@@tonysean9149 probably by looking at what he portrays... how he comes off in his videos - you can't know 100% unless you ARE Mark Weins. Maybe when the cameras are off he has an attitude. Maybe not. Maybe even if he does seem to have an attitude he's a brain in a vat - and so even he can't know if he's humble or not. My point is... when someone says something like Debashish has said... being charitable is a good way to go imo. He's obviously looking at UA-cam videos, maybe some articles etc. So he's making a claim based on what a reasonable person without access to MW but only his videos, videos about him and maybe some articles would make based on what he has access to.
He's just as happy as he was over 10 years ago when he started. He deserves absolutely everything. He also edits his videos himself. Very hard working, intelligent and entertaining

@@matt-moneymatters9992 yes. My stepdad comes from Vietnam. He would always be cooking something up whenever he wasn't working for that Boeing company as a machinist. I often thought if my step dad ever lost his job as a machinist he could be a cook. That's how good he cooks. But he is in retirement now. So I guess he has more time for cooking and things like that.
Mark is an amazing, humble and simple person and his food reach or knowledge is immense. I salute his views wherever he goes, he has some amazing stories to share on the travel and food platform..... We wish him all the very best.
My question is: why does it matter what he makes?? He’s great at doing what he does and from my perspective, it’s nobody’s business what he earns. I love watching Mark, and all his travels and the food he eats.
Because it can inspire other people to follow in his footsteps if people realize you can make a good living on UA-cam. It’s not like they are talking about what size shoes he wears or where he gets his hair cut.
Because some people get jealous and want bad people to "take care of them" by putting their business out in the open. Hopefully no one tries to rob him or worse because he walks the streets with no security all day every day.

He deserves every cent. He is humble, always smiling. Despite his impressive earnings, Mark is down to earth, not lavish, not showy and not flashy at all. He and his family live simply. He lives with Ying (his wife), son, parents-in-law and sister-in-law in a big, spacious mansion in Bangkok. (I saw the video). Besides viewing his food reviews, I enjoy his accommodation / apartment reviews and airline food reviews too. He is so positive, he is able to turn a basic and simple accommodation at $25 per night in Cambodia, to one that is exciting, archaic and a treasure. Hats off to him la!

His wife often holds the camera though, but I would still consider that DIY as he doesn’t travel with a designated, paid, outsourced cameraman, it’s himself or his wife filming, on the odd occasion there may be someone from a group they’ve met up with or something like that. He also edits himself instead of outsourcing it
He is a US citizen so must pay tax in the US. He is a humble guy. I love his videos. I have visited some of the places he visited and they were absolutely amazing
I agree with everyone else. Mark Wiens deserves every cent he makes. His videos are informative, fun, and relaxing. He is gracious and funny, a little self deprecating, and if you've been a long time viewer, you feel as if he is exactly who he portrays himself to be. I was so very happy for him and Li when Micah was born. That was like a family video for the world.

So, is he really a made man now? He lives the dream of many people but those sequels of 30 min we see are really the summary of days. He came up in my recommendations while I was watching a lot of Strictly Dumpling/Mikey Chen and Sweetandtastytv/Miss Mina Oh on UA-cam as I really like food and travel vlogs, especially from Asia and mostly from Japan, Taiwan and South Korea but also Philippines has been growing on me lately. I’ve visited mainland China myself, last trip was little over 11 years ago now, but I do miss it and Asia in general so I found videos on UA-cam to wake up memories or feel inspired for future travels. Mark is most definitely more of a spice head than I am (I don’t like spicy food even though I can tolerate it pretty well) but yeah, he’s just such a genuine guy. He could totally wear expensive brands all the time and own a luxurious house, but he chooses the more simple life and wearing his own merch a lot of the times for t-shirts, caps and now also masks, and I just think it’s awesome! He’s just such a humble guy

It may cost “a lot” to travel and try foods around the world but if it’s a business which it clearly is, he can charge it as a business expense and claim that on his taxes. So...there’s that additionally he gets lots of stuff for “free” so I guess no one is asking about gift taxes... of course it doesn’t hurt that he’s sponsored by several government agencies to make travel videos in their country through their tourism office and gets loads of “free” airfare, hotel stays etc. something doesn’t sit quite well with this guy...especially when he was asked if he was American on camera and he replied I’m from Bangkok...he was in a country that didn’t seem friendly to Americans despite not speaking Thai well. Also, does Ying, his wife receive a salary, since she films and translates most of the time?
I been watching him for years. But since he’s rich and all I hope he’s helping the poor. It’s not an obligation but if you have a heart don’t forget about those in need

