Dropping BIG PERCH For PIER GIANTS! (Juno Pier Snook Fishing)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 сер 2024
- Dropping Big perch for some pier giants is a great way to target snook in the summer time. Fishing for big snook from Juno Pier can be effective if you have the right bait, large sand perch like in the thumbnail are great baits for the huge over-slot snook. Fishing for snook from the Pier usually requirers some unconventionally large fishing rods and reels. I will use a huge set-up with 60-80lb mainline in hopes of safely landing a monster snook. Big snook from the pier can be caught other ways, however fishing for snook like this is my preferred method.

Love the Juno Pier videos, me and my dad used to fish there from the time it opened through 2008, brings back a lot of good memories. Now I'm in Red Tide Land (Tampa Bay) so I'll just be watching other people catch fish for a few months.
It’s painful seeing the devastation over there brother. Hoping the bay can recover quickly!
Oh snap! You were in the Marine Corps,… thank you so much for your service bro. Love your videos, keep at it!
God bless
Two in one net, that is so dope. Pier fisherman in soflo are on another level
Nice snook, bro. It’s nice to see a Utube video taken in my backyard. Thanks for your service to the Country, Matt. I’ll be looking for you, brother. ☮️j

Man Florida has an amazing snook fisherie, I wish we had that here in Texas
You only see the good days on UA-cam haha. Plenty of days getting skunked
I just caught my biggest a 33 inch and it was only my third but not the hardest fighting no run tarpon are far more fun to catch sharks too I like the fight but snook aren't my favorite
@@RyanMorie factual
You guys have all the gator trout though
It’s not as easy as you think dude there is a lot of learning that goes into it.
Thank you for your service! Great video!!!
Thank you for taking the hook out and releasing those beautiful snook to go have babies! Nice vid, nice music.
Bro you’re tripping for throwing that good sized mojarra back right at the end before fishing!!! That thing is the biggest candy bar for a snook that there is here in Sebastian
Other then you being a little older… another great Juno pier video from back in the day. Thanks Ryan!
More to come as well!
The legends back at juno

Sick boss 💯💯🔥🔥
Glad your back I missed your content!!!
I'm 51 now, but I used to look like the little blond haired boy in the red shirt dropping the net at the end. I hope he has as much fun out on the piers as I did at his age.
Good Job. Everyone had fun
Ron in los angeles
Thanks Ron!
Very good explanation on why to use heavy tackle in situations like this. I always wondered
Love you dude!!
You need to do another Juno Beach Pier fishing video soon!
Great video and nice to meet you Ryan at the bait shop i had the green PC shirt on
Nice meeting you too dude!
Haven't fished juno pier since I was twelve. I'm 52 know. Thank you please post more.
More videos coming soon!
George Moody my uncle used to own the Juno Motel -- a small 8-room (and he lived in one of them) right by the OLD wooden pier There were no high-rises, beach houses -- just his motel, a gas station/convenience store and a small diner. My Mom and Dad took my sister and me up there from Miami every so often and we would fish and swim for a few days. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that was when I was 10 and that was 1958.
Wow Good 👍👍
great action monster snook
Thank you Sir!
Was just in Florida last week catching monster nurse sharks on sand perch. The snook didn’t have a chance, but we put five good sized sharks on the deck in an hour. Those perch are like candy for a lot of critters down there!
I like how you say yes please respect
That Morjara or sand perch is best for Snook bait bruh, I also have lot of luck with free line and hand pick select shrimp. 🙂 I like to catch Snook in the flat wading with light tackle so much fun .
good viedo
Muy buen video hermano bendiciones
Nice snook, wish we had them in Gulf Shores, tight lines mane
So sick. Keep it coming. 👍🤘👍
Thanks dude!

