I bought the DX frog rod during Black Friday Sale a couple years ago. The only issue I have is the butt section is too long. I’m constantly hitting either my side or bicep which causes the bait to foul on retrieve. Shorten the butt, and extend the tip to keep it 7’4”, or make an additional model for us short people…
Wish these came out about 2 months ago when I was looking for a new frog rod. I really like the tip on this one. I went with the kage which is wonderful but this tip seems more whipable
Wish you would've explained the differences, if any, between last gen and this. Do they have the same reel seats? You say you didn't like the last gen 7'3 glass for chatterbaits. But what about the new version? Are these the same weight as the last gen?
Great questions. The 7’5” Glass Reaction Bait Rod is the new version of the 7’3”, and has a faster taper and more power. It also has an updated glass construction that decreases the overall weight and we changed the reel seat to a Daiwa reel seat as opposed to the previous version which had the Fuji reel seat. Hope this clarifies! - TW Staff

it would be easy to cut down, i think the idea is to have the butt in the armpit for more torque for bigger bass in heavier cover.

Rods look great. Nice work you guys!
“For sure” 1000x
This Jeff guys sounds like a real Hawg King
Correction, no exposed blank by the trigger. Same as Tatula XT.
I have one of the old ones hiding in a corner somewhere.
I’ve learned my lesson on buying rods under $200.
I am contemplating if I should buy a rod from lew's or the daiwa bottom contact rod, how sensitive are the bottom contact rods
Lew’s stuff is garbage
Ned rod and open water and cover drop shot rod.
Let’s see a jerkbait rod in the mix. But not too long. Like a 6’10” or something.

@@TackleWarehouse Appreciate it! So would you not recommend the new 7'3 glass as a chatterbait rod?
We would recommend the 7'5" for Chatterbaits.
@@TackleWarehouse Ok, thnaks for the reply. That's a little longer than I like for throwing Chatterbaits.

Hey guys is anyone still at daiwa that has been there since the mid 90s that could research a specific rod tds crankbait rod ?
The model you had in your hand was not a guide showing reel seat.
You need some shorter rods. 7'3 is the shortest.
Awesome! Wish I could shop/see them in person. How do I make that happen?93306
