Jalil’s leadership is huge and we, like you said, don’t have that kind of experience left in the locker room at all much less that experience in the program. It will be fun to see who steps up. Someone always does
So agree on the PJ front. People writing guys off early is suck a jaded habit to get into. How many freshmen and sophomores start varsity at a top program in high school? Very few. You mature as a man and as a player the same way In college that you do in high school. PJ is 1 game into his sophomore season and with his god given talents how could anyone write the kid off already? Sure you would like him to be further along but he isn’t. Should chavis have him more ready? Not sure but a fair question. Especially when he doesn’t have any skins on the wall yet: Developmental programs develop.
I buy this 100% and I expect the light bulb to come on and his natural ability to take over. We get him up to 3 more years. Might as well see him improve.
Can't put everything on Chavis. I think when some of that older leadership in the DE room leave it'll force PJ to kinda wake up and takeover that position.
Also I think PJ is still growing and figuring out what all his body can do on a football field if that makes sense. I think he was only 6'2" his junior year in HS so he's grown alot so I think it's taking time for him to figure out things.
D Mack you know what you're talking about, but my man is getting fool by the eye candy 🍬. I think we're going to need about 1 or 2 more years b4 we're ready to get down. And I wish that Brent tell his players to stop celebrate so much when they make a play and start calm down and pay more attention to detail. Act like you have been there b4 STRICTLY BUSINESS
Barry's take on Pettaway doesn't make any sense..Pettaway was a true freshman last year...in comparison Jayden Gibson and Nic Anderson had 1 catch combined their true freshman seasons so to say that they showed something early on that Pettaway did not is crazy...Gibson and Anderson showed nothing their true freshman seanons but they developed into better players in their 2nd year which Pettaway has a chance to do as well
Take with Pettaway had far more to do with how he looked in action. His true fluidity and confidence as an athlete just left a lot to be desired. Jayden had a look to him that was obvious the youngster could move and ball.
I been said that Danny Stutsman was overrated and so is Billy Bowman. This is how I knew that we was in TROUBLE this year. I hope that some of theses others players can step up, and I don't trust Kobe Mckenzie that much either. And one more thing that I'm scared of is that this defense can be thrown on 31:28
Mr Mackey is the man. He was a dawg on the field. Blessed he's on the podcast
Good job.
Guys
Guys, I enjoy the "THRUTH, NO HOLDS BAR" approach yall take talking about the game.
I love Mackey. That 2000 team had so many dogs. I wonder if we can ever have that again. Go back and watch those games
I know you both are being transparent with us which I appreciate but danggg lol 😫😫😫😫
23:43 that's truth about Danny, I seen a few missed tackles.
And you can go back and watch the 2000 teams first game and watch Torrance and Rocky miss a few plays.
What I saw with Halton and Williams was that Jackson would get doubled and that opened up halton and vice versa.
D Mack! Rockin my number and dropped the dang ball!! 😡🤯😂🤣

Am I the only one that thinks this was basically the same episode from before?

I sure hope so. We'll need it. Kids gotta step up

@@bwisefitness25and yall said the same about Barnes last year and now look at him.

FRANKIE your About as smart as bevo...grow up wise or shut up...I said that... If i ever need a pawn...i will look you up!
Soo are you mad they're light skinned and white or what? Cuz that's literally the only reason you could dislike either of them as players?
