The way he takes kids seriously when they talk, gives out cards, doesn't scam them and at times he even found stuff he needed is great. The worst thing in the world when you are a kid is adults that treat you like a nuisance or don't take you seriously
dude! i don't even collect pokemon (i collect magic the gathering sets), but i just watched a four and a half hour long video of dozens if not hundreds of people coming together to reach a shared goal and cried when jackson found the flittle. this was awesome! i am so happy it worked out. the community aspect of this project is wonderful. great job everyone!

@ClubOtaku that's awesome. And collecting lands is also nothing to sneeze at. With only different arts basic lands alone come to over 1700 cards, with every printing you're looking at 4000 cards. That's some pretty solid numbers for "just lands" 😊

I am 53 year old newly leg amputee in Asheville, North Carolina. I have been really enjoying your channel friend. I have watched all of the individual segments and now half way through the four plus hour journey. Its fun to see all the excited kids and adults having fun while pitching in with the work. I hope to one day open some packs but living in a rehabilitation facility makes it rough monetarily and getting transportation is also tough. It just filled me with such emotion, brilliant video, brilliant journey we got to experience with you Pat. I’m more into Lorcana, and about a year ago, I started a collection with the goal of owning all the blue and gray cards, four copies of each, so I could someday build any kind of deck based on those two colors. I abandoned that collection for a while because I got discouraged when I realized I was missing several cards from past sets, and practically every four months, a new set comes out with a lot of new cards. But a few months ago, I found your channel and started watching videos like the ones about collecting all 1,025 Pokémon. Those videos really motivated me to continue my collection. After watching them, I’m now between 70%-80% of completing the collection. I just need the most expensive cards of each color and a few that are a bit harder to find. Without those videos, my collection would have stayed stuck forever, so thank you for recording those moments. I love your videos! Even though I only play Pokémon on consoles and not in TCG, your videos might actually inspire me to dive into the TCG world someday. It seems like the community is pretty awesome.

Is it normal that i tear up watching this video? I'm, as of writing, at 45:00 Minutes and seeing all those people handing out their cards just for the love of the hobby. It made me emotional (I'm also severly depressed, that might be a reason too.) and was great to see the joy in everyone. I just found the channel today and probalby binge a lot of it.
As someone who has been a lifelong Pokemon fan who just got into the TCG a couple months ago, I can honestly say imo Pat has one of the few sub-communities in this hobby that are genuinely awesome. Theres so many scammers, scalpers, and resellers that have taken advantage of my lack of experience in the TCG and it honestly made me want to quit. This guy and Coop are the two guys that have given me hope for the Pokemon TCG community

This is the series that got me back into Pokemon. Woke up sick 1 day to the point were standing up made me dizzy so I put UA-cam on and the first video in my recommended was the first episode that I ended up watched all the videos. You’re a maniac for doing this…in a good way! For a future video I suggest getting as many extended art display cases for your collection as possible. Then when you get as many as you can hang them up in your room. These extended displays actually shows a larger picture. Some of these also run into other card arts!!! It’s fantastic. They also have extended arts for graded slabs too!

I started collecting and playing pokemon when I was 15 in 1995. I’ve played all the hand held games and been a part of the community since then. This is the single most amazing representation of why we collect and play pokemon and other tcgs. The friends we make, along the way. That's what my TCGdex collection is. Every Pokemon and all available forms. The only card type I'm not including is tag teams so I have some fan made cards to fill out the megas
I don't collect Pokémon cards but this video was amazing to watch. It's refresing to see someone who doesn't care about the value of some trades, just to finish their collection. This is the truly way of collecting, bonding with people and making others/yourself happy .
I sat here playing TCG Card Shop Simulator and listened/watched this entire video, and I also watched the entire thing for the premier. What an amazing adventure! What's next? All full art cards for every pokemon that's available? All first edition for the ones that have first editions? I cannot wait for the next video! I don't usually comment on videos because I get very nervous but I want to talk about how ABSOLUTELY insane this is to be collecting the whole 1,025 pokemon. I don't know how you popped up on my recommended, but I saw and this whole thing got me back into collecting pokemon cards again after not collecting in over a decade. I actually downloaded the google sheet and checking all of the cards that I have, I only need 295 pokemon left in total out of the 1,025. Thank you for bringing so much joy with your content (im a 22 year old college graduate who is collecting pokemon cards again lol)!

