I am trying to remain perfectly neutral but this "shaman" media stunt that HYBE pulled really made me doubt how solid and bullet proof HYBE's case against MHJ is. There should always be room to speak up. Always. There is something really toxic about silencing or immediately firing someone with an opposing view. It speaks strongly about the "health", so to speak, of that environment. Healthy environments accept opposing views and then work it out. It's sad to see Ador's CEO get attacked in the comments. Honestly kudos to her for speaking. It's actions like this that make the change for women in boardrooms and improving future working environments. She’s not just expressing an opinion. They literally uncovered her plans to take over Ador and break off from HYBE. It’s a breach of contract and very serious. They are in the same company. It should have been handled internally if she felt that strongly about it. She attempted to ruin the success of another group. So no, she didn't convince me from ONE press conference - I was referring to earlier articles printed before her press conference. Additionally, my comment about women was much wider than this one incident. It was related to the fact that women are many times blacklisted, not only in Korea, but many parts of the world where men still hold a "higher place in society" so to speak. The full timeline of events: Bighit+Source planned to debut new gg under source and launched the plus global audition in 2019 with Minji being the face of the audition. (Minji was a prominent Bighit trainee that SM wanted for quite some time).They also hired min hee jin as creative director. The girls were training under source preparing to debut but in 2021 Mhj demanded she get her own label to debut the girls and not under Source Music. And they actually complied with her and gave her fully funded new company. She took the girls and staff from Source which rendered them broke. That led to them having to disband gfriend. And literally form a group overnight to debut to save them from bankruptcy. Imagine the hardships Lesserafim had to go through (some members having only days to prepare to debut). Ador fully used BTS fame to promote newjeans and after around 2 years of debut she is now demanding hybe give up ador. She has done every lowly act to ruin the reputation of Hybe artists so that ador people can convince hybe to give up ador and even brought the newjeans girls family to this mess. Even threw the very young Illit under the bus to establish her agenda.

hybe claimed to have substantial evidence of her contractual violation regarding leakage of confidential contracts / trainee infos / abuse of power to make change in personnel. after the conference she basically admitted to almost all accusations hybe threw at her already. it's only a matter of time until hybe came public with their evidence.
I haven't seen a subtitled version of the press conference, but "breach of trust" is different from "breach of contract." Nobody knows what the wording of her contract is, but Hybe isn't accusiing MHJ of not performing her functions as manager and apparently no moves against the company were ever actually made so trying to criminalize discussions about taking on the company may be tricky without any actual actions. MHJ has denied the allegations against her anyway so it's going to be on Hybe to prove their charges and this may be just lawfare to try and force her to resign.

There should always be room to speak up. Always. There is something really toxic about silencing or immediately firing someone with an opposing view. It speaks strongly about the "health", so to speak, of that environment. Healthy environments accept opposing views and then work it out. It's sad to see Ador's CEO get attacked in the comments. Honestly kudos to her for speaking. It's actions like this that make the change for women in boardrooms and improving future working environments. Even if she's wrong, there should still be room for voicing an opposite opinion, and then solving it appropriately. Sometimes that may mean court, but the way this is being handled is simply just egotistical. I feel so bad for New Jeans. I'm hoping in the end they win. I'm also hoping that this issue of blacklisting people who speak out stops in Korea and that even if she's fired, she finds support. Working environments need to improve!
She’s not just expressing an opinion. They literally uncovered her plans to take over Ador and break off from HYBE. It’s a breach of contract and very serious. The whole plagiarism thing is just an excuse that she was looking for. And even if that plagiarism thing was the only thing she did, it was extremely unprofessional for someone of her position. They are in the same company. It should have been handled internally if she felt that strongly about it. She attempted to ruin the success of another group. So ruin a source of profit for the company. HYBE has every right to take legal action against her and kick her out. It’s not about her being a woman.

