    I had no idea the zoom nagnification pieces are stackable, that changes things.

    Would it be suitable for astronomy? My ideal refractor would be equally suitable for terrestrial and sky viewing.

      Absolutely you can use the BTX for astronomy! For low light and night time situations, we always recommend pairing it with the 115 mm Objective to get the brightest image. Of course, it depends on which celestial bodies you're trying to see, but the BTX is more than adequate for many astronomy applications. Thank you for asking!

      @@jagmeetsmann Hello and thank you for commenting. Was your question a response to @mrh9635's question? We responded to his question as well but the UA-cam comment section hides certain replies. Apologies if it is not visible.

      @@Optics4birding I posted in the wrong thread. But my question is where is the expert in the video? The kid in the video? Please read some expert opinions on scopereviews , cloudy nights etc. Just blabbering will only make this channel end up like optica exotica channel. People who spend money at this level are very particular and such general comments are of no use to them.

    Is there a difference between using the BTX + 1.7 doubler, comparing with the ATX - both at 60 x power?
    I mean: is the image a littlebit darker because of the 1.7 doubler or is there no difference at all?

    • @Optics4birding
      @Optics4birding  4 дні тому

      Great question! Technically yes, the 1.7x extender decreases the overall light transmission by introducing extra lenses, but it isn't drastic. It gets tough to compare the brightness because you're looking through the ATX with one eye and the BTX with two eyes. The ATX is brighter, but having both eyes open can make your brain think the BTX appears brighter. Hope this helps!

    For the price it costs it should come with a Dwarf assist that would pop out of the case and set it up for you. Only someone with expendable millionaire money should consider purchasing this. Anyone putting this on the credit card is a moron, because by the time you finish paying for it, it'll cost you double. Such foolishness.
