There’s a detail you missed. When Lelouch and C2 were in that cave, Lelouch found her abnormal self healing body. But when C2 asked him to say her name with feelings, he understands one of the truth about C2 and has no more interest of what she truly is, what differs her from normal person. YES, I believe the feeling was mutual. They started as accomplices and only cared about their personal goals, but eventually, they ended up having a strong bond, which it's the result of sharing a lot of time together. I love this ship so much because the romance is not the typical lovey-dovey, in fact, it was depicted in a deeper way. Their love was represented through those little details like C.C protecting and comforting Lelouch, even killing people she didn't want to prove her loyalty. On the other hand, I know re;surrection is a different timeline but I think the staff in a way wanted to make them official because they felt their relationship status in the original series was unresolved. And to conclude my favorite moments are: 1) When Lelouch said he didn't know why snow is white but he thinks it's beautiful, it was such an intimate moment because he saw her in a vulnerable state, and in a way, he wanted to comfort her by telling her that he accepts her. 2) The last scene of episode 15 season 1, when they are talking about Mao and she asked him: "are you comforting me, pity me, or is it part of your obsession?" He avoided answering those questions and proposed a new contract, which makes me guess he didn't want to admit he was getting attached and to confirm it, when she attempted to leave him he tried to cast a geass on her with "stay by my side" if he really cared about what she knew about him, he could try to command her to forget that he is zero instead. 3) "If you are a witch then I will become a warlock"
Thanks for commenting I really appreciate it. Their bond of caring for each other overcame their bond of the contract. I love your point on their romance. There are more than ways to show your love. The fact that it's not a typical lovey-dovey romance makes it more believable. Your theory on Lelouch of the Re;surrection is spot on. One of my favorite details, on the whole sequence where he responded the "why snow is white" question, is that at first he was still suspicious of her, he even was planing on taking her blood to analyse. But after hearing her, he decided to discard the blood. My understanding of the moment being that, at this point, he decided to accept her as a person rather than some incomprehensible creature (Also deciding to try trusting her).
I agree 100%. CC's original guess didn't actually give her what she wanted which was to be loved sincerely and genuinely since it twisted people's free will and forced them to love her. With Lelouch, it was different because he was the first person to truly love, accept, and want to be with her of his own free will and by his own choice. I also love this ship because Lelouch and CC don't gush over each other, but its quite obvious that they do love each other. The gushing and over the top lovey-dovey is exactly why I despise the Kirito and Asuna pairing in Sword Art Online. Lelouch and CC showed affection for each other without any of that and that's why I adore them as a pair so much.

What I loved about their relationship is how they can confide in each other without holding back as well as come to a mutual understanding. And best of all, I liked it that Lelouch and CC don't gush over each other but it is pretty clear that they're in love or eventually fall in love at some point in the story. After much thinking my favourite interraction beetween Lelouch and CC is when in turn 15 Lelouch says that he'll make her smile and that he knows her geass, her true wish. Also Lelouch making CC realizing she cares about him by asking her why she is sparing him of an eternity of suffering is a good way to develop their relationship and one of the reasons that scene is so good. To me this moment is a turning point because her one wish that Lelouch promised to fulfill when he received the geass changed. By that point she did not wanted to die anymore, she wanted to be loved by Lelouch.
well said it was the turning point where C.C. realized what she really wanted in life. It was not to die but to be loved. And Lelouch was the one to help her through this.
Lelouch even had indirect proposal with C.C. which she accepts at the end of the movie. Lelouch finding his own reason to live since he’s back and alive calling himself L.L. which was cool and became a married couple with C.C.
Yes she definitely had a thing for Lelouch. If you go back and watch the part where lelouch and Suzaku declare that lelouch is the next emperor, you can clearly see how bad C.C. Feels about it because she probably already knows what lelouch‘s plan is. Also, I think that she only said she doesn’t know, whether she loves lelouch or not, because she was 700+ years old and had probably already forgotten what it feels like to love somebody. Living for that long probably makes you close off your heart to feelings like that as loosing the people you love because they can die und you can’t makes you cold. She has always been my favorite female anime character because of that. Being 700+ years old and still choosing love over your biggest desire (to die) shows how great of a person she actually is.
