Sorry, but you are mistaken! Dave Flett didn't play on this album, Mick Rodgers did. He combined singing and guitar playing. It's just for your information. Flett joined MMEB later in 1976 and played on 2 albums "Roaring silence" and "Watch". However, I agree with you that Dave Flett was a great guitarist too!
At 74 Manfred one of the best bands, everything I listen to this album it does something to my soul.. where has all this music gone... so many people will never hear these great tracks.. sad.. sad..sad..

Manfred Mann ist ein richtig guter. Seine Stücke haben mehr Tiefe und gehen mehr rein in die Seele des Menschen. Jeder empfindet es aber anders. Wir haben damals die Augen beim Tanzen einfach geschlossen gehalten und sind richtig abgefahren dabei. Das war schon wie eine Meditation. Bei Stücke von Springsteen geht das überhaupt nicht. I first heard this on KAAY 10.90 AM Little Rock..... We'd drive out in the country, in northern Illinois, and pull over by a corn field where we could receive the channel. Drinking beers and wine.... It was like going to another world. Songs that couldn't play on daytime radio, and this was our favorite. It is still one of the greatest covers I have heard :-)

About 35 years ago I met Manfred and his Band after a Concert in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart in their Hotel - we have had a lot of fun, playing Flipper and helped the Bassist drinking his Whisky Bottle :) - very good times and very good people !!!

A good number of 20 somethings hear music like this and say they were born in the Wrong Time. They say how lucky I was to have grown up as a kid listening to all the cool 60's and 70's music. They are so jealous when I tell them of bands I saw live back in the 70's.

About 35 years ago I met Manfred and his Band after a Concert in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart in their Hotel - we have had a lot of fun, playing Flipper and helped the Bassist drinking his Whisky Bottle :) - very good times and very good people !!!

A good number of 20 somethings hear music like this and say they were born in the Wrong Time. They say how lucky I was to have grown up as a kid listening to all the cool 60's and 70's music. They are so jealous when I tell them of bands I saw live back in the 70's.

There was old blackwater pond down the holler from us. great place to party in the 70's. this song came and we started calling it Greasy lake. it's still called that today
