Oh my gosh, what an amazing pilot that's going to be a tough act to follow. John, great job. Great build Dave. Great flight. Antonio and thanks for buying it. John 😂😅🤣
Great video. I liked the comments on high rates and tweak expo. Trying to work into that. I will watch again to figure out how he determined it was nose heavy for him.
During knife edge he had to hold more rudder than he liked for level ke flight. Moving the batteries back would allow less rudder for level ke flight and give more tail authority--which is important to 3D guys like this.
At this size is a carbon prop really lighter? I would expect they are heavier? would like to know actual weights, which most places don't post in specs.
My Avian 120 forbids the use of an auxiliary battery in the manual. It has two leads for the BEC. It claims the third battery is unnecessary. What do you think about this?
great video. I've been watching your videos since you're were out west flying eagle tree vector planes. I have a question , I want to buy a 3d plane either from extreme or PA, preferably a PNP or RXR, I have 20 plus years of experience flying warbirds and mainly Edfs, recently I'm practicing a lot of 3d flying on the simulator and I was wondering what plane do you recommend ? I would like one that is more floaty and forgiven , DO you mind pointing me to the right direction ?, I really appreciate . thank you
I think we discussed on the PJ tonight right? Twisted Hobby foamies are a good place to start with 3D, but if you want balsa, I'd check on a 60' Edge 540. Good starting point.
Not much. This one flies for about 6m using 2x6s4k. You're going down in both voltage and capacity, so amperage goes up while your 'gas tank' goes down. My 70" slick flies with 6s6200 and it is on the low end of acceptable to me for flight time.
Awesome. Is the parts list and setup in a video or posted on discord? If I wanted to assemble this exact plane has the complete list been posted? ESC, motor, servos, battery etc?
No. The motor is pre-production. The ESC is first time use (ZTW Mantis G2 130a), and since I didn't fly it, I didn't link it. Batteries are always Liperior. In this case 2x6s5000 75c. Servos are KST X20-4208. Xoar 22x10. Receiver is Radiomaster ER6 and I used a PDB from servo city.
Thank for the stick time John! Had a good time out there!
Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Truly a pleasure to watch you do your thing.

I've got my work cutout, that's for sure :) Gotta step it up I guess.
👍🙂
Very interesting to get the team pilots expert view and insights to trimming etc. Thanks for another great video!
You're very welcome. Thank you for the kind comment.
Love getting a pros advice on set up. Damm he's a good pilot 👏 👌 😊
No doubt!

That was really Amazing flying , A great Show, The guys from extreme flight are very nice . and the airplane is gorgeous.
Amen 100% agree.
Hi, not sure if it was mentioned in the video but how much did this whole set up weigh?
Awesome .. Exciting having edgetx and elrs for fixed wing!. Thanks for the great content
You're welcome. Thanks for the kind comment.
Nice flight and plane! That's really how all maidens should be done! 🙃

Wow very impressive. Thank you as always for a great informative video. Would you mind sharing your build, (Motor, esc, Servos) Thank you
Just great!
Right? Antonio is an amazing pilot.

I think I'd find a different ESC.
It's designed specifically to not require additional components. They did spark a revolution with 2.4@@RCVideoReviews
you were right. the ESC started smoking and I quickly disconnected it and sent it back.@@RCVideoReviews

@@RCVideoReviewsyes sir , thank you
Great video! BTW what's the airplane on the back at the end of the video? The one covered with a white cloth
That's an EF 67" Extra 260 RxR under the EF Solar Shield for 60-70" planes.
Nice flight. Really appreciate the "light acrobatics" concept ! Tell Antonio to come back for a real strong acrobatics demo !!! :-D
Watch the last video I just posted. You'll get it.
Awesome maiden
Agreed
I would like to see a video of the Blue and cub yellow Raven. It looks like the colors will pop in the air
Antonio CRUSHED it! What motor were you using?
AM780 from tmotor.
Amazing plane and flying. Let me ask you how much time can I expect with two 4S 3000mah each in series? The motor is a 35cc equivalent. 73" AJ Raven

your 70" slick uses one or two six cells?@@RCVideoReviews
should I go with two 5k 6 cells?
What motor are you running in this plane? Power looked incredible..
It's a pre-production 40cc T-Motor. Not available retail just yet.
Nice airplane and flying.
Thanks. Great day all around.

@@RCVideoReviews thanks for the reply. I appreciate all your hard work and great content.
@@RCVideoReviews thanks, I heard 6S. But I didn't know if it was one or two. Sounds like Antonio would've gone for a lighter pair of batteries.
Would've liked to seen the canopy off, to see where the batteries were located.
May I ask what did he have set up for expo and rates?
No rates. 100% throw with 70% on elevator and aileron, 65% on rudder.
I am sorry, I asked the question before I watched the video all the way to the end in which it was discussed 😖😉 @@RCVideoReviews
SWEET AIRPLANE and yes max rates always🤨
Yeah, beautiful plane. Love it.
Did Antonio make you do a check ride before he handed it back to you? 😅
:)