@@tonysean9149 probably by looking at what he portrays... how he comes off in his videos - you can't know 100% unless you ARE Mark Weins. Maybe when the cameras are off he has an attitude. Maybe not. Maybe even if he does seem to have an attitude he's a brain in a vat - and so even he can't know if he's humble or not. My point is... when someone says something like Debashish has said... being charitable is a good way to go imo. He's obviously looking at UA-cam videos, maybe some articles etc. So he's making a claim based on what a reasonable person without access to MW but only his videos, videos about him and maybe some articles would make based on what he has access to.
He's just as happy as he was over 10 years ago when he started. He deserves absolutely everything. He also edits his videos himself. Very hard working, intelligent and entertaining

I often thought if my step dad ever lost his job as a machinist he could be a cook. That's how good he cooks. But he is in retirement now. So I guess he has more time for cooking and things like that.

My question is: why does it matter what he makes?? He’s great at doing what he does and from my perspective, it’s nobody’s business what he earns.
I love watching Mark, and all his travels and the food he eats.
Because it can inspire other people to follow in his footsteps if people realize you can make a good living on UA-cam. It’s not like they are talking about what size shoes he wears or where he gets his hair cut.
It’s not hard to understand why one would be curious about what you can make on youtube
Because some people get jealous and want bad people to "take care of them" by putting their business out in the open. Hopefully no one tries to rob him or worse because he walks the streets with no security all day every day.

Despite his impressive earnings, Mark is down to earth, not lavish, not showy and not flashy at all. He and his family live simply. He lives with Ying (his wife), son, parents-in-law and sister-in-law in a big, spacious mansion in Bangkok. (I saw the video).
Besides viewing his food reviews, I enjoy his accommodation / apartment reviews and airline food reviews too.
He is so positive, he is able to turn a basic and simple accommodation at $25 per night in Cambodia, to one that is exciting, archaic and a treasure. Hats off to him la!

His wife often holds the camera though, but I would still consider that DIY as he doesn’t travel with a designated, paid, outsourced cameraman, it’s himself or his wife filming, on the odd occasion there may be someone from a group they’ve met up with or something like that. He also edits himself instead of outsourcing it

So, is he really a made man now? He lives the dream of many people but those sequels of 30 min we see are really the summary of days. @@matt-moneymatters9992 I’ve been following Mark on UA-cam for I think 2-3 years now, maybe a bit longer. He came up in my recommendations while I was watching a lot of Strictly Dumpling/Mikey Chen and Sweetandtastytv/Miss Mina Oh on UA-cam as I really like food and travel vlogs, especially from Asia and mostly from Japan, Taiwan and South Korea but also Philippines has been growing on me lately. I’ve visited mainland China myself, last trip was little over 11 years ago now, but I do miss it and Asia in general so I found videos on UA-cam to wake up memories or feel inspired for future travels.
Mark is most definitely more of a spice head than I am (I don’t like spicy food even though I can tolerate it pretty well) but yeah, he’s just such a genuine guy. He could totally wear expensive brands all the time and own a luxurious house, but he chooses the more simple life and wearing his own merch a lot of the times for t-shirts, caps and now also masks, and I just think it’s awesome! He’s just such a humble guy

@@monkeynator1234 Yes, if you are a U.S. citizen or a resident alien living outside the United States, your worldwide income is subject to U.S. income tax, regardless of where you live. However, he may qualify for certain foreign earned income exclusions and/or foreign income tax credits.
It may cost “a lot” to travel and try foods around the world but if it’s a business which it clearly is, he can charge it as a business expense and claim that on his taxes. So...there’s that additionally he gets lots of stuff for “free” so I guess no one is asking about gift taxes... of course it doesn’t hurt that he’s sponsored by several government agencies to make travel videos in their country through their tourism office and gets loads of “free” airfare, hotel stays etc. something doesn’t sit quite well with this guy...especially when he was asked if he was American on camera and he replied I’m from Bangkok...he was in a country that didn’t seem friendly to Americans despite not speaking Thai well. Also, does Ying, his wife receive a salary, since she films and translates most of the time?
I been watching him for years. But since he’s rich and all I hope he’s helping the poor. It’s not an obligation but if you have a heart don’t forget about those in need

I thought of Investing in bitcoin around July Feb 2018 but was discouraged with the rise and fall of bitcoin. I don't know if it's still safe and ideal to invest now and what platform is recommended

Are you sure Mark is a Thai Citizen? I think he’s a US citizen living in Thailand which means he would pay US taxes, not Thai taxes.
