George and Wesley are the ying and yang of modern golf. They're a lot of fun to watch and even more fun to listen to. The banter is amazing. Can't wait to see the videos next week.
I really like both Bryan brothers but no way is George better than Wes. Just watch the major breaking series that they play for proof. While I agree that George may be more solid (fairways and greens), more often than not Wes ends up shooting the lower score. Which, ultimately, is the purpose of golf.
I was going to comment on the Ketchup incident but I feel a lot of what I was going to say has been addressed below.....I'm not sure the podcast gained anything from the story and I feel the story only hurts your persona and USP of being that 30/40 something relatable slightly better than all of us golf dad....It was either a young girl putting herself through college or working class woman doing her best....I winced when listening ..............It may be time to employ someone to protect you from yourself......the guys are great but perform a cheerleader type role....I think you need a sounding board/checks person like an operations manger or a PR person to protect your brand.....I get that you are tired and jet lagged a lot and god knows family life is busy.........I wonder if you played the first 10 mins of the podcast to your wife what she would think....that might be your first port of call.................LOVE YOUR WORK...not hating ...as some might suggest... I am your target audience and this made me feel uncomfortable.
Waitress makes an honest mistake and there you are trying to get more freebies. How much did it cost you to play this course? How many freebies had you already been given? Why the hell should you get money off when it wasn't your meal or shorts that were affected?
I bet Wes and George send some Rhoback over when they hear this lol. But yeah I completely thought the same thing about the initial recap of the event.
I really like the Bryan Bros. I went from RS to Finch to BDS to Bryan Bros, so see a collab of them all is fantastic. Also, I gotta say, getting a podcast only a week removed from all the filming (kudos to all the editors) is so much nicer than the out of order videos filmed 3 months ago. Makes it more relatable and like we were all there.
"I was fuming" 🤦♂️ embarrassing, you've probably watched the waitress stretch to put it where you've pointed your finger instead of taking the plate off her to help... weird thing to mention on a podcast when you've just had a dream week playing golf. That 50% likely come off her minimum wage...
Rick, i am the head pro at St Annes tennis club. We have made the first steps to looking into padel courts. If it goes ahead you are always very welcome! If you or the family ever want some tennis or padel sessions, please get in touch
Padel is brilliant. The growth in South Africa has been amazing as well. Just a friendly caution, it's currently the biggest contributor to ruptured achilles tendons. So remember to stretch! Love your Pod.
Met the Bryan Bro’s, Grant and his crew at The Cradle. They were very cool and it was an amazing moment for my 12 year old. I was blown away at Luke Stoltman’s athletic ability. I see guys that are all yolked up on the golf course and they usually suck.
Wait, this "wanting compensation thing" and "fuming" at a spilled plate thing gets worse. He's saying this AFTER he won $45,000 on the skins game. You have GOT to be kidding me that you are THIS entitled Rick? Wow.....
Really starting to learn Rick isn’t the guy I thought he was. He flipped out on Peter Finch in the skins video, he probably made this waitress feel horrible for making an honest mistake. Very disappointed
Paddle is whats called pickle ball in the US, and everyones acting like its new. I've been playing it since the 1970's. It's not new at all, its just took 50 years for it to catch on.
Padel had a huge boost in Sweden during the pandemic and there where not enough courts to play so a massive expansion started. Today the boom is over and we have a lot more courts than needed, a lot of Padel company's has gone bankrupt and most of the once that still exist have financial issues
I really don’t think the story about the waitress was unnecessary. Even if this was an accident as a paying customer you were affected. Don’t read the comments, this doesn’t reflect badly at all !!
This podcast just confirms what a lot of us already know about Rick. A waitress makes an honest mistake, and he wants 50% off the whole bill and new shorts????? Extremely entitled behaviour, he tried to hide it by deleting the Titliest video but his true colours are coming through. Gross.
So you are telling me that you wouldn't want to be compensated for having your shorts ruined at least for the day ? They even said it was an honest mistake, like these things happen but you still have to still go about your day with ruined shorts for no fault of your own
@Craigeh08 I think you are missing the tone. It's the sense of entitlement. Personally, I wouldn't expect or ask for new shorts because some ketchup spilt on it, clean it up and move a long, stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.
On the Tiger brain question, this is a great example of the lack of understanding of what the brain is. In simplistic terms, the brain is the person. Guys comment that the guy with Tigers brain wouldn't have Tigers swing as he' doesn't have the reps' is a great example of this. We often hear the phrase 'muscle memory'. There is no such thing, all memory is cerebal, muscles dont have the structures to hold or recall memory. So if you had Tigers Brain you would be Tiger. All his memories, influences, experiences etc would be yours. The likely problems would just be physical ones (strength, mobility etc.) The swing would be Tigers, the will to win, focus, determiation, all Tigers. If you reverse it and put my brain in Tiger, he suddenly becomes the worlds ealthiest 16 handicap golfer!!!
all you haters that are dissing Rick on the now infamous ketchup episode need to get a life, he never said he was angry, didn't make fun of her, was simply relating the story with some tongue in cheek silliness. Why do you watch Rick's content if all you do is come on here and trash him? Jealousy, small minds, bullies, really find it in poor taste and shows your true character. Check out Rick's charities if you think he is a bad person.
aimpoint is fine it is part of the golf game as long as all players aimpoint together rather than one at a time. what should be banned is people counting scores and filling in their scorecard on or around the green
Aim Point is not the problem... it is 100% the time. The way that Rick does it in Videos, completely fine. Golf takes way to F'ing long with people not playing ready golf and playing from way too far back. The last thing I want to see is an idiot spending 15 minutes reading every put. Controversial thought, Golf should change to 3 sets of 6 holes. Traditionalist can keep playing 18, but then I could play 12 holes and go on to doing other things for the day.
Wes is much better than George. George rarely beats wes over 18. After watching the content you did with them I could see how you came to that conclusion. But wes is a legit tour pro and George is not
Anyone complaining about the waitress situation is dumb af, any normal human would have asked for replacement shorts after they were ruined. And knocking 50% off just one meal reflects poorly on the golf course
I had to dislike this one. First ever. Too much pointless irrelevant discussion. Not having a podcast last week wasn't the end of the world. If there is nothing much to talk about, please! don't bother having one. The interesting stuff about the new content on the way is definitely looked forward to though.