Lelouch is a character so complex and with so many faces that he make sense with the 3 of CC, Kallen and Shirley. He have characteristics that perfectly match with each one of them. And in their own way I believe that each of them love him at a point. Legendary protagonist !!
yeah, that's true and those different faces draw each of the girls to him. What's interesting is that by the end-all all of the girls loved Lelouch for himself. Lelouch was definitely a renaissance man.
@@MyMediaChops 100% agree. I dont like people telling that Shirley only love Lelouch Lamperouge and that Kallen only love Zero. Both girls learned to love the true Lelouch. Shirley when she learned of his fathers death and keep loving him. And in Kallen case in the last scene she has a photo of Lelouch NOT of Zero. CC relationship is more complex but she keep living for Lelouch. She always wanted to die but decide to live for Lelouch. At the end all of them love him.
Due to my obsession of CC x Lelouch way back 2009. I have almost read all fan made stories and will discountinue if its Kallen or Shirley ends up w/ Lelouch. 🤣 I just loved CC and I don't care if her age is 700+. I just stopped after 2013. Ya know Puberty 🤣. I truly fancy those people in my Generation who were obsessed with anime from 2005. Amidst all problems CC was there. This shipped should never ever sink.

In lelouch of the resurrection, lelouch became immortal and proposed to C.C indirectly which C.C said yes through nodding and crying out of joy. they got married and spent the rest of their eternal lives going around the world purging it of unworthy geass users
I prefer this ending better than the R2 ending. I’ve shipped C.C and lelouch for who knows how long and to find out that the creators actually made C.C his love interest in the end, I can’t feel anything but happy
@@WhoTao-nm1uw yeah and the best part is if you did like the original ending this doesn't ruin it. They didn't retcon anything they simply made an alternative universe
@@MyMediaChops ik but I would like to think of it as the same universe because it doesn’t change the fact that lelouch is still dead in the main timeline 😭
See this is one of the few series that Im ok with the pairings overall and don’t feel bad for other characters. I mean yeah Shirley sucked but tbh she always seemed like a character that would die off for plot. She didn’t know enough. And I know what about best girl Kallin? Man there were like 3 guys that showed plenty of interest in her and were more than enough for her to handle. My favorite was the ole blonde dude at the end of the series I like to call Prince Charming.
This whole video puts perfectly why its one of my favorite ships my fav point was how he blamed her for giving geass but later said it isn't her fault. I think C.C. did love lelouch even before SPOILERS: the movie but like lelouchs other love interest both parties so focused on u know... kinda a world war at the time lol
Yeah, it's hard to think straight with bigger things going on. Yeah, I am glad you liked that point about Lelouch's anger for C.C. concerning Geass contracts. As I stated in the video it was something that I never noticed for the longest time despite watching the series many times.
@@MyMediaChops I don't know if anyone other than me noticed but being around Lelouch actually changes CC quite a bit. To me, it looks like immortal code bearers are mentally stuck at the age they were when they became immortal. In the main series/movie recaps, CC acts quite childish and selfish. She won't do any cleaning or cook for herself, always ordering pizza, probably with Lelouch's money. But by the time of the Resurrection movie, she cares patiently and tenderly for Lelouch like a baby when he was in his vegetable state, even cooks for him everyday like it was Christmas.
yeah, there are many times in the original series where Lelouch does not defend himself when he should. I think he was too distraught from what happened to even think that at the time. But it's a valid point
He preaching in favor of Zero in the funeral wouldn't favor him in anyway. It wouldn't convince anyone present to support his cause, if it could lead to innocent lives being lost. It wouldn't make his student persona look any better, since it wouldn't be supportive to his friend. Worst yet, it most likely would only upset Shirley even more. On top of that, Lelouch isn't one to make excuses for his actions. I'd say he doesn't even regrets what he did. What he was coming in terms with was that someone next to him could be affected.