The two Pokémon fail in gen 4 was so intense. Frank & son is so nostalgic for me, I used to go with my dad when I was younger over the years as I switched through Pokémon, followed by yugioh, then magic. There’s definitely no where to sit and the food cart is very hit or miss haha
you inspired me to start my own gigabinder. but i have to use only regular cards. those with the pokedex number listed for the pokemon, ie no 'strong' cards or full arts or illustration rares. its been fun. 10 left.
I'm doing the opposite, I'm going for a full art/half art only, and if the cards don't have a full art/half art, it has to be the oldest card they are have
I'd love to do it as well with only regular cards just to use them for something because everyone just shows off the big hits but some regular cards have kick ass art

I wanted to thank you for this wonderful and nerve-wracking video. I'm from Germany and my last project was actually to get the 151 together. After I stopped at some point because it became a bit too intensive and expensive, this video made me want to start collecting cards again. My nephew is big into Pokemon so I decided to start myself to have something to bond with him. After seeing you do collections that was my goal. Starting with Sword and Shield sets I've got three at 40% and any double I can keep and trade with my nephew. We are trying to go to Collect-A-Con this year to get even deeper in the Pokemon Universe. Thank you for your videos they are fun to watch and show how to set a goal and push forward and never give up.

I sat here and was just listening to most of this but the last hour i was watching, and it reminded me why i loved pokemon to begin with. I dont live in a massive card community area, we have 2 card shops within a very long winded radius, but it reminded me when i was little and would attend stuff like this. I was yelling "WAIT I HAVE THAT CARD!" to some of the rarer ones (Munchlax, Bonsley, and mostly the gen 2-5 cards that came to the wire), and it just reminded me there is phenomenal people in the world. You are truly a wonderful person for bringing people closer, thank you :)

Just watched through the whole thing; loved every second of it. And I especially loved the epilogue where Chad is finally completed :3 I’ve been working on a Pokedex binder myself… been working on it almost 4 years now but definitely got a boost when I moved to Texas… Kanto and Johto are done; Hoenn is in the last 7. As of this moment, 214 out of 1025 Pokemon stand between me and a complete pokedex as well. And I only know that thanks to your excel sheet; it works miracles. This proves that it can be done. I've never played Pokemon. I've never done the card game, the video games, never watched the animated series or movies. The length of this calculated by my self by adding the time of all episodes is around 272 minutes and 30 seconds or 4 hours 32 minutes and 30 seconds. Since there is a new ending it will be likely longer.
I do not collect nor watch Pokémon, I originally found this on TikTok, then looked for you on UA-cam and watched the whole thing. At times I laughed. I cried. I cringed at dad jokes and would slap my hand when you were getting close to the time. Awesome to see community and people come together.

This was so so fun, and it inspired me to sort my own collection!! I've been going for a completed Pokedex for a while (I've been collecting on and off for 20 years now), but I actually went through my bulk, set up my binders with cards for the ones I'm missing, created a Google Doc to keep track of it all...mostly while this video played in the background! Though my Google Doc is a little wilder lol, I split it by gen and have running tallies of how many cards I have and what percentage complete each gen is, plus the same for the natdex - but I am fully a spreadsheet nerd. :P Super super fun, thank you for sharing!
I have finally finished the video, wonderful job on the video as always. I am not into collecting the Pokémon cards, but I am working on a living dex in the Pokémon games and know how it feels to finally find someone who has that little friend that you need. I’m more into Lorcana, and about a year ago, I started a collection with the goal of owning all the blue and gray cards, four copies of each, so I could someday build any kind of deck based on those two colors. I abandoned that collection for a while because I got discouraged when I realized I was missing several cards from past sets, and practically every four months, a new set comes out with a lot of new cards. But a few months ago, I found your channel and started watching videos like the ones about collecting all 1,025 Pokémon. Those videos really motivated me to continue my collection. After watching them, I’m now between 70%-80% of completing the collection. I just need the most expensive cards of each color and a few that are a bit harder to find. Without those videos, my collection would have stayed stuck forever, so thank you for recording those moments.
I love your videos! Even though I only play Pokémon on consoles and not in TCG, your videos might actually inspire me to dive into the TCG world someday. It seems like the community is pretty awesome.

Is it normal that i tear up watching this video? I'm, as of writing, at 45:00 Minutes and seeing all those people handing out their cards just for the love of the hobby. It made me emotional (I'm also severly depressed, that might be a reason too.) and was great to see the joy in everyone. I just found the channel today and probalby binge a lot of it.

