Dear Grace.
You are free to give your opinion.
But I think what is important here is the message by the speaker and not sitting position etiquettes.
You have no idea what that guy is going / might be through. He may have challenges in bending his knees or sitting in specific positions. So please don't judge people by the way they see sit or stand.