Agree. Just watch the major cut series. Wes is on another level.
@@MrGustoIT 100%. That's what I meant when I said 'Major breaking series'. At least I got 2 of the 3 words right 😂.
Plus the amount of times Wes has beat him in the 1v1 series they do lmao
Totally agree, get off your high horse Rick, it's not like you pay out of your own pocket for any of the services and food you consumed that day.
Guy: "Picture the scene....."
Me: "Skip 3mins"
"I was fuming" 🤦♂️ embarrassing, you've probably watched the waitress stretch to put it where you've pointed your finger instead of taking the plate off her to help... weird thing to mention on a podcast when you've just had a dream week playing golf. That 50% likely come off her minimum wage...

Welcome back to the Ricks Shiels Paddle Show Podcast
Just watching the video with Harry now, gotta say props to camera guy for back tracking the whole course there. I really enjoyed that format
That waitress ketchup spill story was a bit telling
As in who RS really is off camera, or...? Not arguing, just would like you to elaborate.
I'm so looking forward to all the stuff with Bryan Bros, Grant, Peter, FP, and yourself.
Rick I cried when I saw that their wasn’t a podcast because then I had to study for my exams without the banter in my ears😢😢
Sad sad man
Padel is brilliant. The growth in South Africa has been amazing as well. Just a friendly caution, it's currently the biggest contributor to ruptured achilles tendons. So remember to stretch!
Love your Pod.