She has convinced you with ONE presscon that the issue is actually abt workplace abuse and ill-representation of women in corporate world, while she got 20% shares in a company without delivering any profits in the 1st year, 16B won funds to launch just 1 group because of their faith in HER, attempted a corporate espionage, leaked private info of other artists to create negative mediaplay for them & the company and push her artist instead, allegedly committed breach and privacy violation - all criminal actions btw. Hybe has proof of all this and has filed a complaint already. I'm a woman, and with all due respect, being a woman doesn't automatically absolve you of any criminal activities you do, just by quoting 'misogyny'.
To the responses above: my comment was made before her press conference, and was in response to the many articles which stated she would be fired even before a proper court case was carried out. So no, she didn't convince me from ONE press conference - I was referring to earlier articles printed before her press conference. Additionally, my comment about women was much wider than this one incident. It was related to the fact that women are many times blacklisted, not only in Korea, but many parts of the world where men still hold a "higher place in society" so to speak. If you also read my comment thoroughly, I said "even if she is wrong, the issue could have been handled better". So my comment does NOT justify her behaviour and actions. It is stressing on the point that there should be room to speak out without a sense of threat so to speak. At the end of the day, I always say where there's smoke, there is fire. She may have been exposed in this round, but for people to think that HYBE is super clean here is, well........ Now after watching parts of her conference, she's probably dug her own grave here but still, we have to think about the power that HYBE holds...... I'm not even a "bunny" but I really feel bad for New Jeans. Really bad. I'm hoping things work out for them. Sending light and love to them.

Simply stating facts as korean media has already written multiple articles which are trending on Naver questioning NewJeans postion and intentions and calling the situation similar to 50-50. Which it is because MHJ has made it very clear in both her statement and today's press conference that the group and their parents are fully in her favor. If all accusations are proved true then NJ's stance would be questioned. MHJ has made sure to tie herself with NJ which is not good for NJ repuation if MHJ gets caught in court case. If they stay at Hybe they will be fine. So far it doesn't look like they plan on leaving Hybe. But if they follow her then the grp will be seen as traitors just like 50-50. And I have seen plently of beauties and talented idols career being destroyed in minutes thanks to scandals. Unfortunately that's not enough to save you sometime.

The full timeline of events: Bighit+Source planned to debut new gg under source and launched the plus global audition in 2019 with Minji being the face of the audition. (Minji was a prominent Bighit trainee that SM wanted for quite some time).They also hired min hee jin as creative director. The girls were training under source preparing to debut but in 2021 Mhj demanded she get her own label to debut the girls and not under Source Music. And they actually complied with her and gave her fully funded new company. She took the girls and staff from Source which rendered them broke. That led to them having to disband gfriend. And literally form a group overnight to debut to save them from bankruptcy. Imagine the hardships Lesserafim had to go through (some members having only days to prepare to debut). Ador fully used BTS fame to promote newjeans and after around 2 years of debut she is now demanding hybe give up ador. She has done every lowly act to ruin the reputation of Hybe artists so that ador people can convince hybe to give up ador and even brought the newjeans girls family to this mess. Even threw the very young Illit under the bus to establish her agenda.

hybe claimed to have substantial evidence of her contractual violation regarding leakage of confidential contracts / trainee infos / abuse of power to make change in personnel. after the conference she basically admitted to almost all accusations hybe threw at her already. it's only a matter of time until hybe came public with their evidence.
I haven't seen a subtitled version of the press conference, but "breach of trust" is different from "breach of contract." Nobody knows what the wording of her contract is, but Hybe isn't accusiing MHJ of not performing her functions as manager and apparently no moves against the company were ever actually made so trying to criminalize discussions about taking on the company may be tricky without any actual actions. MHJ has denied the allegations against her anyway so it's going to be on Hybe to prove their charges and this may be just lawfare to try and force her to resign.
There is nothing about to do with New Jeans, they worked hard, they are on their berge of stardom and just continue supporting them.