🤣🤣🤣
We dont see that many snook here in Tx sadly. I like catching them. But really dont like fishing piers. But those pier rats are great kids. Learning young. Love to see it. I normally use a circle hook tho. You dont use them? Just a strong J? Looks like a great bite on tho.
run thicker line seems to be your biggest issue when i caught snook almost 6ft long i had wire i dont really see the point in mono
Good video friend , was just checking out your great channel and i joined up
Welcome aboard brother!
Nice Ryan! Hey you gonna do any kayak fishing vids?????
In the beginning
what type of conventional reel were you using for the snook i thought it was a senator but realized it was something different
It was always a good thing to go home on leave and crush some snook, reds, and trout. Glad to see you made it back down. Where’s the red and trout action from NC?
We're catching them here in South Tx. Some BIG Bulls about. Even the wife caught her PB of 45" last week and it was only the 2nd Red she had caught, Gave her a workout from the boat lol
That first one you caught was a palometa
You mean mojarra ?..
Been to Juno many times.
Hey Ryan, what sunglasses do you like the best, Costa or Smith?
do you guys have gilthead breams in florida or something similar?
Yo I fish here all the time
here in califrnia people pose with and take pics of fish the size of your bait
Haha to each their own!
what's your opinion on telescoping rods?
How do you compare Juno to Sebastian ?
Which do you like more ?
Great video bro! When are you taking Landshark to Okinawa so we can fish together?
Good video 😄😄what’s the song in the intro ?
Hey Ryan I live in port at Lucie do u think it’s worth the drive down to Juno!!! Love the video btw!!
Just depends if you’re willing to get skunked haha. I drove from Sebastian this day!
@@RyanMorie oh ok thank you man!! I love your channel SO MUCH!! Keep up the good work!! Tight lines brother!!!

How do you compare Juno with Sebastian? Which do you like more ?
What do you think of penn slammer ii ??are you looking in the deirection to one ?
Losing hooks in the fish isn’t the problem, It’s fish getting off the hook 😂
I went to the Okalossa Island Pier and had a massive King strike my X-Rap and miss. The guy beside me was fishing for BoBos and was watching me jig it through the water while high up on the pier like that, we were both like “Oh My, Damnn” we just stop for a second, make eye contact and continue to fish like it never happened.
I was fishing out there last Friday and some lady who worked the desk threw my off for hooking a shark like that.
what rod were you using for the snook?
I just cast netter a 1.5 pound striped mojarra😂
I live in pompano im always on dfp how do u compare Juno to the dfp I’m gonna maake the trip down there in the am I think love the vids
I have a spinning reel with a 8lb resist line can I go pier fishing with it?
Man I'm trying to catch snook over here in Puerto Rico and no luck. 3 weeks of pure agony.
15:32 why would you pull up the net from that side you almost made the kid lose his fish 😅
Can't u use a steel leader so the fish dosnt bite and snap the line ?
You could, snook tend not to bite on steel nearly as well though. They’re very visual feeders
Thanks for explaining the use for heavy tackle, I’m not a conventional fan but what spinning real size would you recommend? 6k Saragossa? Almost locked down drag ?
More like a 10000PG. The 6k doesn’t nearly have the cranking power you’d really want. Additionally you’d want to add a heavier mono top shot like (40-50lb) as braid is very unforgiving on these pilings.
@@RyanMorie thanks got the response I’ll definitely look into it
Can someone please tell me the rod and reel set up and if possible price
Whats the song in the beginning?
Any king mackerel at this pier
Love your video
What are your thoughts on the stradic FL versus the Vanford in a 3000 size
Both great reels. They’re essentially the same thing with different body materials. The Vanford isn’t worth an extra $20 IMO because the FL is plenty light for my purposes. It’s definitely a personal preference
@@RyanMorie thanks
He snook out of the net!
(I'll see myself out).
🤣🤣🤣you got me with that one
How big are those snook? They look massive on camera? What’s an average size for that pier?
Average size at the pier is like 34-35
@@csmithfishing4380 Thanks. They look so much bigger on UA-cam!
How’s Sebastian inlet this Time of year? Nice vid.
It’s solid for snook in the morning and evening
@@RyanMorie sick thanks man.
What's that song
Yo
Yoooooo
These summertime fish have been pretty skinny for what I’ve noticed.
We call the bait your using shatbars
Bruh there called sand brim
good video but music really sucks!
When did you change your name? I noticed a few vids ago but I didn't ask.
Better use circle hooks to avoid fraid
Need better background music or just none at all. Anything but the "Yo yo yo" stuff.
1
U killing the fish by throwing them
Psychopath, as a child we made dinner for the family from the bait, why terrorize the fish, for some sick pleasure. If you're not going to eat them why torture them?
