That one person who studied all the lines for Ruy Lopez: e m o t o i n a l d am a g e
corny ass comment
There is no emotional damage if you study Ruy Lopez. It is an opening with universal value tat will help you understand many very important concepts as long as you try to understand it and not memorise it. The guy who did the video has done nothing of the 2.
Excellent analysis. I love the reassuring refrain, "But that's not a problem because...."
Appreciate your kind words and support! 😊
what about 8.Bd5 before Qxd4 @@ChessSensei
Your presentation is as if I am playing a winning game by analyzing the pros and cons of each move in my mind wherein you are sitting and instructing me as a divine soulmate. Very eager to watch your other/further presentations.

I commend you, and thank you!
Nobody teaches this well!
Chess sensei validated by your comment, although sensei usually refers to martial arts teacher.
Yes I do felt and comment as you. Very admirable
I've been enjoying your opening theory videos! This was a take on the Ruy Lopez I had not seen before. I'd like to see a video on the Pirc if you feel inspired to make one.
Another great video, a keeper for sure
I Hope You’re still Doing good. Also your voice for these videos and how they’re formatted is amazing 😻

This is the best tutorial on the Spanish opening I've ever seen, absolutely fantastic, congrats, mate!
My first thought was that it must be a click bait title, but it fully delivered what it promised!
This guy is copying Remote Chess Academy ideas. This is the original video....ua-cam.com/video/fxImtfrMGI8/v-deo.html

@@ChessSensei and that's what distinguish you that you explain everything comes to your mind and comes to ours also ♥♥♥♥♥
Thank you for this in deph defense against the spanish. It usually doesnt bother me too much, but i feel like even with a equal position there is just more opportunity for white.
a most instructive defense tactics against the RUY LOPEZ BRAVO chess sendei channel!!!
Appreciate your kind words and support! 😊
as many times as I have viewed this video, I am amazed how deep the knowledge goes. Well done and thank you.

Now i can beat my friend who likes to do the Ruy Lopez >:)

