definitely a boon, however if not used wisely, turns out to be a Curse. 1- Almost every person who seems to be helping you is anyway helping himself.

Once I caught up in a small accident. The person whose car I hit, told me he was a police officer and started demanding money right away. He was asking me to pay 9000rs though the damage was just a scratch. I refused to give the money. He then called a man who came in a police van but was in casuals. He also started asking for the money. Then I asked them to take me to the police station and I'll do whatever is required but those guys were forcing me to close the matter then and there, by paying. I then started feeling nervous and wasn't able to figure out what to do. By God's grace there was an army man passing by. The army man looked at me and the other two guys. May be, he understood something was not right. He came towards us and asked about the whole matter. He then asked the two men to show their ID cards which they didn't had. He immediately caught them by there way of talking and their anwers, when he enquired them.
He figured out that they were fake and took them to the real police. There they told that they intentionally indulged into these types of accidents to usurp money from people.
Also, the police van was a fake one.
That day I learnt a lesson that one should never ever belive anyone immediately without investigation.

This has happened with me too. A guy messaged me on Facebook he told he was from Singapore and he is sending me gifts. He gave me a tracking ID after 2 days I received a call from a lady she said she is speaking from Mumbai Airport. She told me to send 45k so that she can transfer me to my address which I never gave them 😒 I simply denied ki bhaad mai jao aur apne parcel ko bhi sath leke jao.

This is true, people on matrimonial sites are also following this approach, they will ask you to send them money so that they could book tickets and come to India. I came across similar incident (thankfully I did not entertain that person), they are like ready to invest 2-3 months to show their trust and they say they would like to come to India. And they will also say that they are some where deployed in US navy and posted at Syria etc. and they can not have access to their phones and bank account etc.
Girls please act cautiously, do not fell for gifts etc.

A similar incident happened to me a couple of months back. I'm an artist by profession and somebody from UK asked for a custom made painting. All the communication was done via email only. The person told that he would send the money via cheque which will reach india in 24 hours. Next day I got a call from someone. The person claimed to be a airport authority and asked me to pay 8000/- custom charge. After that he emailed the bank details.
The bank details that was being shared was someone's private account that too with branch name IIT Agartala. That's when I realised that it's definitely a fraud as no custom authority will take payments in someone's personal account. There is a possibility that the fraud was done by a student of IIT Agartala itself. In order to pay customs, The account name has to be genuine after the name of some authority.
I was fortunate enough that I could save myself from being trapped in such a fraud.
Please guys don't fall in such traps.

This scam is very common these days. Many of my friends got friend requests from foreigners and later on they said they will send the gifts. You have to get them through airport. They were smart enough to dodge that.

Same thing had happened with a person known to my family. Luckily he had no money so he asked us for some. When we came to know the entire case we discouraged him. I asked if I could report this to cyber agency. But he wasn't convinced and he started avoiding us. Atlast, not having enough money actually saved him. What an irony!