Yeah there are not many and I just glad to be able to discuss these topics. I am glad you enjoyed the video. If you have suggestions to videos just let me know
@@MyMediaChops maybe some what if’s or alternate scenarios since there’s a good amount of possibilities like why if the black knights never betrayed lelouch or suzaku joined lelouch early on
I wish you'll get to read and reply to my comment. I really love your Code Geass contents. I am an extreme shipper of C.C. And Lelouch and I never imagined to see a content like this. You've pointed out almost everything that I loved about them and enlightened me more with your deep thoughts and observations. But there's another reason that I strongly believe that they are for each other even before the last film for the trilogy was released. And it is . . . The color of their eyes. They are complementary colors. ❤️ "color makes its impact from contrasts rather than from its inherent qualities....the primary colors seem more brilliant when they are in contrast with their complementary colors"- Calude Monet Doesn't that explain C.C.'s and Lelouch' relationship quite accurately?
Well they are a cannon couple. Of course she loved le louch. She just never had confidence in him surviving very long which is why she never would have expected to truly explore that possibility. She was very selfish because she was tired of giving everyone everything they want to be happy. She is above all self preservative.
Thank you so much for this analysis!!! I've never seen a more well-put-together video like yours anywhere that THOROUGHLY details how their relationship shifted throughout the seasons. Thank you!!! 💕
I like how on ment Lelouch was like “Ah but who’s more stupid the person trying to shoot him or the person trying to shoot the person trying to shoot himself?”
C.C. definitely viewed him romantically by the end but I suppose you could maybe make an argument that Lelouch was still in the process of figuring out his feelings. His reaction to C.C. almost being taken away from him by Charles in Cs world alludes to the fact that he had started on the process and later when the two share a tender moment after Lelouch tells C.C. that he does not blame her for the way his life turned out, you can see that he is completely comfortable with sharing intimacy with her. So while you can argue that Lelouch never fell for anyone by the time the show ended, it's quite obvious that he was on the right path as far as his romance with C.C. was concerned and it was just a matter of time.
C2 went to Mao to save Lulu. That’s very clear considering she spent the whole mini arc terrified for him and what Mao would do to him. And she was fully aware Mao might make her travel size.
For me yes, C.C. loves lelush and lelush loves C.C. Just one thing I did not understand, when you were talking about what C.C. has said at the end you said " either she was speaking to herself or to lelush " With this did you mean the spirit of lelush or the real lelush ?
To put it plainly: Shirley loved Lelouch Lamperouge the student Kallen loved Zero the leader CC loved Lelouch vi Britannia CC loves him for who he is. The others, upon knowing Lelouch’s true colors either wanted him dead or wanted to change him. But CC didn’t. CC loves Lelouch because he’s the one to understand her pain. And Lelouch loves CC for staying by his side even though he has many masks to wear. SThey both wear masks in front of other people and they tear it down when they’re alone together. She is his shield against the world and he’s willing to protect her conversely. That’s why I’ve always shipped it. It’s a beautiful romance compared to the others that is basically found in nearly every high school anime series. So... suck it, KalLu and ShirLu shippers.
It was pretty obvious from the start that Lelouch and CC were meant to be together. Kallen and Shirley loved who they wanted Lelouch to be, not who he actually was. CC was the only one he trusted with all his secrets, the only one he could truly be himself around, and the only one who accepted him for all he was, good and bad. CC wasn't just Lelouch's contractor. She was also his mentor, advisor, counselor, and most trusted confident. She also served as his full time caretaker and nurse when he was revived as a brain-dead vegetable. CC loved Lelouch when he was at his weakest and most vulnerable, not just when he was at his best.
C.C. tells Kallen she doesn't know if she loves Lelouch because she never experienced what love is so she doesn't know if that's what she's feeling even though she clearly is... Her whole life she's only been used and abused! Her true wish was always to be loved and because she lived so long and never was she became depressed and wanted to die. That's why her geass power was to make people fall in love with her because the geass power you manifest is based on your true desires. She was just a little orphan girl that wanted to be loved but never was until she meets Lelouch. When C.C. says she wonders if she'll have to wait for Lelouch to get back to fulfill her contract she's referring to her true contract which is her desire to be loved and not the false wanting to die one which is hinted that he figured out when he tells her he knows what she truly desires and that he will give it to her...