Bro i Need You To Make a Video On Reti Opening...
I feel like its going to be great adding it to my repertoire
Your video is great!! Your explanation step by step is wonderful. I've been looking for a defense against Ruiz Lopez opening and you delivered an excellent presentation. My opponents get surprised when I move the d6 pawn. They take some time to answer the move.
In the first variation 5.d4, what would you do if White doesn't take the pawn on d4 with the queen and instead pushes the e4 pawn to e5? Would fianchetto the bishop on b7 or defend the f7 pawn moving the bishop to e6? Thank you.
Thanks, I know a decent amount of theory to get an equal position in the Ruy Lopez, however I don't like the resulting position as it's more tactically rich for white. This video will be going in my repertoire against the Ruy Lopez.
Good luck in your future games! 🌟
Actually 5.0-0 Bg4?! 6.h3 h5?! is a very dubious idea, suitable only for speed chess. 7.d4! as in the recent game Cheparinov- Kovalev, Sharjah Masters 2023, is very strong (and Dzindzi-style, not mentioned at all in the video).
Either 5...b5 6.Bb3 Nf6, which will likely transpose to regular Ruy Lopez lines, or 5...Bd7 with a slightly passive but very solid position, are the moves to play as Black.
You know how to play @user-ig8qd4tt7b
Thats the line called "The fishing pole trap". Play that sucker line and give white a tempo. Those type of traps work great for U1400 players, but will never work on 1800+ players.
Very good and informative video. Thanks
great video, thanku
Excellent video!
Very good explanation 👏 👌 👍
Thanks for the support! 🙌
As someone who favors playing the Spanish opening, this is very useful for learning what to watch out for.
Even english is not your tongue, though you explained nicely in very simple way. It doest cover everything, and cant be covered in 20 minute video. But what is explained in 20 minutes, is really cool.
Just thank you. I face this opening too many times. Even more than Italian game. I’ll put this video to good use.
Best of luck in your games! 🌟
@@ChessSensei thank you!
Now that i’ve watched and studied, my opponents will never play this opening 🤣
this will more than likely work against a patzer like me, but I don't think it will be quite so effective against higher rated, better prepared opponents.
Wonderful sharing bro..
Awesome video!!!!! Kings Indian next please!!!!
Very nice explain
"And now the opponent can't play this move"
My 200 elo opponent: Hold my beer!
Hi, first of all thnx for for video. But I think Ruy Lopez is an solid opening, when played correctly. The lines showing white make mistakes and bad moves. Example, 5. Nxe5? In exchange variation. Also in Columbus variation, 5.d4?!. Why? And even worse, move 8. Qxd4?? A blunder, it's unlikely a good Lopez player make that move. I think every opening can be crushed when opponent blunders.
Hi, thanks for the comment and insights! You're right that when played correctly, the Ruy Lopez is indeed a solid opening.
However, please bear in mind that our content is mostly tailored for beginner-intermediate players. In our videos, we showcase the moves and variations that are most commonly played by an average player, as indicated by the Lichess database. For instance, 5. d4 is actually the third most played option, as shown in the screenshot in the video. Similarly, 8. Qxd4 is by far the most frequently played move according to the database. While advanced players might avoid these lines, it's important for our audience to be aware of them and know how to respond. Appreciate your perspective, and hope you continue to enjoy our content! 👍
Thanks alot
16:09 white actually can move the knight Ng5 as it is protected by the bishop and blocks Qh4. In this case to continue the attack black can play Qh6 but white defends with Nh3, discovery attack on queen. If Qh7, Qxg4 and black loses the attack with white queen guarding the knight and white is just winning. If Qh5, guarding the pawn, white plays Be3 developing move as black cannot proceed with the attack. If gxh3, Qxh5, Rxh5 and the evaluation is equal.
I love your content😊
masterpiece , can you please make a video on how to beat veinna
Thanks for the suggestion! While we already have specific topics planned, we will definitely consider creating a video on how to beat the Vienna in the future.
Excellent! Excellent!! EXCELLENT!!!😇
Beautiful channel
Post more video sir. Like kings Indian defence as black and sicilian as black...
Impressive, i know a good trap against italian open, but opponents played the spanish open, now, i know how play. Thx
Glad it did help ❤️☺️
Sir Please post a video for opening theory discussion from any openings like gambits for black and white piece
We have plenty of gambits opening for both the White and Black pieces on our channel
nice sir
Very Awesome ♟️ lesson A ++ 😎👍
Appreciate your kind words and support! 😊
Alekhine Defense lessons next please!
Thanks for the suggestion! While we already have specific topics planned, we will definitely consider creating a video about the Alekhine Defense.
Tnx bro
By loving heart from Iran
❤️
Thanks for this video. But what if White castles after Bxc6 dxc6 in stead of taking pawn.. It seems than white is better off no?
After castling, Black can play Bg4 and the pin is very annoying for White as he doesn't have his light squared bishop anymore. Also, if White tries h3 to kick away the bishop on f4, Black can respond with h5 with similar ideas shown in the video.
White is okay. People play the exchange variant on all levels.
You sir, are over the top. Great job. May Jesus bless you and your entire family. WOW. Fantastic
80-90% of my opponents dont retreat the bishop, that sac it for my knight.
King gamebit all variation analyse please
I can answer the 3 questions...:
1. I don't have an over the board rating (but I've managed to overcome 2000 in online rapid games).
2. I've done 3 remote tutoring sessions till now (1 of them has to do with chess).
3. I've made some UA-cam videos in 2022.
Thx i hate playing against ruy lopez u really helped me
I LOVE your channel simply because you discuss every move possible! It's AMAZING!!👏👏👌
Can i please ask for the same "ruy lopez" opening but berlin defence. Thank you 👍
i SUBSCRIBED because of how amazing your channel is!
Thanks for your kind words! Since our content is mostly dedicated to beginner-intermediate players, I try my best to explain everything that comes to mind, even if it's a simple concept or move, in hopes that everyone can have a fun and easy time learning and improving their chess skills. Enjoy! 🌟
Would you like to see the Berlin Defense from the White or Black perspective?
@@ChessSensei Thanks for the reply!
I'd like it to be in black's perspective, i want to know about the trap (fishing pole and the other one), and what to do if they play otherwise (if they play the best move in that position or..)
Thank you!
Honestly, I don't know any main lines to counter the Ruy Lopez, so I just play the Jaenisch Gambit against it, since that one seems easier to remember.
Oh COME ON MAN WHY YOU HAVE TO RUIN THIS OPENING! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE OPENING BRUH!!!
Hehe yeh boiiiii
This is for you and me Ruy Lopez lovers to be better prepared
How can you master it if you don't know it's weaknesses.
Hahahaha!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Had to be someone though 🙃
Oops 🤭😂
1:01 please make the line if white plays Ng4.
Nice😊
Thanks 😊❤️
What about Bxc6 variation?!
3:27 , after b5 to attack the Bishop, what do you do if he does d5 to attack your knight?
Trading should be fine in that case as bishops usually worth more than knights and opponent lost centre space. Pawn can be recaptured after dxc5 with Ne2.
You know what ... you can become a very good Options Trader in the Stock Markets, as option trading strategies and fire fighting adjustments is very much like playing chess. 👍
Spanish opening is my opening. Question to chess sensei or anyone. Does the above defense work as well if you forceend game with queen exchange??? Anyone?
Can you do the KID?
0:44 after take the beshop, tons of players castling, what do you do after that?
Thank you for the efforts to empower black. Kudos. XoXo
1.e4 - e5
2.Nf3 - Nc6
3.Bb5 - a6
4.Ba4 - d6
5.d4 - b5
6.Bb3 - Nxd4
7.Nxd4 - exd4
8.what if white plays? 8.Bd5
I'd like, if possible, to speak with the one of the job offer.
What about 5. d3 what do we do then
What is your elo?
16:03 - Why not to capture bishop on g4? After black capture with a pawn on g4 and open the line for the rook - there is a move of white bishop to g5. And it looks like a problem. I don't see any way to check mate or somehow save the game.
Excellent tutorial regarding this opening so widely feared by black.
Glad you enjoyed it☺️❤️
Thanks ! But is still a long long long way from the ending.......
0:51 Who would capture that pawn? Besides, that pawn is weak now and you’d have to destroy your king side pawns to protect it. Which nobody would do.
bro just called one of the most played openings a mistake💀
2:30 it's not a bad move
Infact bobby Fischer played it quite a bit
3:30 ,what if white reply with pawn to d5 ???
New video pls
If I do Ruy Lopez opening I don’t retreat to A4,I will move to the Italian to C4. The theory behind this your controlling the middle while you just chased the bishop for no reason. I now have 3 pieces attacking the middle to your two and by the time you get 3 pieces I can have four pieces
Kartahai😊
You're the Kakashi of chess.
This is based solely if white doesmnot capture the knight after black plays d6
Excellent.
18:56 "Pawn to H2"😂
Guy, you don't know the Exchange Variation.
Nice tutorial Bro.. 😊😊😊
At line 1 the black can save his bishop by queenc4
charming voice 😇
You really sound like 7kdreamerplay
Most Important aspect of crushing the Ruy Lopez - NEVER play Fischer.
am now ready to face any Ruy Lopez players!
