I really like it when a baritone sings this song. I wish you had the power and the passion and the correct intonation. My father was a baritone and he nailed it. You might have nailed it, but halfway through the song the choir started drowning you out. I would blame the sound guy, but it's obvious that you have been told how good you sing so much that you don't understand how the artist meant it to be sung. And when you changed the rendition and made it your own, you lost the intended intonation, as well as failing to drown out the choir with passion and powerful lungs. Just missed it. Kinda like when they ask artists to start a ball game by leading the crowd in singing the national anthem and they put their rendition out there; as if? I did however enjoy listening to a baritone. I'm sure your opinion is biased toward your father's rendition, and that's understandable. But Pierre sang it exactly how it was meant to be sung - with passion. The middle of the song is _supposed_ to be sung quieter. When a 60 voice choir is drowning out the soloist, you don't blame the sound guy. And you don't blame the soloist. If you have to blame someone, you blame the choir director, because he's the one who is supposed to make sure the choir is singing in such a way as to NOT drown out the soloist.

I really like it when a baritone sings this song. I wish you had the power and the passion and the correct intonation. My father was a baritone and he nailed it. You might have nailed it, but halfway through the song the choir started drowning you out. I would blame the sound guy, but it's
obvious that you have been told how good you sing so much that you don't understand how the artist meant it to be sung. And when you changed the rendition and made it your own, you lost the intended intonation, as well as failing to drown out the choir with passion and powerful lungs. Just missed it. Kinda like when they ask artists to start a ball game by leading the crowd in singing the national anthem and they put their rendition out there; as if? I did however enjoy listening to a baritone. I'm sure your opinion is biased toward your father's rendition, and that's understandable. But Pierre sang it exactly how it was meant to be sung - with passion. The middle of the song is _supposed_ to be sung quieter. When a 60 voice choir is drowning out the soloist, you don't blame the sound guy. And you don't blame the soloist. If you have to blame someone, you blame the choir director, because he's the one who is supposed to make sure the choir is singing in such a way as to NOT drown out the soloist.

I cry at the thought of what our God and Savior did for unworthy sinners such as I, and rejoice at the thought of the coming of the New Jerusalem, when "the night is o'er"! Hosanna forevermore!
