How I think Slushii was uncorrupted: Since Bezel is the embodiment, maybe he had some cool power to bring someone alive, whatever the circumstance was. Since Bezel wasn’t exactly immortal, he had to resurrect someone with good aim. So that’s exactly what he did.
I see it more as Aftermath because of how Hawt Saus goes out similar to Quagmire (Survives for a while and never stops fighting, but ends up being taken anyways).

He was consumed and enveloped into darkness. Chken tries to help but see's the monstrous Sody. Thats the end of the starting cutsene. The song would be place like triple trouble xenophanes section 2 specifically. So xenophanes would be on the right but look far away. Instead of xenophanes their it would be chken trying to protect Chee (Cheezborger) and Slushi. In the other characters place it would be the corrupted Sody pop. Chken Nuggit would slowly get corrupted as the song goes on. More characters would leave everytime Chken got more corrupted (Except Chee and Slushi). For an end cutsene Chken would push Chee and Slushi out of the way signaling them to run as Chken Nuggit becomes one of the monsters and go's berserk.
I'm assuming maybe he tried that, but since The Darkness is a watchable entertainment based entity, it just fast forwarded it back to after Hawt Saus killed Chikn, leading to Buzzed Off happening.

He won in a way. He took Chikn & Cheezborger down with him. With them dead, it let the others (Slushi, Iscream, Fwench Fwy) slowly free themselves without interference and allowed them to outnumber and free Sody Pop by force.
