Absolutely mate. Hardest part of riding on a grotty day is getting out of the house in the first place. When you have got past that hurdle, wet rides are just as enjoyable as dry ones. Not that it’s often dry in the Lakes of course 😢
Thanks mate. Definitely need to show you the one big descent you haven’t ridden yet as it’s a beauty. Think Christian might be swearing on the hike-a-bike bit though 😂
Thanks mate, the trails on this one are fantastic. Yep, pretty wet on this day but then, being the Lakes, they're wet most of the time. It was the wet grass that was the biggest challenge 😃
do not need apologies for recording the same route twice, three times or more. when i watch my football team win 4-0, it doesn't mean i will get the same result the next season. as long as you enjoy the route, you entertain and inspire us, we can't complain. great ride, great footage, great day.
Thanks mate. I used to think that I should try and ride somewhere new every week for the sake of the videos but realised early on this year that I don’t want a silly UA-cam channel to dictate where I ride. I ride my bike because I love it and as such, go where I want to go and then film. May cost me in views and subs but to be honest, it’s about the ride and not some self-perceived success on PooTube 😂
@@Stopadoodledoo i would rather watch an honest channel, where the love of the choosen activity is evident. mst people do the same in everyday life. not many people who haven't been on holiday somewhere and never returned. just stay honest to yourself. if you start to dislike your sport because of the need to ride somewhere you don't want to, you lose the love.
@@garymartin557 absolutely mate, and I never wanted (or want) to be a channel which does route guides, partly because I often follow my nose rather than a route. Other channels do that and do it well. Saying that, next week’s video is of the Gwydir Mawr (Marin) trail but as I am sure you can imagine, it’s not going to be like a review of the place. Well, not in the traditional sense anyway 😂
It really is, especially if you ignore the 'classic' trails. Clappersgate, although short, is probably one of my favourite trails of all time. So much fun and always a challenge to get down cleanly; there's so much that could catch you out!
@@junglebro1873 I have been to the summit a few times and taken the trails down towards the tarn (Bottom burner is an ‘interesting’ one). Not done the one to the caves as I always assumed it would be a bit of a marsh from looking at the topography
Was a bloody great ride mate. Hardest part of rainy rides is getting yourself out of the door in the first place I reckon. Once you're out, it's just as much fun 😃👍
Another cracking video there mate. Your getting more rides in up here than me & I live here :D I'm off until the 4th Jan now for xmas so I'm hoping to level that out. As for the footpath riding, i'll keep my comments to myself as they will just deteriorate into bad language, lets just say i'm of the same opinion as you.
Thanks Steve and yeah, to say I live in Chester, I do spend a fair bit of time riding in the Lakes. Prior to UA-cam back in 2019, I think I did 9 consecutive weekend rides up there 😂 As for footpaths, I try wherever possible now to not name them but have no intention of stopping riding them. Again, every single person we met (on footpath or bridleway) seemed more than happy to be sharing a day out in the fells with us 👍
Great ride in challenging conditions. Added a few more skills to my riding on those wet rocks and trails. If I can ride that in those conditions. Can ride anything. Nice line down that rocky bit below Alcock. Will try that next time. You should have kept it in. You know what I’m talking about 😂😂
I reckon it was a far better ride than any of us expected, given the conditions. You rode really well mate, your progression on rocky trails is through the roof, especially as it was pretty wet. The line I took on that rocky bit on Alcock works well (although you drop off it over some chunky rocks and then have to make quite the turn) but needs a bit of commitment as to get it wrong would be painful 😂
Crazy wet conditions, still looked fun and good seeing Andy loving these rides as well 😀 You chose the right trails for the day, as hardly any trees down, in fact was it just the one you came across? Recognised a few of the places you rode as well 😊 great video mate as always. Hopefully get another ride in before Xmas 🤞
Yeah, the weather was a bit grim at times but only what you expect from Cumbria in winter really (as you know 😀). Seeing Andy’s transformation to this kind of riding is fantastic; again, there were bits he rode that he himself said he would have walked a few short months ago. Real shame you couldn’t make this one (my fault from it being a Saturday rather than Sunday), sure we will get out again before or over Christmas though mate 👍
Excellent as per usual👌
Thanks mate. This was another great day out, despite the weather. It’s only water after all 😀
A great example, of enjoying biking.. regardless of the conditions! It's all about the fun!

Another belter mate, slightly moist and trees jumping out at you... All happening! 🤣👍🏻
Thanks mate. Yeah, this one was rather wet to say the least; my FiveTens still haven't dried out 😂
Great video, i recognise most of that from our previous visits, cracking loop 👍

Great vid & riding. Totally agree riding in the wet is fun. It's a different kind of riding that I look forward to, not fast fast but sketchy fun 👍
Thanks mate and yeah, riding in the rain is a laugh. Don't get me wrong, I prefer it when it isn't raining; I'm not mental 😂😂
Top class as always Jason👍 we need another group ride garburn was great proper little lakes adventure. Highlight of 2021 for me
Thanks mate, will definitely get another group ride organised for the New Year. Just got to hope Boris let’s us play out 😂
Fantastic ride and nice trail. The view is beautiful, but the trail is pretty wet. Great work and nice riding buddy. Ride on