Trust me, Ian's body is in pain every morning 🤣🤣🤣
So tiger waking up in a Ian's body, like the song lil dicky freaky Friday 😂😂 great podcast guys 🎉
"I have seen a lot of that, I haven't actually watched it but I have seen it" Thanks Guy!
The whole Tiger Woods brain thing was like a Karl Pilkington skit.
I really don’t like the way Rick complains about things after the fact … I could throw a name out there (🐓💩).
Wait, this "wanting compensation thing" and "fuming" at a spilled plate thing gets worse. He's saying this AFTER he won $45,000 on the skins game. You have GOT to be kidding me that you are THIS entitled Rick? Wow.....
The problem isn't Aimpoint, it is slow play.
Really starting to learn Rick isn’t the guy I thought he was. He flipped out on Peter Finch in the skins video, he probably made this waitress feel horrible for making an honest mistake. Very disappointed
if waitresses are chucking ketchup onto customers laps they definitely need ball washers.
Jaaaeeezuz this tiger body thing, you guys are nuts 🤣🤣🙃🙃
Paddle is whats called pickle ball in the US, and everyones acting like its new. I've been playing it since the 1970's. It's not new at all, its just took 50 years for it to catch on.
Would love to see Stephen Hendry on the podcast and playing 9 holes.
Could not believe my ears. You expecting a discount because waitress makes a mistake. Pull your head in bloke.
Padel had a huge boost in Sweden during the pandemic and there where not enough courts to play so a massive expansion started. Today the boom is over and we have a lot more courts than needed, a lot of Padel company's has gone bankrupt and most of the once that still exist have financial issues
You wanted 50% off all the food?? 😮
You never mention any courses down south!
Deal Royal Cinque Ports
Wentworth
Royal St George’s
So many amazing courses to choose from
I really don’t think the story about the waitress was unnecessary. Even if this was an accident as a paying customer you were affected. Don’t read the comments, this doesn’t reflect badly at all !!

I completely agree with you. He comes across as fine but he is really a nasty person
If they fuck my outfit and cant give me another pair of shorts, id want money off too
So you are telling me that you wouldn't want to be compensated for having your shorts ruined at least for the day ? They even said it was an honest mistake, like these things happen but you still have to still go about your day with ruined shorts for no fault of your own
@Craigeh08 I think you are missing the tone. It's the sense of entitlement. Personally, I wouldn't expect or ask for new shorts because some ketchup spilt on it, clean it up and move a long, stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Disagree. Ruined his shorts and though $3 in compo was fair. Really??? Poor customer service

'3:49' is it just me or does Guy refer to winning on the 'BJ tour'? LMAO
Aim point in the winter when greens are soft should be banned because of the damage caused especially when putting on similar lines.
all you haters that are dissing Rick on the now infamous ketchup episode need to get a life, he never said he was angry, didn't make fun of her, was simply relating the story with some tongue in cheek silliness. Spot on pal
He said he was fuming
aimpoint is fine it is part of the golf game as long as all players aimpoint together rather than one at a time. what should be banned is people counting scores and filling in their scorecard on or around the green
Sorry, Rick Grant already spoiled the money game on his 5 shot challenge with Wesley 😅
Peter Finch said about it last week on his podcast this lot just can't keep anything quiet lol
Yep. $5k per skin game. Grant just dropped it in his vid with Wesley
Rick I would have thought any normal Brit would have been more sympathetic with the waitress. You have let yourself down badly.
Will we see the different paddle rackets reviewed on H.I.T. channel?
Why on earth would everybody get comped for one person’s misfortune???? You’re at a clubhouse, not a Michelin star restaurant
Tiger woods brain in any 20 year old body wins majors within 5 years easy
35:30 lmao
Robin 😂
Ooops , sorry Rick you've breached my no dickheads policy.
RS...Congrats...!...$45000.00...wow...great job...now go fix your driver...lol
The ketchup story wasn’t that bad. People all dramatic in the comments.
🍆
Let’s be honest we are all excited haha

No, he didn't put in the work
Wes is much better than George. George rarely beats wes over 18. After watching the content you did with them I could see how you came to that conclusion. But wes is a legit tour pro and George is not
Lost alot of respect on this one. No wonder he wasn't invited to the creator classic.
Anyone complaining about the waitress situation is dumb af, any normal human would have asked for replacement shorts after they were ruined. And knocking 50% off just one meal reflects poorly on the golf course
OMG Guy stop talking so much crap.
Thank goodness for the rough cut podcast.
I had to dislike this one. First ever. Too much pointless irrelevant discussion. Not having a podcast last week wasn't the end of the world. If there is nothing much to talk about, please! don't bother having one. The interesting stuff about the new content on the way is definitely looked forward to though.
This is a Guy appreciation comment.... That is all
Rick is a terrible human
Guy, can you let Rick talk? Not sure why you keep jumping in when he’s trying to tell us a story which has nothing to do with you
Please keep your politics to yourself. Thanks
Stopped watching your all trump and musk supporters not good for our nw of England pathetic you support Bryson grant etc etc
Absurd…Guy doesn’t know how to spell or pronounce “absurd” 😂
It's good to see Rick endorsing Trump Vance 2024 lol!!
I mean it’s MISSING @golfsidekick how big could it be
