She said she is being in immigration detention for three year.

No. That's only if a police officer pulls you over in your vehicle. You have to show your driver's license. If you're not under arrest or being detained, you don't have to do anything. Just exercise your right to remain silent.

@preachcaleb I agree that you should exercise your rights. I just do not understand why police cannot ask for identification. People are starting to fight them when they get pulled over and everybody's going against the normal and it just takes so much time and money. But yes absolutely we have a right to stand up for our rights. I think I will talk to my congressman about making it legal to show identification to an officer of the law I just feel like there's a lot of extra rhetoric going on with everybody showing their ID nowadays. We don’t have to identify ourselves to strangers if we don’t want to. Police are no different unless there is a legal justifiable reason. We have constitutional protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Never talk to your congressman about giving up rights. It’s unconstitutional. That’s not what the United States is about.
