Thank you for sharing this. This is the way for strangers like myself to commemorate Sir David, by watching him doing the job he loved.
My thoughts go to his family, friends and those that knew him.

At the end of the day regardless of what political party you supported he was still a human being who was someone's husband, father, close relative and friend. I hope the government will take action in giving MPs the security they deserve

Don't know the man, don't know his politics but always have pity for family and friends of one who is murdered

Sad that he won't get the opportunity to put questions on that bill's reading on the 25th October. But he seems he may have succeeded in getting Southend city status. A fitting legacy for a fine champion on these issues.

We don’t speak enough about the brutal assassination of this decent man. Extreme violent crimes are more prevalent today compared to say 20/30 years ago. I speak from personal experience. My country seemed to be more peaceful no that long ago.

Sir David Amess was opposed to the terrorist Islamic regime in Iran. The ruling regime in Iran usually does not use Iranians to assassinate its opponents !

Why do the MP keep in standing up and sitting down in parliament, to avoid falling asleep? (So it's obvious if one has fallen asleep). 🤔

It's called "bobbing" and MPs do it to try and catch the eye of the Speaker, in hope that he (or she) might call them to contribute to the debate. MPs can submit questions to put to a Minister of State, or other points to put to the House during discussion, but not all can be accommodated. The Speaker will usually interleave submitted questions/statements with those of the "bobbers," and it is customary to alternate between MPs from the government benches and MPs from the opposition benches - as happened on either side of this contribution; after David Amess (Conservative) had spoken, a member of the Scottish National Party was called, and given Jacob Rees-Mogg's reference to socialism at the start of the clip, we can reasonably assume that a Labour MP had just spoken.

Tell you what they should be talking about. Sinking every single fucking dinghy that is heading across the channel. His blood is on their hands. RIP David.

A life for a life, eh?Indiscriminate sinking of the innocent along with the criminals? Using a sledgehammer to crack a nut? There are better solutions to the problem of illegal immigration than just sinking every dinghy.