@@MyMediaChops Hah yea I know not everyone thinks about anime that hard but Code Geass is one of my top 5 favorites and I think it's pretty deep. It make's perfect sense though when you think about it with everything we learn about C.C's past... We know she was a poor orphan so no parents to love her, the nun that gave her geass that she actually trusted was only using her and traumatized her making her not trust people that easily again, she also says in her flashback that because of her geass forcing people into loving her and at that point she had the 1 eye always active so because of that she couldn't tell what true love was since she couldn't distinguish if they actually loved her or if it was just the geass talking, then I think after she gets her code she keeps to herself and travels getting persecuted every now and then for being an immortal witch before ending up with Charles and joining geass order where she was just being used again because they need her code she says as much in C's world when Charles and Marianne are getting absorbed that "the love they have was only for themselves", then she leave the order and finds Mao who she was only using like the nun did to her but eventually abandons him before finally joining Lelouch. When did she ever learn what love is? Lelouch was the 1st and only one to give it to her because underneath all the lies and the mask he's actually a very caring person.
I don't care what other people says. I still think Code Geass movie-verse gave a proper conclusion for this pair and gave them what they both really deserve, and that is to be together. I understand that Lelouch dying is an iconic moment in the series but I still think the ending of the movie where they both travelled while holding hands is much better.
I enjoyed this video so much 😍 Thank you for a such detailed analysis! I actually always interpreted their relationship dynamics exactly as you described, but I couldn't express it with such words and examples. Great work!
That would be interesting. Although there are two different universes so I guess one video for each. Also are you just talking about the original series or are you also referring to OVAs, Mangas, Picture Dramas, Audio Dramas etc etc
I still have a question why did V.V. kidnap Nunally wasn't it just to make sure Lelouch is out of the picture and so Charles doesn't have to deal with him and so he alter his memories so Britannia still stays at the top because he knew Nunally was Lelouch reason to live. SO that the black knights didn't win against Britannia
5 seconds in, sir, and you are INCORRECT! My favorite ship is Suzaku and Cecile! ...which is not in any way the subject of your well-made and great video 😅
There's actually ONLY one point for me that kept me away from the cc shipping and ravaged the thought of romantic love/ bond : C2 knew Lelouch's mother. Which leaves space for thought that she may have known Lelouch ever since he was a child. Haven't searched enough to see if there was a source to confirm this, but she could even been watching over Lelouch ever since he was in Japan with Suzaku. That... bugs me a bit. Simply because it would be abusive even for c2 to watch a child grow and then want to... you get my point. Kinda makes the romantic aspect to look somewhat...twisted, to the point of Oedipus complex and almost "pedophilic" (many shows promote such ideas, and hide those messages, often disguised in beautiful themes -characters etc). But that's something I could never support, much as incest. Young audiences might have never noticed those fine details, but more mature audiences (esp parents) might get an understanding of my way of thinking. So, in my mind, I believe c2 wanted something way deeper than erotic love- she wanted genuine, pure love, an everlasting spiritual and mental bond, a lifetime companion to her painful and endless journey. So, I do believe she truly loved him in the deepest sense of love, and he loved back the same way. Just can't interpret that as "romantic- sexual love", in the human essence. More like a soulmates bond, a kind of love that transcends time and space... And c2 had the deepest love, because of that. Ps. In ancient greece, the word "lover" (eros- erastis) did not represent exclusively the mutual love between partners engaging in sexual activity. It had a more "platonic" meaning, it could even be applied in partners of same sex, without meaning they had homosexual relationship or carnal desire. I'm unsure, then, if Japanese wanted to promote that concept...
I'm not exactly sure how to say this but if there was something it would be a non-traditional way that they felt for each other. IE I don't think there was a romantic type of love involved. I think it was more of a master/apprentice situation.
