I’ve always liked his dubbed voice with fusion like effect but I never understood why his voice was so inconsistent in games, in Xenoverse 2, he sounds like Syn Shenron when he’s clearly Omega while other games, he sounds accurate as seen here.

Is it because echo effect? I always prefer EN Omega over JP. He truly sounded like a final boss and the greatest threat to our heroes (until Super).
This one however, sounded inferior compared to the Syn and Shadow Dragons card.

Omega had a voice filter like this in the anime and some of the games in the 2000s-early 2010s (BT2-3 and UT). Xenoverse for some reason stopped adding the filter to him).

I found the English dub voice of omega shenron more threatening than it's Japanese dub where it sounded like an old man in a retirement home
No way. The English version is literally just when you're anonymously on TV and you want your voice to be unrecognizable. The Japanese one is just pure evil voice acting. Also Oemga moreso gives of the vibe of an old evil character rather than a younger sounding villain like Frieza.

The English version sounds like a power ranger daily villain using a filter. In the JP version he has his own voice and it does fit better since he looks like the "wise" one
