Glad you still have the silver! Keep em both! Think about the rust like this how many old muscle cars were rusted out or completely totaled only to be fixed 20 or 30 years later.
Also do a video on the wiring loom driver side kick panel lots of Evo owners have problems with it could be some good content water gets in and makes your wipers horn radio etc go crazy...
Thanks for explaining the part about the evo not even having an air filter. Mine is like that and I was confused when I was trying to change my cabin filter😂
cool vid, got an 03' with low miles and never looked in there...i'm 100% positive that it looks the same as the one with no provision for a filter on mine. So ill order the puralator one with the hardware, thanks for the vid post.
Issue that I have is I don’t feel much air coming from the vents , this video made me che k the filter and it was deff installed wrong and I correct that , but minimal air coming from the vents.
If the cabin filter you are installing says "UP" next to the arrows on the filter, it's simply telling us which side goes up. It does not indicate air flow direction. All horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow.
Thank you!!! You helped me a lot. I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer that has the cabin filter blocked off. I now have to cut into it to get a filter.
Thank you, you are a gem to the Evo community

That is a good way to think about it.

Thanks for the idea. I'll look into it.

Thanks. Both of these filters specifically had arrows indicating air flow direction.
Great video ! Thanks
You are welcome!
Are there any benefits to adding a cabin filter if you don't have one?