Has anyone watch that show recently, the are objectively terrible people. He also deleted humanities afterlife. But they also they trapped themselves in eternal life. Which is a the worst nightmare, lol. Even the powers of trunk-kun blessed on his high-way, couldn't save you from that.
what show were you watching. code geass ended at R2 for me as such i didn't watch any of the "season 3" R1 and R2 are what is cannon to me as R2 had a perfect ending. in my eyes and what is obviously most likely. they decided to forcefully continue Code Geass to bank off of nostalgia and make more money.
At 12:05, you said "she realized they only loved each other". Meaning that they didn't love her. C.C. stated that Lelouch was the only contractor she'd ever had who didn't see her as either a mother or a lover. Marianne was one of her contractors. 2+2=4. C.C. and Marianne were lovers. C.C. was in Marianne's bed when Charles and Marianne conceived Lelouch. "At last, I have found my--" son. But then, after he overcame Mao, she started to see him not as the child he'd been during her cameo pre-invasion, but rather as a better version of what his father had become. And thus as she saw him in a more adult light, her feelings turned. Interesting, huh?
@@MyMediaChops Sadly, I only have secondhand references to the statement, and I might be misreading the situation. I originally read about it on the show's tvtropes pages, and don't recall where I found the article that seemed to confirm it. Apologies.

700? Has it been confirmed that CC is really that old?
Spoiler meme from Tonikaku Kawaii-
Tsukasa from Tonikawa bring 1400 years old : "Amateur"
She is probably traumatized from love as well because of her geas
Or maybe she didn't want to step on kallens own feelings for lelouch (actually, zero)
The fact that she asked Lelouch if he hates her is enough. She wouldn't care to ask that if she did not love him.
Of course. If CC didn't love Lelouch, she wouldn't have cared what he thought of her.
1:30 “Lelouch eventually grabs C2 and they head to the bedroom”
We love this Code Geass content!!!
I am glad you enjoy it. It's why I make it to begin with
Due to my obsession of CC x Lelouch way back 2009.
I have always believed in these two they understand each other and tease each other a lot that’s why they are meant to change the world together.👍
I think you forgot to mention that, on Jasmin Island, after cc dropped Alex off, she basically killed herself to buy him more time. Which adds even more to their relationship. They did love each other, and they knew it, this isn't the typical romance you see in anime, is a really well done one, one that hits deep cock fuck. I think that's why most people love this ship more than any other in cg. I've watched this anime like 3-4 years ago and it still hits me to the core. An anime that resonates extremely well with certain people.

In lelouch of the resurrection, lelouch became immortal and proposed to C.C indirectly which C.C said yes through nodding and crying out of joy. they got married and spent the rest of their eternal lives going around the world purging it of unworthy geass users
that's seems right to me, I wonder if Z of the Recapture will explore this futher
@@MyMediaChops I’m not saying that I like the original ending, I just accepted it but yes, THIS is the ending that I was hoping for
See this is one of the few series that Im ok with the pairings overall and don’t feel bad for other characters.
Lulu Should’ve tried and defend zero at the funeral saying that just because zero did not save your father doesn’t mean he was the murderer
yeah, there are many times in the original series where Lelouch does not defend himself when he should.
Woah a code geass content creator? Awesome! One of if not my favorite anime series ever glad your making content on this!
Yeah there are not many and I just glad to be able to discuss these topics. I am glad you enjoyed the video. If you have suggestions to videos just let me know
@@MyMediaChops maybe some what if’s or alternate scenarios since there’s a good amount of possibilities like why if the black knights never betrayed lelouch or suzaku joined lelouch early on
@@alxzdoestuff I am taking notes these are awesome topics
@@MyMediaChops ive seen a lot of people do what if scenarios, but you could do like story or just theory type I think it would be cool!
Just subbed, need more code geass content
I wish you'll get to read and reply to my comment. I really love your Code Geass contents. I am an extreme shipper of C.C. And Lelouch and I never imagined to see a content like this. You've pointed out almost everything that I loved about them and enlightened me more with your deep thoughts and observations. But there's another reason that I strongly believe that they are for each other even before the last film for the trilogy was released. And it is
.