As someone who has been a lifelong Pokemon fan who just got into the TCG a couple months ago, I can honestly say imo Pat has one of the few sub-communities in this hobby that are genuinely awesome. Theres so many scammers, scalpers, and resellers that have taken advantage of my lack of experience in the TCG and it honestly made me want to quit. This guy and Coop are the two guys that have given me hope for the Pokemon TCG community
Now you just need to update/upgrade every card in Chad to the rarest that exists.
Rarest would an insane amount of money but it would be cool to have them upgrades to cards like SIRs, MegaEx, Vmax, Vstar and stuff like that

This is the series that got me back into Pokemon. Woke up sick 1 day to the point were standing up made me dizzy so I put UA-cam on and the first video in my recommended was the first episode that I ended up watched all the videos. Your energy and love for the community is absolutely amazing! Thank you Pat for inspiring me and my family to start learning, collecting, and playing the game (something I never learned as a kid)

You’re a maniac for doing this…in a good way! For a future video I suggest getting as many extended art display cases for your collection as possible. Then when you get as many as you can hang them up in your room. These extended displays actually shows a larger picture. Some of these also run into other card arts!!! It’s fantastic. They also have extended arts for graded slabs too!

This is the single most amazing representation of why we collect and play pokemon and other tcgs. The friends we make, along the way. That's what my TCGdex collection is. Every Pokemon and all available forms. The only card type I'm not including is tag teams so I have some fan made cards to fill out the megas
I don't collect Pokémon cards but this video was amazing to watch. It's refresing to see someone who doesn't care about the value of some trades, just to finish their collection. This is the truly way of collecting, bonding with people and making others/yourself happy .

I don't usually comment on videos because I get very nervous but I want to talk about how ABSOLUTELY insane this is to be collecting the whole 1,025 pokemon.
I don't know how you popped up on my recommended, but I saw and this whole thing got me back into collecting pokemon cards again after not collecting in over a decade. I actually downloaded the google sheet and checking all of the cards that I have, I only need 295 pokemon left in total out of the 1,025. Thank you for bringing so much joy with your content (im a 22 year old college graduate who is collecting pokemon cards again lol)!

The two Pokémon fail in gen 4 was so intense. Frank & son is so nostalgic for me, I used to go with my dad when I was younger over the years as I switched through Pokémon, followed by yugioh, then magic. There’s definitely no where to sit and the food cart is very hit or miss haha

you inspired me to start my own gigabinder. but i have to use only regular cards. those with the pokedex number listed for the pokemon, ie no 'strong' cards or full arts or illustration rares. its been fun. 10 left.

My nephew is big into Pokemon so I decided to start myself to have something to bond with him. After seeing you do collections that was my goal. Starting with Sword and Shield sets I've got three at 40% and any double I can keep and trade with my nephew. We are trying to go to Collect-A-Con this year to get even deeper in the Pokemon Universe. Thank you for your videos they are fun to watch and show how to set a goal and push forward and never give up.
What I like about your videos is how some kid always seems to make off like a bandit. It really shows your love for the Pokémon community. Even though you have all the hype and followers you continue to give back even when you are on a time crunch. Keep up the great work!

I sat here and was just listening to most of this but the last hour i was watching, and it reminded me why i loved pokemon to begin with. I dont live in a massive card community area, we have 2 card shops within a very long winded radius, but it reminded me when i was little and would attend stuff like this. I was yelling "WAIT I HAVE THAT CARD!" to some of the rarer ones (Munchlax, Bonsley, and mostly the gen 2-5 cards that came to the wire), and it just reminded me there is phenomenal people in the world. You are truly a wonderful person for bringing people closer, thank you :)

I don't collect Pokémon, I haven't played any Pokémon games, and I probably have had only 10 Pokémon cards ever in my life and they were basically all energy cards. I've never played Pokemon. I've never done the card game, the video games, never watched the animated series or movies. Still, I watch your shorts, I watch FOUR HOURS of you trying to build a collection. It's really making me want to get into it. Also, just the community of people like "Hey, i got these, use them" and then ask for nothing in return.

This was so so fun, and it inspired me to sort my own collection!! I've been going for a completed Pokedex for a while (I've been collecting on and off for 20 years now), but I actually went through my bulk, set up my binders with cards for the ones I'm missing, created a Google Doc to keep track of it all...mostly while this video played in the background! Though my Google Doc is a little wilder lol, I split it by gen and have running tallies of how many cards I have and what percentage complete each gen is, plus the same for the natdex - but I am fully a spreadsheet nerd. :P Super super fun, thank you for sharing!
