[TEST DRIVE] Miranda drives the 2022 Chevy Equinox RS

The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox uses the 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder coupled with the 6-speed automatic transmission. Equipped with RS trim package, our Equinox sported red contrast stitching inside, as well as RS badging on the outside and black-our badging overall. Coupled with white paint, it’s a stellar look for the Equinox and one that will wear well. Now, of course, the RS is the top trim and the most expensive, but even at that the top MSRP price of the Equinox is still $6k less than the starting MSRP of the Blazer.

I drove both and bought the Equinox RS fully loaded and found that the blazer was the seats were smaller that the RS. Much more head room even with the sunroof version that we have. If you have the 3.6 in the blazer the fuel mileage will be night and day. The blazer isnt that fuel efficient. To go around town and occasional trip we have found this Equinox to be more than adequate. The features compared to others in that class are way better in the RS than say the Honda CRV and HRV.

I was looking to buy a 2022 Blazer until I saw the Equinox RS. Im getting a fully loaded Equinox for the same price I was going to pay for a base model Blazer.

I bought this vehicle in Red, it will be available to me May 31st. 4:50 This is something GM has done for a long time. My last car was a 2007 Saturn Outlook, Identical to a GMC Acadia, same engine, same body style,Interior may have been slightly better in the GMC but the Saturn MSRP was $30,000 and the GMC was over $40,000. I think it's more about the branding. Now that GM eliminated Old's, pontiac and Saturn the only brands they have to compete with each other are Chevy, Buick and GMC.

Omg nice video. Thanks so much for doing this. From a women perspective. can you tell me exactly the RS package You have. I definitely would like same one but I notice the radio system are different in some but I prefer the one you have. I was considering getting the 2022 terrain.

I love this vehicle, I want one. I think the interior in the Blazer feels like hard plastic.

Okay I have the 2022 Chevy equinox RS edition in black black on black and if you actually look in front of the shifter where she has that little cloth covering it there will find a button with the letter p and a triangle which is your parking assist or passing assist for your sensors and there's a button directly in front of the shifter that says AWD if you are in park while the car is on and you push that AWD button you now and will either disengage or engage the all-wheel drive function so you can go to two-wheel drive which in two-wheel drive I'm getting 40 miles to the gallon on the highway going back and forth to work cuz I drive back and forth work on the highway just off the highway to get on it just on the highway to get off work if I drive to work with the all-wheel drive engag ed I get 30 to 34 mi to the gallon depending on how fast I'm going

V6 will have better towing abilities. Reading the manual, blazer can tow 6,000 lbs. Equinox with a smaller engine can only handle 1,500 lbs.