The color of their eyes. They are complementary colors. ❤️ "color makes its impact from contrasts rather than from its inherent qualities....the primary colors seem more brilliant when they are in contrast with their complementary colors"- Calude Monet
Doesn't that explain C.C.'s and Lelouch' relationship quite accurately?
thanks for the insights into color theory. It's always impressive how people continue to discover more interesting insights to these characters
You deserve a Sub My man

Can't wait to see your channel Grow Chief
thanks for the kind words
For me yes, C.C. loves lelush and lelush loves C.C.
Just one thing I did not understand, when you were talking about what C.C. has said at the end you said " either she was speaking to herself or to lelush "
With this did you mean the spirit of lelush or the real lelush ?
my bad I meant she was talking about herself or Lelouch not to. Good catch
To put it plainly:
Shirley loved Lelouch Lamperouge the student
Kallen loved Zero the leader
CC loved Lelouch vi Britannia
CC loves him for who he is.
@@Elly3981 it’s why I fuckin love these two together.
@@hitcherooney Yep. Those who think they have a mother and son relationship are in serious deluded denial.
@@Elly3981 lmao wtf when they banter they literally sound like an old married couple
@@hitcherooney Shirley and Kallen fans say that lol. They don't want to believe that CC is the one. 🤣
C.C. tells Kallen she doesn't know if she loves Lelouch because she never experienced what love is so she doesn't know if that's what she's feeling even though she clearly is...
I never considered that C.C. didn't know if she loved Lelouch due to not understanding love in general
C.C. are only two that match. Lelouch wasn't interested in other girls. Only c2 caught his attention and respect.
Just so y'all know
The first time they kissed
Lelouch was 17 and CC was 500+
She was born before the hundred years war making her 700+

That would be interesting. Although there are two different universes so I guess one video for each. Also are you just talking about the original series or are you also referring to OVAs, Mangas, Picture Dramas, Audio Dramas etc etc
Wtf some things wrong you have so good at this bro you deserve more subs
I still have a question why did V.V. kidnap Nunally wasn't it just to make sure Lelouch is out of the picture and so Charles doesn't have to deal with him and so he alter his memories so Britannia still stays at the top because he knew Nunally was Lelouch reason to live. SO that the black knights didn't win against Britannia

ABSOLUTE.
Can anyone explains me what is cs world
Thanks tho
C2 don't die
No not everyone's
Mine is lelouch and kallen
But mostly yes
Of course C2 loved Lelouch
There's actually ONLY one point for me that kept me away from the cc shipping and ravaged the thought of romantic love/ bond :
C2 knew Lelouch's mother.
Yes she watched over him as he grew up in Area Eleven. Falling in love with someone you knew as a child is not pedophillic.
💖💖💖
I'm not exactly sure how to say this but if there was something it would be a non-traditional way that they felt for each other. IE I don't think there was a romantic type of love involved. I think it was more of a master/apprentice situation.
I can sum up their relationship with one word.
The same word that Kamachi utilizes to describe Touma and Othinus's relationship.
Understander
Understand 'er? I hardly know 'er!
they are "partners"

Has anyone watch that show recently, the are objectively terrible people. He also deleted humanities afterlife. But they also they trapped themselves in eternal life. Which is a the worst nightmare, lol.
Even the powers of trunk-kun blessed on his high-way, couldn't save you from that.
what show were you watching. code geass ended at R2 for me as such i didn't watch any of the "season 3" R1 and R2 are what is cannon to me as R2 had a perfect ending. in my eyes and what is obviously most likely. they decided to forcefully continue Code Geass to bank off of nostalgia and make more money.
a
At 12:05, you said "she realized they only loved each other".
I am curious where is the source for that?
Me to, do you have a episode number showing that, or is that a manga only thing?
@@MyMediaChops Sadly, I only have secondhand references to the statement, and I might be misreading the situation. I originally read about it on the show's tvtropes pages, and don't recall where I found the article that seemed to confirm it. Apologies.

The problem is you're trying to analyze CC as a neurotypical woman when she is clearly on the spectrum.
