I have Just spent 4 miserable days in the hospital because I didn't go to the dentist when I should have , to get an abscess taken care of PROPERLY AND PROFESSIONALLY . I decided to " pop " that abscess on my own . Folks I Will NEVER ever do that shit AGAIN . I learned a very valuable lesson this week . And I will be seeing a dentist indefinitely from now on . Ludwig's angina is a very serious infection all of the symptoms explained in this video are very correct AF , I almost died this week . It is Very important to visit your dentist or any dentist as soon as you can DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MESS WITH YOUR MOUTH OR TEETH BY YOURSELF . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !
@@johnnyblades4314 in my case many blood tests ,cat scan with the dye injected of course , a few different intrevenious antibiotics 4 and half days worth to be exact and let's not forget the numerous times they come to draw blood i felt like a pin cushion . Luckily I did not need surgery , this could be life threatening if it swells up too much your airway can narrow i was very light headed or you can get a very nasty blood infection i forget what it's called , i got lucky .
I Have just got back from the hospital. They said i have ludwig infection! They sent me home with paracetamol and antibiotics. I just came on here to see exactly what i have... now im scared!!!
i honestly never knew about coagulase and abscess connection ...damnnnnn makes so much sense now and i dont think ill ever forget staph is coagulase + !!!

Why maxillary teeth infection do not cause ludwig angina (submandibular enlargement ) although submandibular lymph node drain their lymph , thank you ?
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Yes, I have watched it. At 7:52 you describe Ludwig's Angina as a fluctuant mass (which it is not) and an abscess of the floor of the mouth (which it is also not). You call it an abscess again at 9:28 11:24 and 11:26.
Fair enough...It’s cellulitis...But, according to UpToDate: It’s generally without abscess. Also the same source says that abscesses can develop late (not in the first 24-36 hours). It mentions that if the patient is not responding to antibiotics, or if fluctuance is detected, needle aspiration should be attempted. I agree that it doesn’t have abscess in most, but not all, cases. Thank you so much for taking time to reply. Have a wonderful day!
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis my health is good and I can breathe again! I went hospital after only 2 days of symptoms as it was progressing down my neck and swelling under my tongue so fast. I went straight into surgery to have an infected tooth removed and jaw drained. Then on IV antibiotics for 2 days. Feeling much better just need to recover from the existing trauma. It’s nice not choking trying to sleep. Look after your teeth!

why have crepticus means anaerobe bacteria?
Correction: It is NOT an abscess. It's a cellulitis. Also, no fluctuance.

In case 6, which was before the lecture begins, the correct answer was cellulitis (not abscess).
